This unique one of a kind non profit called United States Marshals Posse is now approaching 35 Years of Community service helping support Law enforcement families and equally important being a representative and go between performing outreaches to younger impressional kids by co hosting shop with the cops, holiday parties, school supply donations to most at risk areas in the Phoenix Community. It is presently the only charitable organization linked to and in support of the District of Arizona (United States Marshals Service U.S. federal law enforcement agency celebrating 235 Year Anniversary this Year.
This Honor bestowed upon USMP and its very existence is a direct result of newly retired head of the US Marshal Service, District of Arizona Mr David P Gonzales.
He worked tirelessly to get the approval from Washington and to this day there are a few States still trying to form but to this date it remains the only one in the United States. Thank you Mr Gonzales you have changed many Families lives for the better through this great charity you enabled.
We ride in Parades around the State beside local law enforcement officers also on Horseback.
We attend Fallen Law Enforcement Funerals to Honor their Families left behind and we fund Scholarships and apprentice programs for entry level first responder.
We are constantly looking for new ways to outreach to younger future generations to show Law and Order careers is a great choice in life.
To sum it up please visit USMPOSSE.ORG for great pictures stories and a further introduction.

The US Marshals Posse engages in many community events all of which are well received. Probably one of the most visible events is Shop With A Cop which exemplifies the true heart of the organization. This event pairs law enforcement and military volunteers with children from needy/disadvantaged families or children from families with severe hard ships. The volunteers then escort the children on a Christmas shopping spree at local venues. I have had the distinct honor of participating in this event over a dozen times and the joy on the children’s faces cannot be overstated. I recall one of many comments from the children—“Sir, this has been the best day of my life.” During the 2023 program, over 800 children experienced the true generosity of the holiday season with 27 agencies participating. The program continues to grow.

The U.S. Marshals Posse is a fantastic group that really brings the community together while celebrating the history of the U.S. Marshals. They step in to help fallen officers
families financially before insurance kicks in. You’ll see them in local parades like Scottsdale’s Parada del Sol and supporting events like the Special Olympics Torch Run, always making a positive impact.

They also give back in big ways, from their charity golf tournament to programs like "Shop with a Cop" and handing out backpacks to kids. It’s clear they care deeply about helping others and keeping the spirit of the U.S. Marshals alive for future generations.

I am new to this organization and came across the USMP a few years ago while working in a LEO position. When I saw how they presented themselves at Shop with a Cop, The Phoenix Veterans parade and various other engagements, I knew I had to find out more. The dedication of this group to help not only the USMS but to better represent to the Arizona community Law Enforcement from a helping hand in a very positive approach was outstanding. This year I hope, now as a sworn member, to help carry on the great works of the USMP.

United States Marshals Posse (Posse) is an Arizona-based community charitable organization. The Posse exists to support the United States Marshals Service, District of Arizona (USMS) - the longest serving U.S. federal law enforcement agency, established in 1789 under President George Washington. Posse members in full uniform annually ride a stable of horses in community parades, and attend and participate in active law enforcement events to support and raise the profile of the USMS.

The most impactful service provided by the Posse is its engagement with the children in the community through its financial support of a local high school centered on careers in first responder professions (law enforcement, fire fighter, EMT), participation during the Christmas holiday in the Shop-with-a-Cop program where Posse members and active law enforcement officials are paired with under-privileged children to shop for gifts at local retail stores -- building trust between law enforcement and future productive members of society, and the annual Christmas party the Posse hosts for children in an inner city neighborhood. Seeing the faces of these kids light up is priceless - makes the work of the Posse fulfilling! -- Barry Wong, U.S. Marshals Posse, Board Member

We support the men and women who protect us from harm. The US Marshals protect our Federal Judiciary, apprehend dangerous fugitives... and so much more. The Posse helps promote the good work of the US Marshals with community outreach events and other activities such as supporting the Franklin Police and Fire High School in Phoenix, a unique small specialty school focused on public safety careers. It has been rewarding to be a part of this outstanding group of volunteers.

The United States Marshals Posse is a remarkable organization made up of committed volunteers who share a deep passion for supporting law enforcement, serving their community, and making a positive impact on the lives of young people. With members coming from diverse backgrounds, they all share a common purpose: to enhance public safety and create opportunities for youth development. This dedication extends to the very core of their operations.

The first program I joined with the Posse was called "Shop with a Cop." It’s an incredible initiative during the holiday season that we sponsor where children from disadvantaged backgrounds shop with LEOs and Posses. My first experience was truly inspiring – the two children I shopped with weren't focused on themselves or being greedy; instead, they thought of others. It was a powerful reminder that even in difficult circumstances, these young people are a shining beacon of hope and the promise of a bright future.

All administrative work is carried out by volunteers, allowing the Posse to maintain an efficient and cost-effective structure. This means that every dollar donated is maximized, going directly to fund critical programs that make a tangible difference in the community. Whether it's supporting law enforcement activities, fostering community engagement, or providing resources and mentorship to young people, the United States Marshals Posse operates with a mission-driven mindset, ensuring that their volunteer spirit translates into meaningful, direct support for the programs they champion.

The USMP for the District of Arizona is an amazing organization of volunteers focused on supporting members of the United States Marshal Service, promoting goodwill with the public and giving back to the community that supports first responders. In addition, we have been a strong supporter of the Franklin Police & Fire High School with the donation of new computers for their computer lab along with the removal and replacement of their obstacle course.

As a 35-year veteran of our Armed Forces, I have borne witness to and participated at various points during that career in different organizations whose existence was, to provide for various efforts to help other people via donations of clothing, food, financial assistance, or physical effort. In all that time, I have never seen an organization as determined as the US Marshals Posse to not only provide for a positive image of the Marshal's Service but to do so selfishly and with such devotion. The members are constantly active and determined to help the local communities by donating to select programs that will provide for a positive result and better overall end state within the local community.

Volunteering as a member of the Posse is amazing!
1) SHOP WITH A COP- incredible taking underprivileged kids Christmas shopping so they can choose their own gifts and give gifts to their family is amazing every year! There's nothing like "being Santa" to kids!
2) MOUNTED PARADE UNIT - riding horseback in parade uniform representing the brave men & women of our U.S. Marshals Service is just amazing and incredibly fun!
3) Getting to know our U.S. Marshal and hearing stories direct from Deputy Marshals and other law enforcement leadership at our dinners and charity golf tourney events is such an interesting privilege.
