Every time I enter the building I feel at home. Aileen runs a tight ship, and it always works out in the end. After working at Vagabond, you will feel like a better person in more ways than one.

Vagabond makes me a cheerier, more outgoing person. I've gained new appreciation for theater through this group and made many new friends. My younger sister started in Vagabond when she was a little kid and shy, and now she is a social butterfly and very self-confident, and is very well-prepared for the arts middle school she's starting in the fall.

Before I came to Vagabond I had very little confidence and I was too shy to audition for anything. Now through being in two shows and helping on other shows, I have gained the confidence to put together a strong audition and even be in a musical. I had never considered being in a musical before because I was too nervous to sing in front of people. However the lessons and encouragement I received at every rehearsal helped be become a confident performer and have more confidence in my everyday life as well. Thanks Vagabond for a life changing experience!

A wonderful group that is always open to new ideas. A well established and all inclusive children's program, with many new programs in the works for adults. The support and confidence the children get from live theatre will help create well rounded and confident children as they learn and play.

My volunteer work has been very limited, so I actually consider myself more of a general member of the public. Additionally I have experience with theatre, both in school and the community, going back over 30 years so I feel I have a good sense of what makes good theatre. VAT consistently provides professional quality productions. Every single show I have seen has greatly exceeded my expectaions. And any time I have doubts about how the company will "pull something off" I come away more than impressed. An example of this was a recent production of "Little Shop of Horrors." The staging of Audrey II, (the Venus Flytrap, for those unfamiliar with the story) and the growth of the plant was fantastic.

Vagabond is a community theatre that offers many opportunities for kids, tweens and teens (and adults) to learn self-confidence and self-discipline through performance. They are encouraged through rehearsal and they can learn so much about the industry if that is what they love. My kids have benefitted greatly from being part of this wonderful organization! They have developed as both people and actors. I highly recommend this group!

Vagabond Acting Troupe has been a wonderful experience for both of my children. My oldest has developed her talent and confidence so much in just the past year it is unbelievable. She has truly blossomed into a serious, focused actress in training. My youngest has just started and I have already seen improvement in his focus, talent and confidence as well. The staff are also parents who have patience, compassion and understanding as well as many talents and knowledge to share! I have seen amazing transformations in all the kids in this theatre family and enjoy being part of the group.

Vagabond Acting Troupe is a great community theater where kids, teens, and hopefully soon adults, can express their love for the arts! But even more so the theatre is great for kids just getting in to the industry and starting out! As a fellow vagabond I started with Aileen and I learnt everything I know today from her! Then I went on to VAT and that was where I became a more well rounded actor. But now after leaving the theatre and doing shows around the tri-state I can happily and truely say that working with Aileen and VAT helped me with becoming the actor I am today and why I am still getting booked in productions at other theatre with more competition! Great place for fun, theatre, friends, a date night, whatever!!

I have been with the Vagabond Acting Troupe for about 3 years now but I have worked with there excutive director Aileen McCulloch for almost 7 years! She runs a great theatre which could be big time! I have learnt so many great things throught this theatre that I will always remeber and bring them with me in the future years a successful actor because of Vagabond and Aileen! I have also been given the best opportunites that a lot of young actors my age don't get which I am very appreciative for! I would say this is a great family to belong to, very welcoming, talented, fun, and great! Its a perfect fit for me and I'm sad that I will be leaving soon to go and do bigger and better things! A lesson I have learnt from here "ALWAYS REACH FOR THE STARS AND IF YOU HAVE DETERMINATION YOU WILL SUCCEED!"

Vagabond Acting Troupe is an educational and experimental works theater dedicated to teaching artists the ins and outs of theater through production work. Vagabond Acting Troupe has been doing this work for over 20 years, and was recently named as number 1 on the PHL 17 Hotlist for children's entertainment. The staff is much beloved of the students, and the company has just been able to expand from a one stage theater, to having three separate performance spaces.

Vagabond has been wonderful for our family- the kids and parents are welcoming and supportive, and though there is a competitive process for auditioning, the staff is so supportive and helpful it makes even the audition a learning process. So glad we found Vagabond!!

I'm so thankful we found Vagabond Acting Troupe. I have been driving my daughter long distances for years to find an experience that really teaches her the rewards and challenges of her current chosen profession. After auditions, she told me she had learned more from the VAT team in one day than she did in weeks at other programs. The staff treat the kids as professionals, but they don't forget to allow them "kid" moments. My daughter has already signed up for the next two shows, and has a new group of friends. As a parent, I've been to many organizations that have a high level of competition between "stage moms". This was NOT my experience at Vagabond, which made the whole experience positive. The staff work hard to keep egos at the door and help everyone learn and have fun.

Vagabond Acting Troupes gave me the experience of life time. I was able to help out with make up and props. I was also give a wonderful opportunity to get up on stage and act in one of their professional shows. I got to meet a wonderfully supportive group of friends and I look forward to continuing my work with them in the Fall season.

I'm always impressed with the quality of productions that Vagabond puts out with such a short amount of time. The staff and young actors all work very hard and each time they give the communtiy a quality show that would rival some professional perfomances.

My daughter did two weeks at Vagabond's summer camp and couldn't wait to do it again. When the fall workshop started she could hardly wait to get started. She is typically nervous in new situations, Vagabond has helped her come out of her shell by making new friendships with many new faces. There are many, many important lessons that are taught at Vagabond, the most important being hard work does pay off. She can't wait to get to work at the next workshop.

