From the bottom of my heart thank you for the grant! Not only is it a huge financial relief, it also gives me a lot of hope and inspiration for the future.
I'm very much looking forward to helping out with the Vail Valley Charitable Fund this summer.
“I have lived in the Vail Valley since 2002 and have served as a state trooper in the valley since 2008. I truly know what it takes to serve the community. It has always been comforting to know that the Vail Valley Charitable Fund shares the same values that I do in serving our locals. I want to thank the VVCF for all their generosity during the past 16 months of my recovery. It was a true pleasure and an amazing experience to work with them.” -- Local State Trooper
We first became aware of the Vail Valley Charitable Fund 9 years ago when my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thyroid Cancer. We had great health insurance and we both had good jobs. Brian is self employed, so he had no sick or vacation time.
The diagnosis of cancer changed our financial status from stable to panicked as he had two surgeries and two sets of treatments. The loss of income was substantial. We received a grant from the Vail Valley Charitable Fund which enabled us to pay some bills while Brian could not work.
As a result of the aid from the VVCF, I wanted to be involved in the organization is some capacity. I was hired as the Executive Director almost 4 years ago! I am so proud of the mission of the organization: to help Eagle County residents that are struggling financially as a result of a medical crisis.
We have helped over 1700 applicants and donated more than $7 million.
"It is with much gratitude that I thank you for your generosity. It has been a journey the last six months emotionally and financially, but your financial gift has eased much worry and burden. Thank you. I have two more surgeries ahead of me, but because of your help I can face them without the worry of how to pay for them.
With deepest thanks,
A grant recipient
The work the Vail Valley Charitable Fund does is crucial to the fabric of the Vail Valley community. They help families in need and provide a way for neighbors to help neighbors. Knowing this kind of support is available is part of what makes Eagle County a great place to live. Their staff is extremely hardworking and incredibly kind. The Charitable Fund makes the community stronger with their work.
The VVCF assists Eagle country residents who have experienced medical crisis, allowing them to focus on healing. Every community could benefit from this type of organization providing compassionate support for those in need.
The Vail Valley Charitable Fund financially assists locals who are overwhelmed by costs associated with a medical crisis. I donate to this organization because I don't want to see local families declare bankruptcy over a serious medical issue. People who have serious medical conditions should focus on healing, not on how to pay for a procedure or treatment.
This organization relies on donations from individuals and local businesses, go support them today at www.vvcf.org
VVCF is an absolutely amazing organization and incredible asset to our community. Even with the change in leadership over the last couple of years, VVCF continues to provide crucial assistance to people in need in the Vail Valley. When my son was going through cancer treatment, VVCF held a fundraiser for my family that was an incredible success and one of the most amazing outpourings of support that this valley has ever seen. I am indebted to VVCF and I volunteer to help at as many events as I can, but it is just a token compared to what my family has received from VVCF.
The Vail Valley Charitable Fund is an extraordinary nonprofit and valuable resource in the Vail Valley. Their ability to provide financial assistance in time of need helps those affected by medical crisis to focus on healing and getting back on their feet. It is comforting to know that organizations like VVCF exist to help offset some of the stress that comes with an unexpected medical crisis.
I started out getting help after a bad accident. Four years later I help at as many events as I can. This is an amazing organization that helps people though fundraising events and great general events!
