211 Los Angeles aka United Way, exposed me to sex trafficking. I called 211 Los Angeles for the augmented winter shelter program. They sent me to the Casa Bell motel in Inglewood, California and the hotel manager said he had no idea what I was talking about. Then they sent me to the Studio 6 located at 525 S. Harbor Blvd in San Pedro. I was in room 108 and the hotel manager sends multiple men to my room. I didn't answer the door. The next day the motel owner tells 211 Los Angeles that I cancelled my room. I was left without a place to stay. Please donate to cash app ID $MyCatSheena

I've been a United Way donor for three years now through my workplace. Every year I pledge to support United Way, and then a portion of my paycheck goes to my local United Way, United Way of the National Capital Area. I know that my gift is going toward the greatest needs in my community, of which i know there are many. It makes me feel great because I know how much it matters. I've also had the opportunity to give my time through volunteering in the community, both through United Way and some of the several shelters and community centers that they invest in like Thrive DC and Martha's Table. I love that I'm able to spend time volunteering and get to know the people that are touched by my donation. In a world that can feel divisive at times, giving through United Way reminds me that we're so much more connected to one another and that when we give back, we get so much more in return.
