DONOR BEWARE! I consider this organization untrustworthy, at least in the way it deals with donors.
Almost all my interactions with this organization have been by email, and all my comments and claims can be substantiated. On 12/12/13 I donated 10K (with an additional 1K employer match) to help the Ukrainian activists on Maidan who were fighting for democracy; they were being severely beaten and gassed, and their health and lives were in danger. I requested that part of my donation be for the purchase of head protective gear and gas masks.
During December 2013 and January 2014, I brought up with them by email that I wished my donation to be anonymous, but with an in memoriam dedication; when their donor list was to be published, I asked that I be copied, since I had made this donation to memorialize a loved one. I repeated this request five times, and not once was I told that this was not possible. Furthermore, their website does not mention that publication of donor lists is not policy, and to date I do not know if it is or it isn't.
UUARC had written me that my donation was "guaranteed to proceed as (donor had) outlined". By their own written admission they did not purchase head-protective gear nor gas masks with my donation. In late January and on February 18 and 20, 2014, over 100 Ukrainian activists were killed. Every time I am reminded of this, I cannot help but think if at least one life could have been saved had my request for the purchase of protective gear been honored. I hold UUARC personally responsible for at least some of these deaths!
I have attempted to address my grievances with UUARC directly and privately. They have ignored me. In fact, when I wrote similar comments on their Facebook post in early April 2014, they promptly removed my comment and any opportunity to post a comment! There is NO TRANSPARENCY OR ACCOUNTABILITY in this organization. If UUARC is so unforthcoming with a generous donor, who is to say how they are really spending donor money? I asked for third party verification of donations received, and never heard from them.

Programs: Contributions to indigent individuals, families, orphans, and elderly to purchase food, clothing and shelter. Publication and distribution of books. The organization continually supports various programs on a daily basis. Some programs are, soup kitchens, camps for disadvantaged children and sponsors will adopt a grandparent (needy elderly person). Also, the organization contributes to childrens orphanges monthly.
