United Military Care has afforded me an opportunity to meet, work and help other contemporary veterans. As a Vietnam veteran it has also help me talk about subjects that I hadn't discussed in previous years. It has been very gratifying and rewarding to be able to help other veterans with personal assistance or direction for them to receive the proper guidance.
I am the Commander of a Combat Vets Association chapter in NW Georgia. We have worked hand in hand with UMC for several years. I have see first hand the good work they do to help veterans in need. We have partnered with them on several occasions providing meals, yard work and companionship for elderly and disabled veterans. We look to UMC for their guidance and experience in vetting the requests that we receive for assistance. In my experience, UMC puts Veterans First and they go the extra mile to help Veterans.
They are committed to Veterans and their families in all they do. We appreciate all United Military Care does for those who serve. America has forgotten so many of our Warriors. Thank you for serving.

United Military Care does a great job supporting veterans and active duty personnel and dependent. Thru my time as a volunteer, I have become friends with a house-bound veteran.
We have a great bond and trusts me to be with him at all doctor visits. We enjoy talking about working will all kinds of tools and fixing cars. It is my honor to help him.
Kim Scofi – Congressional Medal of Honor recipient
Salute to the Veterans!
Kim Scofi is one of those ordinary people that do extraordinary things! Kim always wants to do what’s right especially when it comes to taking care of America’s active duty and retired veterans. Since she founded United Military Care, she has raised the standards of care for Georgias veterans through one-on-one assistance, education, partnership, collaboration, and community engagement.
To us at Sweetwater Mission, Kim is more than a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, she’s a friend and a part of our SWM family. She is always passionate about everything she does. Kim has a deep love of country, with actions that go above and beyond. We salute Kim for having a compassionate heart of serving others especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the liberties we enjoy here in America.
UMC provides a much needed service for veterans in my area in GA. They help provide support for veterans through veterans fairs, a Battle Buddy program, and an emergency response program, which can provide emergency food, clothing, shelter, etc. to veterans in need. They work tirelessly to ensure that veterans have access to the necessary resources to survive. I cannot say enough good about Kim, Peggy, and their organization, and what outstandingly positive things they do for our community.
Kim Scofi and Peggy Beascoechea is by far one of the best non-profit's I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They go above and beyond for the Community. Both have won numerous well deserved awards for helping our Veterans. I am proud to know them and often refer people to them for help.
UMC is an amazing organization! You should see their We Care Fair! It will blow your mind. They bring together every possible agency from the community who serves Veterans and offers services to make their life easier. I was amazed in the past, but this year they multiplied themselves in multiple settings. The attendees for these events are blown away and feel valued and helped. UMC tries to meet every need that is presented to them and is very creative in their problem-solving approach. They have the patience of Job and wrote the book on resourcefulness. They are kind and compassionate and make a careful use of their resources. I love to serve with them! It gives me an opportunity to pay these invaluable USA Veterans back for their service to my country in a way that is helpful, meaningful and serviceable. I don't know how they do all they do. They are growing their service area and I am so blessed to be a part of it. God bless the UMC and continue to help them to thrive as they serve our USA Veterans.

Our chapter, Kennesaw Mountain, NSDAR, has volunteered with United Military Care. When we have talked just a little with Kimberly and Peggy, we have become overwhelmed by the scope and efficiency of this organization. There is no limit to what they will try to do to help veterans. They have built a network of cooperative resources. They have employed creative approaches to gender a sense of inclusion. They are able to attract dedicated volunteers because their program is phenomenal and really gets the help to those that need it. I cannot think of a more worthy organization!
United Military Care has a passion for helping veterans and their families - whether it's helping with food, housing, VA issues or just a listening ear; UMC staff is patient understanding and helpful. Not only do they assist veterans in need; they provide an avenue for the community to give back through donating items and then packing backpacks for homeless veterans. Kim's knowledge and heart make it an honor to volunteer with UMC.

Being the child of a career military father, I understand first hand the needs of families who have a deployed parent. I am proud to have the opportunity to volunteer at United Military Care. Every one involved has a passion for helping veterans. Daily activities may bring a veteran who can't afford to buy shoes for his four kids. UMC provides those shoes. A female veteran may need help with food, so gift cards are given. A Veteran with a disabled child is living in a negative environment. A volunteer spends hours on the phone listening to issues and then researches how to get the family into a place of their own and help for the child. Some of my favorite memories are the smiles and sometimes tears of joy when UMC provides an opportunity to "shop" for Christmas toys to make their children feel loved when Santa comes to visit Christmas morning. United Military Care is a caring group of volunteers who make things happen for military families and veterans in need.
Incredible group with hard working and caring leaders. I have worked with them the past two years and the amount of good they do for the community and veterans is unmatched. 100% recommend them in every avenue.
Kim & Peggy work tirelessly in support of our Veterans. I stand amazed at the length of effort they are willing to go to ensure that every Veteran is served to the fullest extent possible.
United Military Care has always been there when I have personally taken the duties as an unofficial caretaker of disabled veterans. I can always depend on this organization to assist those deserving veterans a helping hand. I especially commend the entire staff who make it their duty in serving our veterans.not only in providing items in nedd but sponsoring events that support each and one of us.

