Mission: To provide educational programs of the highest quality emphasizing and maintaining a tradition of excellence in undergraduate studies as well as in professional, graduate, continuing education, and specialized degree granting programs. All educational programs are student-oriented, designed for the intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and personal growth of students.
Programs: The university strove to establish and maintain an excellence in all academic programs. 1,610 students studied 43 different areas of study under the guidance of 115 faculty at the university in 2013-14. 60% of our faculty hold terminal degrees. The university awarded 28 associate degrees, 274 bachelor's degrees and 34 master's degrees in 2013-14. The univesity of mobile exists to change the world through men and women who are prepared academically, developing spiritually and responsible socially. Excellence in teaching and a commitment to the individual success of each student are hallmarks of a university of mobile education. To this end, the university provided on-campus residential housing for 651 students.
the university provided opportunities for students to interact with the economic, cultural, political, and human services sectors of the local and/or international community and encouraged development of a personal commitment to community services in the appropriate region. The university hosted a summer youth camp for 3,419 youth and counselors stressing personal growth and community service.
the university offered curricular and extracurricular activities to encourage student development in physical, intellectual, cultural, social, spiritual, and leadership capacities. This was accomplished through our student government association, campus activities board, 10 academic clubs, 12 honor societies, 3 religious clubs, 3 service clubs, intramural sports and men's and women's sports in 8 different areas. The university has a gymnasium with a seating capacity of 800, an olympic-size swimming pool, a baseball field, softball field, two soccer fields, ten tennis courts, a golf driving range with putting green and intramural fields. Students are exposed to cultural diversity as enrollment included students from 29 states of the united states and 26 different countries.
