Valors have provided us with multiple opportunities throughout the last year that we would have not had otherwise. My son and I were able to attend a bowl game together as well as hold the flag on the field during the Fiesta Bowl. Incredible experience. We’ve been introduced to a great community through Valors and incredible people throughout this non-profit. It’s been a true blessing to have been involved with this community. RO is incredible to work with for events, very organized and detailed. There’s some incredible momentum going forward that will benefit Vets and their family, creating memories that they may not have had the opportunity to have otherwise.
Valor's Veterans is an incredible organization led by Ro Gonzalez, a true force in the veteran community. Every time I’ve reached out to Ro for support, his response has been: he will make it happen. When I say Ro works his magic, I mean it—he genuinely goes above and beyond to assist Veterans in every way possible.
One story that stands out: a Veteran I was assisting needed bus passes but couldn’t pick them up at our office. Without a moment’s hesitation, Ro personally picked up the passes from me and delivered them to the Veteran, ensuring he could get to his first day of work the following week. Another memorable moment was when Ro, in partnership with another organization, wanted to bless a Veteran family with holiday gifts. As soon as I suggested a deserving family, Ro immediately said, “Say no more—I know exactly who you’re talking about. Just send me their wish list and sizes.” That Christmas, that family experienced a holiday like never before, filled with joy and support.
Ro’s dedication extends far beyond holiday cheer or transportation help; he’s committed to providing career assistance, housing support, fuel cards, and even unforgettable experiences like Cardinals games, soccer matches, and movie premieres. Ro’s passion and dedication to the Veteran community are truly unmatched. I have yet to meet someone who does it all with such heart and commitment.
Valors Veterans bring veterans and families together to do great things in our community. From the honor of carrying the American flag onto State Farm Stadium to casually watching a movie together at a local theater, RO and his crew create camaraderie in a world that is frequently crazy. Many thanks to this group for all they do for us.
Such a great organization that is able to give veterans amazing experiences like helping out with sporting events and a place to be heard.
Valors Veterans Community AZ is an amazing nonprofit that supports veterans in all ways possible. They provide so many social activities that any vet is sure to find one that is of interest. Valors keeps vets engaged with people to help ease transitions back from duty, gives new purpose with various charity efforts and even works to help find new jobs to bring individuals back into the workforce. Valors has received several awards and works cooperatively with other organizations and nonprofits to support Veterans all over Arizona.
Valor Veterans is an amazing organization and their CEO RO Gonzalez is one of the most inspiring influential vets in the greater Phoenix area. I have yet to run into another veteran in the nonprofit community that is as caring and devoted to assisting other veterans. I mean come on he literally uses is own paychecks to assist other veterans and help his nonprofit provide for the community! This isn’t just a bunch of nice felt things said towards someone, these are no bs FACTS! I bet you cannot find a single veteran in the nonprofit community in the Tempe/Phoenix/Tucson that hasn’t heard of (VVC) Valor Veterans Community! I’m very proud to know him and have worked with him to assist veterans in the past!

I appreciate Valors Veterans! This group truly stands for the veteran community. Thanks R.O. Keep up the great work
I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with Valor for Veterans, led by RO, and I’m incredibly grateful for their mission. RO does an amazing job bringing veterans together and connecting us with resources. The sense of community they foster is truly special. Whether through their events or resource networks, Valor for Veterans has made a real difference in my life and the lives of many others. RO and his team genuinely care about supporting veterans, and I’m proud to be part of this community.
I’ve been part of Valors in many ways to help and support this nonprofit. A lot of great work is being done to help and support our Veterans.
