It is aligning community investors, nonprofit agencies, schools, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, businesses and government to achieve four measurable goals by 2025-goals that will improve the education, financial stability and health of individuals and families across lancaster county.

financial stability:by 2025, united way is working to move out of poverty 50% of the lancaster county families now struggling to make ends meet. To achieve this bold community impact, it is partnering with government, nonprofit agencies, businesses, schools, community investors and volunteers to break down barriers and ensure everyone in this community has the education, good health and support they need to succeed. In addition by providing free tax preparation, the volunteer income tax assistance program (vita) helps to increase the financial stability of lower-income taxpayers in lancaster county.

education:united way is working with the community to ensure that every child enters kindergarten ready to learn and every adult has the credentials required to hold a well-paying job. By bringing together all who share this common goal-parents, child care providers, schools, nonprofit agencies, libraries, businesses, community investors and government, along with healthcare providers and faith-based organizations-these bold goals can be achieved by 2025.
