I have nothing but wonderful things to say about United Way Broward. I have been involved in a few of their volunteer opportunities. Long term commitment (several years following and mentoring a single student) TSIC- Take Stock In Children, mentoring high school students, and (one year commitment 25 weeks) Reading Pals - mentoring and reading with grade 1 and 2 students. I adore the youngsters who work so hard and want to succeed. I also volunteered with HandsOn Painting at Ann Storck Center a one day activity. I really appreciated the fresh air and the physical exercise and immediate results of helping to paint the homes of adults in need.
Also, I love meeting and sharing with other volunteers.