I've only experienced great things with this organization. Thank you so much for bringing the veterans community together and for standing by those who are feeling alone
Valor Veterans Community AZ (VVCAZ) stands as a linchpin organization in the realm of veteran assistance and community-building. From its inception, VVCAZ has carved a vital space for itself by centering its mission around connecting veterans with their peers and various veteran resources through social activities and meaningful engagements. I have watched over the past 5 years, under the committed stewardship of its Executive Director, RO Gonzalez, VVCAZ has proliferated into an organization of immense influence and impact, fostering an environment that nourishes the financial, physical, and psychological well-being of veterans and their families. I can honestly say that the work of VVCAZ has saved many veterans’ lives by making sure they had a brother or sister veteran to lean on.
This organization and the founder do so much for Veterans with endless energy and enthusiasm. The unconditional assistance provided to Veterans benefits those beyond the organization itself.
I am happy and grateful for RO for helping me by supporting my veteran-owned business. He is truly a man of service. Thank you for all you do.
Valors and RO Gonzalez are an amazing resource for veterans in our community. Veteran resources are scattered, not always easily navigated or found. Especially when a veteran is in need. The challenge of finding help can be overwhelming to say the least. Valors helps connect dots when dots are not easily connected.
This non profit has impacted my family three fold. It has connected myself with other veterans which allows me to feel centered in a time I felt I didn’t belong outside of the military. It has also given my boys experiences I could have never provided for them. Because of this group, my boys now have interest in sports and being part of groups. I am absolutely so grateful for this group.
I work for an organization that connects warriors and caregivers to programs outside the DoD! Ro is always quick to answer any questions and give information to better serve our population! Valors Veterans is essential to the veteran community as an asset to enriching lives.
Valor Veterans group is an amazing group that helps veterans get out to watch a movie or a baseball game. They really help bring veterans together and help them with resources they may need. If you ever get the chance to volunteer and help, please do! You won't regret it.
Valors Veterans is not just another organization that touts helping Veterans. It is very helpful and engaged in the community. They help Veterans find jobs, engage with each other, and works with other Veteran organizations. Valors Veterans provides bicycles to help with transportation, blankets in the winter, food, job leads, a lot more.
Incredible group of people and Ro Gonzalez is committed to serving Veterans and impacting the community however he can. Great resource for Veterans and their families and they have lots of fun doing it!
Valors leaders do a great job of supporting the veterans in Maricopa county. This group goes above and beyond to provide a sense of community that all veterans yearn for.

Valors Veterans Community provides Veterans with physical, social and volunteer opportunities in the Valley. They also provide opportunities for non-military community members to get involved and support Veterans as well as the community. Ro Gonzalez has been very welcoming with linking local and national veteran organizations together to provide invaluable resources to the local veteran community. Valors providing a space to share resources and connect with each other has been a gift to our community.
Valors is an amazing community that does incredible work for Veterans. They're one of the rare Veteran non-profits who really focus on building community and helping others.
Valors Veterans Community AZ is a wonderful organization that supports local vets. They are actively involved in the community and attend several events to support those who served. Not only do they support those who served, but this organization creates a family and an acceptance of you being a brother or sister in arms!
My participation in this community has been somewhat limited due to my location in relation to the group itself. However, events are scheduled in many different areas of the valley. They offer events that appeal to a wide variety of participants. Additionally, they do a lot to help the community. From forming groups to help load moving vehicles, to providing resources to help secure employment. When we were having car trouble, we were provided a carburetor and tires for my husband's motorcycle, which was essential for him to get to work.
The Valors Veterans Community invited me to Black Rifle Coffee Company for the best coffee in town and a presentation regarding products available to veterans. This was information that is not normally distributed at events that I've been to with other organizations.
It was evident that this organization is one that has the wellness of veterans in mind.
The work that Valors is doing to bring veterans together with other veterans and needed resources is an essential service that was not being done by anyone prior. Saving veterans’ lives. How could it get any more admirable than that!
RO is amazing. His passion for helping his fellow Veterans and brining together the Veteran community is top notch. Valors does SO MUCH for the community from fun outings like movies and ball games to gatherings to connect and network and discuss with others how to best serve our local Veteran community. Thank you RO for all you do and Valors Veterans Community of AZ is top notch!
