Mission: Mission- mobilizing our community to improve lives. Vision- united way will add value to the greater lafayette community by enabling people to help one another. It will provide leadership in defining community needs and in coordinating resources to address community issues. Our goal- every person succeeding in greater lafayette the united way of greater lafayette leads the community to empower every person to discover and pursue their path to success. We do this by aligning resources along the cradle to career continuum. We bring people, organizations and community resources together to deliver results in the areas of education, financial stability, and health. Through the cradle to career continuum, we want to ensure that quality pre-natal care is available to expecting mothers, that children receive quality early learning (including preschool and pre-k) opportunities and that they are prepared to start school. Target demographics: everyone in Greater Lafayette find their path to success
Direct beneficiaries per year: 1500+ households file free tax returns, 250 children to be prepared for Kindergarten, 3000+ students have access to literacy supports
Geographic areas served: Tippecanoe, Carroll, Benton & Montgomery Counties
Programs: United Way of Greater Lafayette works to create positive changes in our community to make Greater Lafayette an even better place to call home. We want our local children to enter school ready to learn so they can graduate from high school, pursue a degree in college or obtain skilled job training, maintain stable, healthy lives at home, and become engaged, productive members of our community who help us continue creating success for others. We cannot do this work alone, and our mission, Mobilizing our community to improve lives, reflects this. In other words, at United Way of Greater Lafayette, we bring people, organizations and resources together to deliver results that meet the needs of people in Greater Lafayette to create the conditions necessary for success.
