Mission: The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Pittsburgh Battalion (USNSCC-PGH) is for young people between the ages of 10 through 17, who have or desire ambition, self-discipline, and a strong academic background. Our core structure is built around America's four sea services and our nation's long maritime tradition. USNSCC-PGH training provides Pennsylvanian youth with a solid foundation for building academic and social skills, teamwork, and critical thinking. Our unit's combined knowledge includes various academic, professional, and military disciplines.

The Pittsburgh Sea Cadets provide a great opportunity for my 13 year old daughter. She is naturally shy but the cadets and staff immediately made her part of the team. She has learned a lot and looks forward to the monthly activities.
