We had a very bad experience with this organization. Be careful that they just want money because you have to pay an amount of money before class starts, and no refund!!! No exchange the class even my child is very sad and no fun at all!!!

After signing my daughter up for a workshop (2 volleyball practices during a single week), out of nowhere it was sprung onto us at the workshop that the coach expects each player to wear a mask during the vigorous exercise that is the training. We had already also paid the $550 for the Advanced Juniors program and we learned that the coach running the workshop will also be the coach for this Advanced Junior program. This is being demanded despite being held in a large, well-ventilated indoor facility that is shared with other teams who are all unmasked as there are also no current government mandates in effect given that it's August of 2022. Masking is already a highly contentious political and debatable topic given what we've learned about the lack of efficacy in cloth and surgical mask use combined with the known harms of masking children, particularly during exercise. There is also 0 mention of this masking possibility anywhere on the USYVL website. In order to avoid a problem, I demanded my $550 dollars back, since I was within their very strict time frame in order to receive a refund. They did issue a refund, but made it very clear that this was only because I was within the allowed time frame (their potential fraud was of no consequence). Their caviler attitude towards the harm that can be done to children when masking them, especially during vigorous exercise, is absolutely disgusting, and their lack of informed parental consent to their support and facilitation of this should be looked at from a legal standpoint.

From the moment I met Veronica Sanchez I knew this organization was not only legit but offered something I couldn’t find anywhere else ( in my search across the country for informed engaged and friendly advice on growing our youth summer Vb camp).
Thanks to USYVL and in particular Veronica Sanchez we have a thriving and growing summer beach Vb program now in its ninth year and I continue to consult with them for advice and support.
You can feel confident in speaking w USYVL that they truly practice what they preach as their goal. Making Vb available to kids of all ages. (What a beautiful goal) You will find committed,
friendly and knowledgeable professionals who love the game and whose passion for growing the game at all levels is just awesome. No pressure, no gimmicks no long term commitments - uniquely friendly and so helpful at every level: coaching planning recruiting, scheduling, sourcing goods and facilities - you name it they can and do have the answers
Do yourself, your coaches and most importantly your kids a favor by leaning in to USYVL for help and assistance in growing your Vb program

am so disappointed in this league! I have volunteered for years with both my sons for spring grass league in this “non-profit”. Well we took the leap $550 and signed up for advanced juniors in Simi Valley! Season postponed due to COVID.

Well due to my son’s Auto Immune disease he is high risk. We provided a Dr. note stating he is high risk and the fact he could not return to any recreational activities and they still refused a refund.

I finally tried to do a charge back on my credit card and they even took the time to fight the charge back. I am completely and utterly disgusted by this “non-profit” Which by definition means they are supposed to look out for others.
