Such a great team of pet lovers working hard to help the dogs from the shelter that have medical issues. Fostering is so fulfilling and UAFW makes it so easy by providing all of the supplies needed to care for the dogs.
Love the fact that Urgent Animals of Fort Worth will use all the resources to help those animals that have health issues and gets them back to good health so others can adopt them later. Give these poor abused puppies a fighting chance.
My family and I fostered for UAFW and it was the best decision! UAFW provided everything that our fur babies needed. The best part of fostering is seeing how the love we provide and the care that the rescue provides really makes a difference in their lives!
Urgent Animals of Fort Worth does amazing work with the animals they rescue. They do anything they can to help animals in need. Whether it’s fundraising money for medical bills to helping their furry friends find their forever homes! They only want the best for them!
This rescue does great work for animals in need! I spent a summer volunteering and absolutely enjoyed it.
I have now fostered twice for UAFW and every time it has been seamless. If we ever need supplies for a pup they make sure to get them to us ASAP. Which makes it easier for us fosters to focus on the pups development. I found there is always someone available to answer questions, and that is especially important when being a first time foster.
This entire rescue is absolutely amazing! They take great strides in trying to save as many animals at possible. They provide anything and everything a foster could possibly need, to allow their foster baby to thrive. They answer all questions and go above and beyond. My first foster baby was saved by the bell, when one of the admin drove all the way to shelter from an adoption event, just make sure we saved him. He got his terrible ears fixed with surgery, and he found his forever home with us. It would’ve never been possible without Urgent Animals of Fort Worth❤️
I had only fostered through the shelter before I found out about this amazing rescue! Being a foster and volunteer for Urgent Animals of Fort Worth has been so rewarding. All the members and admins are all so wonderful and always willing to help out with whatever I needed for a foster or adoption events. You can tell that they have the biggest hearts for these animals and are willing to do whatever it takes to get them into a loving home. My most recent foster with them I was provided with literally everything I need to care for the dog at home. I posted pictures of my last foster Albert. He was adopted recently. Yay!
Highly recommend volunteering with UAFW! Communication is great and animals needs are consistently put first!
This a wonderful group that saves dogs from the shelter and gives them a new life! They make sure the dogs get the best care possible. The directors are always on call to answer questions or provide supplies right away. They are so nice and you can tell how much they truly care! I'm proud to be a part of their team!
When no other rescue including boxer rescues of north Texas would step up to save a 6 year old boxer stuck in the shelter with several lacerations and a broken hip this rescue stepped up and tagged him and said we will find the money somewhere to save him . They are the best and provided food and dishes for him. Is he not the sweetest beast? Proud foster mom.
Today, October 5, 2019 I became an OFFICIAL foster parent to Eddie! Never have I ever done anything like this, I know heart strings are already engaged. Working with Sandy Bentz, and Jennifer Maniac McGee are a JOY to work with. Their hearts are given selflessly to these dogs that people just simply “discard”. So, anyway .... got home last night from eating out and a HUGE box was STUFFED full of and BRAND NEW ITEMS: a very nice kennel, A NEW kennel, NEW kennel pad, a NEW red “blankie “, toys, treats, food, everything a dog could want. Just needed the dog!! Well “the dog” got here to my home TODAY!!! I AM IN LOVE!! I can’t understand people jUSF simply abandoning these babies! And they’re not babies, you know what I mean. I hate it for their kids! Wonder how wanted they must feel? Enough about them tho.... these dogs are sooooooo happy with just the tiniest bit of attention. Eddie and me, it was “love at first sight”... NO joke.
Y’all search your hearts, is there room for a dog that someone was once loved, now has some medical issues and NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING out of your pocket!! A home visit is REQUIRED. A secure, loving, clean home, with room for a furrever baby?? I’m disappointed in me for my 2 week hesitation. I love this dog!!!
I have fostered for the first time with them. Beyond grateful I did. They were so supportive and provided every need that came to mind. If I needed food, I got some, if I needed toys bam there! Ever essential item was brought if needed. I felt like family most of all. I was able to give someone else a wonderfully rehabilitated baby that was restored not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
This awesome group pulls at risk animals and finds fosters for them. I am lucky enough to be the foster for the most loving dog I have ever met! To think this guy wouldn't have a chance without them is just unthinkable! This guy is going to make someone so happy!!
I would like to say how wonderful UAFW is. The time and effort put into saving these furry kids is outstanding! Well done!
I have just started to volunteer with this organization but from what I can tell they are awesome! So dedicated to helping animals most urgently in need...I can’t wait to experience more with this organization!! They are very open to new volunteers (very helpful and quick to respond to questions). Thank you for all that you do for the animals of the DFW area!
I foster for Urgent Animals of Fort Worth and they have been the BEST non-profit to volunteer with in my experience. They work tirelessly to pull animals from the Fort Worth shelter that have medical problems and treat them immediately. Some dogs that they pull sit suffering in the shelter for days to weeks without the proper medical care because of cost. UAFW raises the money to help these animals that might have been put down otherwise. When placing a dog in a foster home, they ensure it is a good match for both the dog and the foster parent and provide all needed expenses from food, medical, crate, bed etc. I cannot say enough good things about UAFW!
They were wonderful! They had taken very good care of my baby before I adopted him and made the whole process very easy. They really care about the animals and finding them their perfect home.
An extremely dedicated team.I wouldnt trust anyone else more. Devoted to what they do, as they try to give the very best life to every single dog they rescue. Many dogs have been saved because of this wonderful group of people!
I am currently fostering for them and it is the most supporting and loving group who truly cares about helping our fur babies
A very caring team of volunteers who work tirelessly to help sick and injured shelter pets. Maintaining a positive professional reputation is very important to the directors. Treating everyone with kindness and respect, and giving animals the best care possible makes Urgent Animals of Fort Worth a great organization to work with, whether you're an adoption applicant, volunteer, or donor.