Awesome organization that brings veterans together to continue the strong camaraderie that was offered in the military. Not only have I met some great people and attended fun and resourceful events, but someone even donated furniture and I was able to pick up an antique desk to resurface, which is both therapeutic and rewarding. Thank you, to RO and all the volunteers that make it happen. Your mission is invaluable.
VALORS has helped with with getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. I have been attending movie screenings, attend spring events with my kids and even ride bike with other Veterans. The coffee socials are fun and the Army/Navy game was at Dave & Busters which my kids loved. Thank you VALORS for all you do for our Veterans.
I found Valor Veterans during my transition from active duty to civilian life. Even though I was born and raised in the Valley, Ro and his team really helped when I needed a military family. It's a tremendous relief knowing that I have people to reach out to that understand what I'm going through as I still try to assimilate to civilian life. Thank you Valor Veterans
Valors Veterans Community reaches out and engages Veterans in the community. They have provided free bicycles to homeless Veterans, reached out with food resources, provides opportunities for Veterans to preview movies. Also provides opportunities to go to sports venues. They also set up opportunities to volunteer to give back to the community such as Christmas Angel, and water stations during races. Ro Gonzalez is the right man in starting Valors.
Always going above and beyond to help veterans build confidence and engage with the community while having fun.
Well, this non profit helps with a lot of veterans that are seeking assistance or meet up with other veterans for volunteer work. Ro does a great job in support of Veterans in Maricopa county or in the City of Tempe! I would like to do more for my community of veterans and Valors Veterans Community AZ can help do that.
This is a great worthwhile organization. I would recommend it to any veteran who feels they would benefit from getting together with other veterans to relax, laugh and unwind. Come enjoy a cup of coffee or a scenic bike ride, or maybe attend a sports event or movie screening. In addition, they give back to both the veteran and non-veteran community through volunteering. It’s a good place to find out about resources, benefits and sometimes, BBQs.
Valors Veterans Community is a great nonprofit. They are dedicated to connecting veterans with the community and resources. It is a much needed service.
Valors veteran community is awesome. From the community events and get togethers, to the outreach they are always working to help. they provide a wonderful space for anybody who needs anything at anytime.
Valors Veterans Community AZ is a nonprofit that actually cares about the mental and physical health of veterans. Not only do they take us out bike riding when the weather is nice, they have many events for social and physical activities. They also have resources that have helped me out in several occasions. One of the best camaraderie environments I've had the pleasure of belonging to.
I heard about Valors Veterans Community in late 2017. I saw that they engaged with veterans of all eras and that they were present practically in every outreach event around Maricopa County. As I referred other veterans and eventually connected with them too, I see their value in our community.
Veteran coffee meet ups, free attending to sporting events, movie premieres, volunteer opportunities for various agencies, feeding the hungry, bike riding as a team, building camaraderie...the list keeps going.
I am blessed to have connected with Valors Veteran Community.
I have known Valors Veterans Community AZ for 2 years and everything I have witnessed has been to the benefit of the Veteran community. I have also ran into and spoken with the founding member RO at the Phoenix VA medical center, as he was making his rounds to speak with Veterans and employees to get their feedback as to how Valors can assist them.
I have also attended multiple Veteran town halls and Valors is always a staple at these town halls it seems. I see their volunteers speaking with the community and providing resources that can enrich their lives.
Many times, I see Valors also hosting events that I have personally volunteered at or benefited from. In one instance, Valors was able to connect Veterans to a Cardinals games in where the group built a friendship, while enjoying the whooping the Cardinals were dishing out. For some Veterans, events like the one described are the only opportunities we have to connect with another person.
I did not mention the bicycle rides and donations. Ro truly understands the importance of getting outside and building a community/ friendship. RO has spoken to me personally on how coming together for social events is therapeutic for many Veterans suffering from emotional and mental trauma. Nothing heals the soul like another good soul. I would recommend this non-profit organization to our brothers and sisters in arms! Thank you RO for what you do for us Veterans! AATW!
