Programs: Allocations and community impact - we utilize local experts to identify pressing needs and best practices in the areas of education, income and health. Panels of trained volunteers then review applicable programs to allocate dollars based on effectiveness and efficiency. 90. 51% of this program's expenses were allocated to agencies and programs in 2016. Finally, these programs are tracked throughout their three-year funding cycle to ensure ongoing success in achieving desired outcomes. Additional activities include: train funded agency staff to identify and measure program outcomes; participate with community-wide planning groups to coordinate impact; promote advocacy of education, income and health issues; and recruit and train volunteers to support program activities. United way's participation in erie together, the regions anti-poverty initiative, also falls under the community impact program.
