Mission: To promote, through education, sexual abstinence until marriage and marital fidelity as healthy lifestyles free from sexually-transmitted diseases including hiv and aids.
Programs: Burundi-the uce burundi program reaches out not only to youth, but couples as well. The team teaches couples to have healthy, faithful marriages and to empower youth with the message of chastity. The team organizes outreaches and hosts radio programs. This year, uce burundi visited 19 schools, reaching 5,318 with the chastity message. Out of the 5,318 who heard the message, 4,223 youth signed chastity cards. 726 married men and women were also reached, out of which 548 signed marital fidelity cards. Around 2,000,000 people have listened to uce message of chastity through star fm radio twice/week. 2,648 booklets were distributed and 12 new uce clubs were established.
uganda kasese- the uce kasese program holds outreaches, seminars, and establishes uce clubs to prevent hiv/aids through chastity. The team also uses radio to disseminate the uce message. Outreaches offer an opportunity for youth to accept christ and to learn how to apply biblical foundations and principles to their lives. This year there were 54 outreaches total, 46 outreaches to youth, 8 outreaches to married couples. Additionally there were two conferences for youth, one seminar for youth, 3 uce club conferences, and one training of youth pastoral agents. This year a total of 4,721 youth committed to chastity by signing chastity pledges until faithful marriage. 642 married individuals signed fidelity pledges. Uganda masaka-the uce masaka program was started in january 2017. Its vibrant program holds outreaches, seminars, and establishes uce clubs to prevent hiv/aids through chastity. Outreaches offer an opportunity for youth to accept christ and to learn how to apply biblical foundations and principles to their lives. This year there were 62 outreaches, including 58 outreaches reaching youth in schools/churches, 1 outreach to married people, and 3 uce workshops with a grand total of 9,838 youth signing chastity pledges
the uce tanzania program hold outreaches, seminars, and establishes uce clubs to prevent hiv/aids through chastity. Uce outreaches are open and interactive events when the team gives testimony, medical facts, and scriptural support for chastity before q&a session. Uce clubs provide message reinforcement for uce; there are 20 active uce clubs. Uce conducted 105 outreaches, and 3 easter conferences that were fruitful. This year 35,544 youth were reached, of which 26,870 youth signed chastity pledge cards. Additionally 200+ youth received counseling and positive behavior changes were reported.
