The United Way of Washington is such a wonderful nonprofit organization. This is the second year in a row they have provided backpacks with hygiene supplies for our homeless students. The products are all top quality and the backpacks are so well received . Parents of those students thank us for the assistance and that no questions asked to the students- the bags are just provided with kindness.
United Way of Washington County is a great resource for our community! The individuals who volunteer and work with them are always looking for new ways to help those who are in need.
I have volunteered at multiple community events with this nonprofit, and in all events, they are the most caring and motivated organization to help our community and those in it. Everything is always well-planned and coordinated, and I can truly say they always have what is best for the community in mind!
I've been donating to the United Way of Washington County for over 20 years. I like their process of the Community Impact Panels and reviewing every grant application thoroughly. Having community members who live and work here and understand our community, lets me know that my donation to the Community Impact Fund is making the most impact for our community.

United Way of Washington County held a Power of the Purse event where we made hygiene kits for local youth in need. It was eye-opening to learn about the needs of our community and how United Way of Washington County works to meet those needs. It felt great to give back by attending the event and also knowing I contributed to helping children in need.

United Way of Washington County is always generous and giving both of their time and resources to aid our Marianna area in multiple ways! First of all they have assisted me with applying for Grants by EFSP with finding out requirements and explaining them in a way easily understood. They have offered educational services to help individuals and or businesses. But mostly they try and help Communities in need with resources available!

The United Way of Washington County supports the efforts of local nonprofits by serving as the host of the annual LIVE UNITED Day of Service. This annual event brings together volunteers and matches them with local nonprofits’ volunteer projects. As a board member, I have lead a team of volunteers in each of the last two years. The experiences we had forged lasting relationships within our team and with the local organizations that we completed projects for. I'm so happy to have these experiences, to share them, and to encourage others to lend a hand - helping our community in seemingly small ways makes a big impact.
I was honored to serve as a Community Impact Fund Panelist this year. Recognition to the United Way of Washington County for bringing together over 40 community volunteers to serve on the panel to review grant applications and make recommendations for funding.

UW of Washington Co. demonstrates great care in the use of donor funds. They spend time evaluating the needs of the community and ability of the agencies requesting money to meet those needs. The online auction this year was great and easy to use as well.

The United Way of Washington County does an outstanding job of supporting local agencies in their efforts to provide services in the community . During COVID shut downs they provided safety equipment like free gloves and masks for our employees and also regularly connects us to volunteers.

I became a volunteer for UW many years ago. I planned to volunteer for 1 event & that was all. My 1st event was their golf outing. After seeing first hand what they do for the community & how dedicated & wonderful the staff is, I have volunteered now for over 16 years! The staff really love their jobs & they make such a difference in our community. They are so kind to the volunteers. It's great to be a part of this wonderful organization!
Working as an Intern at UWWC in Summer of 2021 has helped me gain a better understanding and appreciation for the work that nonprofits do for our communities, United Way specifically. Everything was always very well organized and all tasks where completed ahead of schedule due to the impeccable planning and leadership of our board and employees. UWWC has been a staple in Washington County for decades and the effort and assistance given from volunteers in the community through their programs will make a huge differences for a multitude of families in Washington County.

The United Way of Washington County has been an integral part of the community for almost a century. I have been involved with United Way for almost a quarter century as a contributor, panel member, board member, Chairman and now Past Chairman. I have witnessed first hand how the generous contributions of our supporters have united people, resources and organizations and ultimately improve the lives of those in need in Washington County.
Sometimes, a person will join an organization just because they are asked. \u00A0When I became a board member of the United Way of Washington County, I realized the impact they made on peoples' lives in our area. Grom helping beautify the play area at the LeMoyne Center for the kids to helping the residents who were displaced by a fire in Canonsburg, when anyone is in need, the agencies supported by the UW OF WC are ready to help.
