Mission: The United Way of Alamance County, as an organization of donors and volunteers, exists to support the community in addressing its human service needs. We strive to identify those needs, to educate and involve the community, and to acquire, organize, and allocate funds for the benefit of those with insufficient resources in a manner that ensures accountability and maximum effectiveness.
Target demographics: We target all ages and demographics in Alamance County, North Carolina, and focus on four issue areas; nurturing youth, supporting the elderly, strengthening families and meeting basic needs.
Geographic areas served: Alamance County, North Carolina
Programs: Participate in a county-wide Needs Assessment, choose most pressing concerns of Alamance County, and raise funds for 36 agencies that help meet those concerns (List of agencies available upon request).
