We love the Adventure Club series that they offered this year after school at EVES. Learning about CARING has taught him wonderful life lessons. We have signed him up for the Adventure Club Summer Camp as well!
My son loves going to the UTE Springs after school program at Eagle Valley Elem. We love that the program takes our son outdoors to enjoy what the area around the school has to offer for an ever-expanding young mind. He always comes home with a good story or a tale of a great adventure with his fello classmates.
We only wish we had the opportunity to send him more than once a week. He loves it!
We have also signed him up for the summer camps to continue the fun after school ends for the summer.
Ute Springs provides a fantastic program for my 3rd grader combining passion and respect for the outdoor environment with personal responsibility and character development. I cannot recommend the programming enough. Ute Springs lives their mission through the tremendous efforts of a caring and dedicated staff. 5 stars aren't enough!
Ute Springs is an amazing organization. I am a teacher and feel they always have the students best interest in mind. They allow them to be themselves and build character traits that will get them through life. I am also a parent. My children have learned a tremendous amount of life skills and absolutely love Ute Springs programs.
Mountain Valley Horse Rescue's partnership with USELC has been rewarding in so many ways. We are honored to work so closely with such a we'll run, meaningful organization.
Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center has helped support our public school in many capacities. They have helped build and strengthen our school's existing Adventure Program. Ute Springs helps to support adventures and fieldwork throughout grades k-8. They have helped to create sustainable adventures and fieldwork experiences that are meaningful, connected to our curriculum and offer children opportunities that they may never have had. As an educator, I appreciated Ute Springs professionalism and direction in taking care of the logistics for each trip. Ute Springs also helped in the preparation and participation of meaningful initiatives and carefully constructed itineraries. Thank you for all you do!
I cannot say enough good things about Ute Springs ELC. Their motto of CARING is not just "talk..." counselors and staff live and breathe bringing out the best in children. Not only are camps SO much fun (nature, adventure, everything a kid likes ), they have time to reflect, and learn to trust themselves and their peers (everything a parent wishes for their children). My son is a returning camper... when I presented to him the endless amazing camp options for the summer, USELC was his first choice for camp, and then we planned all other activities around those dates. USELC has a very special place in our hearts.
I joined the Board because I was invited to an afternoon at Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center summer adventure camp and witnessed the success of a camp program for elementary school aged children including a child with a disability. The gentle behavior of the children to one another, their attitudes of interest, active participation, kindness and inclusiveness and the skill and guidance provided by the program facilitators with every part of the afternoon were impressive. Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center offers a unique and effective learning environment and programs for creating wonderful, well rounded people using outdoor adventure based learning for kids and adults. Our communities thrive when its citizens have good social and emotional skills and our community and many afar will be enriched by the skills learned from Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center.
I have been honored to be part of this outstanding organization since just a few months after it's founding. The importance of the services provided and the passion of the staff and Board of Directors far exceeds any expectations I had as I joined the team.
All three of my boys have gone to Ute Springs during summer camp and each experience they say is better than the one before and that it is their favorite camp. They are avid athletes, love ice hockey and lacrosse, but, each summer they choose Ute Springs over their Lacrosse camp. To put up their own tipi, cook their own meals, forge their own trails, fish and build lasting relationships with other campers as well as their natural surroundings is priceless. As a mother I appreciate their joy when their week is over.....they always want more!
My daughter was introduced to USELC two years ago. It is by far on the top of her list of camp experiences. Our children have this amazing "backyard" in which to call home where USELC has integrated a program that connects the self to the outdoors in a purposeful compassionate way that is unlike any other available. Thank you Amy and everyone involved with Ute Springs!
Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center is an exemplary organization. The core values of CARING (Compassion, Adventure, Relationships, Integrity, Nature and Giving Back) are mindfully melded into the culture, and are the foundation that inspires kids to tap into their individual talents, gifts and strengths and venture beyond their limiting beliefs to build confidence and reach new heights. The organization's founders, volunteers, and employees exude such passion for developing future leaders and providing them with skills not taught in a typical classroom, yet essential to succeed in life.
What an amazing organization! In just 2 years, USELC has grown from a vision/mission statement to serving nearly 800 children and youth through more than 21,000 contact hours. The organization serves kids between the ages of 7 and 17 and focuses on communication skills, responsibility, service and leadership. Its activities promote "emotional IQ" and social skills which are necessary not only for educational and professional success, but also for positive interpersonal relationships.
