Utah now boasts over a gigawatt of solar, either built or under construction, thanks to utah clean energy's work in the utility regulatory arena. And our work impacts not only utah, but idaho, oregon, washington, and wyoming making solar cheaper and easier for utah families - utah clean energy partnered with summit and wasatch counties to carry out mountain town community solar. Thanks to this and previous "community solar" programs, utah clean energy has helped over 1,000 utah residents install 5 megawatts of clean solar energy on their homes. Cleaning utah's air with electric vehicles - utah clean energy partnered with state universities and local jurisdictions to offer our "drive electric" program, which increased public awareness about electric vehicles in utah. Thanks to the program, over 230 electric vehicle are now on utah's road, which will reduce air pollution along the wasatch front for years. This program earned the 2016 governor's excellence in energy award. Energy efficiency: use less energy and save money - utah clean energy is working with salt lake city as they become a national leader in energy efficiency for commercial buildings through the project skyline initiative. We also serve on formal energy demand side management (dsm) committees with rocky mountain power and questar gas to help shape programs reduce energy use and improve local air quality through energy efficiency and conservation programs. "energy rating index" for utah homes - utah has adopted an "energy rating index" into our energy conservation code for new homes. The new energy rating index helps homebuyers compare the energy costs of new homes on the market today and purchase a more efficient home, which will save them money for decades on their utility bills. It also helps homebuilders be more competitive in the market. Four corners wind resource center - utah clean energy leads the efforts of the four corners wind resource center, a center designed to facilitate regional wind development by providing the most up-to-date and accurate information to those involved in wind energy decision making processes. The center works to engage, educate, and enlist wind energy stakeholders in the states of arizona, colorado, new mexico, utah, nevada, and wyoming. Utah climate action network - utah clean energy is proud to house the newly launched utah climate action network. The network is fostering diverse conversation, leadership, and coordinated action to ensure a collaborative response to climate change and its impacts in utah. Making the business case for clean energy - through our clean energy business coalition, utah clean energy has built a diverse group of local and national business leaders dedicated to creating cutting-edge clean energy solutions in utah and the west. In 2016, we continued to grow and diversify this group which now includes over 55 members.