My son has learned so much though his experience at Vagabond, (with his singing, blocking, writing, basically every aspect of theater) The director has so much professional experience she passes on to the kids, if they wanted to work in the field, they would be prepared. Its a very encouraging environment for every skill level. And the parents are so nice too!

My daughter just completed her first, of what she hopes to be many, workshops at Vagabond acting Troupe and is still singing it's praises. We were amazed at what she learned and at her level of involvement I the production. The entire program was a learning experience for her but the most amazing part was that the production was fabulous as well. Everyone we invited to see the show raved about it. When children can experience the success that comes from such quality they truly learn the value of effort in production and I believe that is what Vagabond gave my daughter.

Vagabond acting troupe welcomed me as a young theatre artist in Philadelphia, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. I grew up with Vagabond; I interned, I became a core ensemble member, I acted as the company’s vocal coach, I even became a board member. My experience with Vagabond was a crucial factor that led me to pursue my MFA in Dramaturgy at Columbia University. Now as I work professionally in the NYC theatre scene, I often think of the many lessons I learned from Vagabond. The organization supports creativity, encourages collaboration, makes hard work fun, and always finds laughter in the rehearsal room. Vagabond is serious about play and is truly an open and encouraging organization. More than anything, I carry Vagabond's enthusiasm for theatre with me wherever I work. I only have great things to say about Vagabond and send all my love and support to the organization from NYC. I miss Vagabond!

When I first joined Vagabond Acting Troupe as a little fourth grader I wasn't sure what to expect. They had came to my school to present one of the plays they were showing at the time and my friends and I thought it would be interesting to try. I had no idea how life changing the experience would be. I have always enjoyed singing and dancing, but it wasn't until I entered Vagabond Acting Troupe that I got over my shyness to show others how much talent I truly had. Before meeting Aileen and the rest of her wonderful cast I would not sing in public and speaking just in front of people was mind boggling. Vagabond taught me that it is okay to be goofy, in fact people actually enjoy it. I have been in five shows now with Vagabond and have even branched out to act else where as well. The only flaw that Vagabond seems to have is it's advertising. It mostly relies on us, the actors, to bring in the ticket sales. While this is absolutely expected I wish that they would further assistance with this to bring more people to the many wonderful performances they put on. Vagabond is the roots and upbringing of my self confidence. This summer I will be traveling to Hollywood through a Girl Scouts Destination trip to change my acting view to a director's viewpoint thanks to a wonderful reference from my favorite director at Vagabond. I never imagined I would be doing something so bold and thanks to Vagabond Acting Troupe my dreams have truly come true. I am now not afraid to speak in front of people, in fact I am often one of the first people to volunteer when it comes to such, and I find a joy in acting that I have never experienced anywhere else. With Aileen's help I have show great progress as an actor and simply as a person and my only hope is that this great organization will continue to help children like me achieve their dreams.

I have truly appreciated over the years the instruction Aileen has given my 3 kids. I have watched my daughter's love of theater grow and I attribute a lot of that to Aileen giving her a chance and some pretty good roles. She is fearless up on stage—for the most part. Her desire to do more in theatre has not waned and every time I ask her if she wants to take a break, she says she does at first, and then she changes her mind and wants to do another show with Vagabond. Both she and my oldest son want to do more--possibly professionally-- and I attribute that to the theater education and confidence they have gotten from Vagabond.

Our daughter has wanted to try acting for several years. A year ago a friend recommended Vagabond Acting Troupe to us. She participated in her first real production and fell in love with the theater. She just completed her second show with Vagabond and the improvement is dramatic. The group there are so helpful in helping her learn how to perform. Can't wait for the next production.

One of my students served as a high school intern with Vagabond Acting Troupe. He had an amazing experience. He recorded origional music for a play, edited video, and performed administrative duties. He learned a great deal about what it is like to own your own business and work in the theater industry. His mentor Aileen was the very best, because she allowed him to create and express his musical talent as well as learn some of the business aspects. I appreciate the excellent job she did. We were lucky to have Vagabond as part of our School to Career program this year and look forward to working with them again.

I volunteer, work and am a board member for vagabond. My daughters love to perform there. I've even gotten my nerve up after all these years to act. The experiences that vagabond gives us and the self-confidence it helps build in children makes all the work worthwhile. Vagabond allows children, teens, and adults to live out dreams. The audiences get a great treat as well!

Vagabond Acting Troupe performed "A Year With Frog and Toad" for the children of our school. This was done to support our school's RIF Reading Program. Their performance was outstanding and their willingness to work with us was more than we could have asked for. The entire cast was comprised of school age youth. What a great show! Vagabond Acting Troupe is a such a positive asset to our community! We look forward to working with them again.

My son is an actor in Vagabond and he has learned so many important key aspects to acting through it. His abilities have greatly improved and his desire for acting as a professional is a sure thing. This organization is wonderful, I just can't say enough about it. The professionalism that is used in teaching their students far out reaches any aspectations I could ever want for my son. If you are looking for a program to put your son or daughter in this would be the one.

Vagabond Acting Troupe has a long history of exceptional theatrical creativity and service to the community not only through providing topnotch entertainment but also through training young actors in a professional way, and not only through acting and training in the technical aspects of theater but through writing their own material, such as the wonderful production some years back of "The Art of War" and the new myth musical "Zeusical". I'm happy to have seen their shows since the troupe began, and I'll always be a supporter.
