Mission: The united way of north essex focuses on what matters most to the communities they serve; developing innovative, targeted programs to address the causes of community issues: why problems exist. As such, their united way supported programs are not just stop gap measures, but ultimately preventative ones that effect powerful and lasting change. To that end, their agency is actively involved in targeted goals and objectives. A. To assess, on a continuing basis, the need for human service programs; to seek solutions to human problems; to assist in the development of new or the expansion or modification of existing human service programs; to promote preventive activities, and foster coordination among local non-profit agencies serving the north essex area. B. To develop as fully as possible the financial and voluntary resources needed to meet the human service needs of the north essex area. C. To deploy financial support so as to maximize the resources available to non-profit agencies
Programs: Community impact:worked with community volunteers and groups throughout the north essex area to assess the critical social issues impacting our communities and continued the process of building coalitions of concerned citizens and organizations around identified needs.
