Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The united states agricultural information network is an organization for information professionals that provides a forum for discussion of agricultural issues, takes a leadership role in the formation of national information policy as related to agriculture, makes recommendations to the national agricultural library on agricultural information matters, and promotes cooperation and communication among its members.
Programs: Usain members have the opportunities to the following: 1. Participate in conferences dealing with emerging issues and these that affect agricultural info professionals. 2. Discuss agricultural information issues with other professionals at meetings held twice yearly. 3. Network with other agricultural info professionals through usain committees, interest groups, and/or the usain listserv. 4. Provide input on legislation affecting the national agricultural library & the nation's agricultural community. 5. Receive a directory of members, distributed and updated annually.
