Mission: Urban impact ministries is a religious non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the central city of new orleans through spiritual development, christian community development and strategic ministry partnerships.
Programs: Youth -this program is our christian development outreach to the underprivileged youth of our community by providing youth activities that encourage spiritual and social resposibility. This program thrives through participation by youth and counselors in the kaa youth camp, youth night, and other important youth activities. The addition of the new youth center, playground, and related facilities are making a significant difference in the growing success of this program in achieving spiritual and social development in our neigboring youth.
nola fusion summer missions -this program focuses on introducing high school students from around the country to urban ministry, racial reconciliation and god's call to care for the poor and the oppressed. These groups also provide man power for recreational and spiritual programs to our community. We expect to see a record number of high school students involved in this program in the upcoming year.
education -this program has seen significant growth as it meets the needs of our undereducated population. It focuses on moving children from learning to read to being able to read to learn. We are continually seeing significant improvement in reading and math skills in all participants. The number of students have increased in the afterschool program and volunteers for such have been consistent.