We love this organization for all it does! Every week there are opportunities to serve and support veterans or attend free events! They know how to keep you active and engaged with others! It's such a warm and welcoming community!
We have never met anyone quite like RO Gonzales. He is so friendly, helpful and dedicated to the mission he created for VVCAZ! No other organization does this much for veterans and their families!
I became a member of valor veterans community at a rather difficult time in my life , I had lost my 47 year old wife Kimberly to a massive heart attack a few months earlier, Ro encouraged me to come out to the activities and then to volunteer, I have been a member for about 2 years now and I love Valors mission of engaging one veteran at a time

Valors became a part of my life during a very difficult time in my life, my wife passed away in November of 2018 and I was invited to a Valors event a few months later and I have been volunteering and attending events regularly ever since.Valors is a great community of Brothers & Sisters from all branches of the military
I have been attending Valors events since last year; one of the best parts.is meeting and sharing conversations with other veterans. After leaving active duty, I found it very difficult to connect and engage with civilians; mostly because we didn't speak in the same context.
Now when I meet with other Veterans at events, we have stories to share and we understand each other.

Valors on 8th and Ro provide a much needed service to our military and Veterans. I got out, after 4 years, back in the 80's and it was a difficult transition into civilian life for me as I didn't have much in common with the people I met, even other Veterans as they were involved with their own adjustments.
I have been participating with VON8th for about a year now and I enjoy attending the events. I feel at home. Ro has created an atmosphere where we all are equal, regardless of branch, MOS, rank, time in service, combat or no combat. We can just sit, share stories, and drink coffee from time to time.
We also participate in other community events, non-military, like the one where we hand out water to runners during a marathon or triathlon. Shows that us as a military community can still be a contribution to others.
Thanks to all organizations that donate to make this possible.
I just moved to Phoenix, Arizona and was telling a co-worker how I needed to get out and meet people since I was new to the area. My co-worker mentioned he was a veteran and attended some of the meet ups with Valors, which it would be a good start to connect with people. That night I searched for Valors via Facebook and Ro Gonzales immediately messaged me about the Non-Profit Organization and how he helps veterans. This organization not only gives back to the community, but assist veterans and supports in their needs. I am coming up on a year with being a volunteer veteran with Valors and have loved assisting the non-profit organization as well as it assisting me in my overall healthy and well being. The organization definitely helped me connect with people both veterans and military supporters, which I now have great friendships due to the group. It also has been fun working with Valors and supporting different events.
Great organization helping veterans of all eras and services. I’ve assisted in food drives and care packages, been a recipient of a road bike in order to join other veterans in bike rides in the Phoenix area. Highly engaged leadership always looking to serve Veterans!
I’ve been a member for almost a year now and my experience of this group is amazing. I love the people, RO is the best thank you so much, I love you my valor family
I’ve learned many things from this organization. I’ve met many veterans from this organization. I’ve done a few charitable events with this organization. This organization cares for its member and I mean it. Ensuring our life of serving still has a purpose of serving and giving back to the community, not just giving back to the military community! A great organization ran by great people!!
I met Ro in 2015 with another veteran organization and i kid you not he was the first friend i made when i got out of the Army. Since then he has taken that drive and motivation and made Valor's the best local Veteran outreach organization in the whole country.

I went on an outing of sorts with RO and Valors on 8th. Simple event. Stand up in front of a room full of students and just say name rate and service. I have a reputation as a good speaker at funerals and weddings and have even spoke/preached at church a couple times. But to stand up in front of a bunch of wide eyed grade schoolers almost took me out. But really it was a chance to sit with them have a bit of breakfast and coffee. Then have sixth graders look up to you. DANG. And it was like being with shipmates 7 or8 of us different branches different times and it all gave me value and made me remember the look in those kids eyes was not about the who , what , when or where. They looked at all of us for who we were. That one thing we all shared. Someone asked who will go and we all said send me. And that's what those kids saw. Thanks RO. And it's not right that I have to choose one role over the other to post this review. I started as a volunteer and ended up as a client served.
