Mission: Valley Horizons mission is "to provide a local home where independence and responsibility can be fostered in a safe and nurturing environment." Valley Horizons was established in June 1998 due to the lack of appropriate housing locally for young mothers who find themselves in need of a safe place to live. Our primary goals are to provide stable, safe living accommodations for homeless pregnant and parenting youth 16-25 years of age, assist them in developing both the skills and personal characteristics necessary to live independently, and assist them in becoming more effective parents.
