Causes: International, International Human Rights, International Peace & Security
Mission: Utahns for a Just Peace in the Holy Land is a grassroots peace movement focused on educating and mobilizing the public about the importance of and solution to bringing peace between Palestinians and the State of Israel.We stress:1)Recognizing this conflict must be solved in order to protect Israelis, Palestinians and U.S. citizens. Our government should play a major role in solving this conflict by supporting peace minded Israeli factions and by re-dedicating our country to the principles of justice and human rights.2)Recognizing there already exists a solid basis for a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians, that is, international law codified in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and the United Nations.3)Recognizing the reason for much of growing world hostility against the United States has to do with our government's supporting role in continuing Israel's thirty-eight-year occupation of Palestinian lands.