I separated from the Air Force in February 2019 and Valors on 8th was the first veterans organization that reached out when I moved back to Phoenix. I quickly learned about all the awesome activities Valors on 8th hosts for veterans. The first even I was able to attend was a memorial day ruck around Tempe Town Lake and from the moment I arrived at the event I was welcomed with open arms. Valors on 8th is an incredible organization that goes far above and beyond to help veterans and does so with genuine enthusiasm. Big thanks to Ro and Valors on 8th for everything they do for the veteran community!
RO Gonzales has been top notch when it comes to helping vets in so many ways! When it comes to me, it helps me get out of the house more and be around others, and to enjoy an event. His selflessness is that which many cannot understand, so thank you sir for all you do in the community.
I immediately felt like family. Ro is a dedicated retiree with a huge heart for his fellow military veterans. Valors allows us to interact with one another and receive benefits from the local community. You feel like you belong. Great people all with huge hearts.
Valors on 8th, is very visible in the community providing several ways for veterans to engage.
1. Providing educational and social opportunities to help veterans
2. Finding ways for veterans and their families active and doing things together socially
3. Most importantly finding and organizing opportunities for veterans to volunteer and help in their community.
Valors on 8th is a great organization helping military and veterans. Please support them! We work with them often on projects for service members. Great people!
Incredible hearts for veterans and an uncanny ability to network and make important connections in the community. I am a Marine Corps combat veteran rated at 100% for Combat PTSD and Valors on 8th assisted me and my wife with getting a bike so we can exercise and enjoy quality time together. They are a huge and much needed asset in the community.
Valors on 8th is the best! They help veterans get involved with the community. Ro does an amazing job!!
One of the first organizations I came across when I moved to Arizona & I had the opportunity to attend one of the veteran engagement events. RO Gonzalez (the boss man) is such a kind & caring person. His passion for veterans shines though & the community is lucky to have this organization!
I love this organization! They keep veterans engaged and are active in the community. Their passion is amazing!
Fantastic group, involved in the community. Getting veterans involved with various events, running, biking, hiking, walking. A great group to be a part of. Valors on 8th, get involved, you'll see many more opportunities that is available.
They are doing a great job at offering a variety of different opportunities to get people/veterans involved.
The work that they do is amazing. So many activities and the great information shared to the Veteran community is outstanding.
VALORS ON 8th. Does a great job getting veterans together in a group setting. It helps people to interact and remain social.
What RO is doing with the organization is amazing for our community. I fully support Valors and their mission.
Valors on 8th gets veterans out of the house and engaged in the community. This organization doesn't require you to join a running club or just do service, it's all things. Tickets to pre-screenings of movies, Monster Jam, baseball, football, etc... Valors is an organization for veterans and their families. Hope to see you out soon!
I feel that this organization is great. The resources that are available to our Veterans that deserve the best: They have fought for our country~ served our country~ Freedom is not free. The resources available to them such as affordable housing along with their families, education, wellness and any other kind of supportive services that are available to them are helpful and useful in so many ways. Bringing the Veterans together and being able to volunteer at many events are ways to always give back to the community by showing support and compassion for all.
This is an incredible non profit organization set up by an true American hero that I'm proud to call my friend. When is comes to veteran outreach in AZ look no further.
Engaging with veterans and the community in a positive way. Provide activities and volunteer opportunities for veterans. Awesome way to connect with current and former service members.
Valors is exceeding the expectations of the veteran community in which it serves and is doing great things! Veteran engagment is important and assists veterans with reintegrating back into society and meeting new people. Valors does an excellent job in making sure there are events and activities to accomplish that.
