Being a new executive director brings on a whole host of challenges. There was so much to learn, but I knew that my education/learning curve needed to come in a manner that made the change in leadership look like smooth sailing to the people we serve. I am so grateful to the United Way of Siouxland for helping me get my sea legs in this new position. They were more than patient and accommodating when I asked the same questions twice, when I asked again for the resources they already provided, and most importantly, when I made mistakes that could have been so much worse if not for their help and understanding. The United Way of Siouxland provides/shares resources, organizes/hosts important and helpful events, and is always there to help in any way they can. It doesn't matter who you call in the office, they will all do what they can to help and guide. When I look across our community, I see all the opportunity they make possible. When I look back at my first year in this role, I see how important their help and patience was to me and the people we serve. Looking forward to the coming year! Thank you United Way of Siouxland.

United Way of Siouxland has been a fantastic community partner of the Boy Scouts of America, Mid-America Council. Because of their mission driven work, we are able to impact over 400 at-risk boys via our Outreach Cub Scout programs.
