My name is Michelle and I began volunteering for United Nations of Consciousness over this past summer. I have always had a passion for giving back to my community and with over 15 years of experience in the non profit sector, I have to say this is my first time that I have came across a genuinely engaged and supportive organization whom helps to empower and unify the African American community especially those of low-income backgrounds. I am so grateful to be apart of an organization to be planted right in the center of an undeserved community that provides support like academic mentors and a safe space for our youth of all ages because our youth counts on us. When I volunteer I see my efforts making a difference by directly reaching out to the community members and being able to help find resources for them by being apart of United Nations of Consciousness.