There are many stories to tell but this is one I have selected. A 92-year-old veteran living by himself was reported as not having proper medical care due to his lack of knowledge of VA services and means of transportation. When United Military Care was notified they immediately notified me, a retired U.S. Army Officer, and I took action asap. Although the veteran passed, it was the actions of United Military Care that provided this veteran the satisfaction that he was a hero to all of us.
Wonderful and Dedicated and Hard-working Staff at the UMC-United Military Care. They help Veterans in need of Shelter, Food Insecurity, and necessary househould items. I am proud to know Kim, Leenie, and PeggyB and their staff and volunteers. They are all very kind, compassionate, and professional. PLEASE visit their website and consider DONATION and/or VOLUNTEERING to help their Non-Profit programs.

Peggy with United Military Care Inc. is the best. She and the rest of the staff truly have a heart for veterans Whenever I call United Military Care she responds immediately. They go above and beyond for our veterans. They help to supply basic necessities, such as food and clothing, finding shelter or a job they leave no task undone. United Military Care provides all the essentials for Thanksgiving meals, toys for Christmas and food/clothing for homeless veterans. They help with the incarcerated veterans you name it they do it. I don’t care what day, what time or what hour I call Peggy always delivers and with a smile. They are truly great people and have a love for veterans that can’t be compared. I can’t thank them enough for all that they do for the homeless veterans I work with A big .KUDOS to the entire organization.
This organization is a blessing! With so many of our nations heroes going underserved and forgotten, they help to bridge the gap. The valuable resources and services they provide such as care packages, thanksgiving baskets, clothing, small appliances, and more are a blessing. We appreciate all that you do for the community you serve.
This is an amazing Veterans support organization started by women who served and ones whose spouses did. They focus on Veterans all over the state of Georgia. Their services include providing food and clothing for Veterans and their families as well as for families whose spouses are serving our country overseas. They also seek out homeless Veterans and find them shelter at Veteran housing facilities and make sure they are receiving VA healthcare as well as all the benefits they are entitled to having served our great country. A minimal amount of what they take in goes to administrative fees. The vast majority goes to assisting our Veterans. I have been a supporter of United Military Care for over ten years and I can tell you there is no greater organization to contribute to that helps our great Veterans. God bless the UMC Team!

As a Veteran here in Cobb County, I serve on many boards and support committees in service of our brother and sister. I see the work that is being done by so many. I personnally have worked with United Military Care for years. What an amazing group of dedicated people. They are always there to serve our Veteran community. They always find a way to get the services that a Veterans needs, even a hug. God bless this orginazation for what they do. They serve from the heart. Thank you for your serice. Hooah!
I work for Veteran Connection of Cobb County Senior Services. When we have Veterans in need we connect them with United Military Care Inc.. The ladies are “our go to team”. We have never had a complaint. When they meet a Veteran they first make them feel valued. UMC’s catalog of support, housing, food pantry, clothing pantry, backpack, medical support and military records just to name a few. I am proud to say they are my friends! Semper Fi MSGT USMC RET
Having volunteered for various tasks at United Military Care, I believe the things that stand out the most to me are the patience of the staff (2 folks with various unpaid helpers), the determination to provide assistance with the varied requests they receive, and the concern they display for all. It's somewhat amazing to see what is accomplished in reacting to the miscellaneous needs of veterans with which they are faced. If what's needed isn't within the actual scope that United Military Care does, they are always ready to suggest where help might be found, not just answering that it's not their thing. Amazing assistance provided to the veterans' community with minimal resources!!
The women who founded and run this organization know how to get things done and do it with smarts, respect, grace and kindness.
I am the Veteran Outreach Program Leader for Cobb County and in that role I see many Veterans and Veteran families that need assistance and help. United Military Care is the first Place to go for real help. The people of United Military Care work tirelessly to help Veterans. There are numerous non-profits and other organizations that claim to offer the resources needed for Veterans, but United Military Care delivers. They are the organization that all others go to for advice and action. United Military Care is the best Veteran Charity in Georgia!

United Military Care responds to a request for help immediately. Linda, a Vietnam Era Veteran, has Parkinson's Disease , is in a wheel chair, has no car, very little income and needs transportation to Dr. appointment. After asking several people & organizations for a ride, with no results, she had to cancel her appointment. I contacted United Military Care with Linda's information and within 4 hours, United Military Care called to help Linda. This is only one of many incidences where they immediately start working to help a Veteran. They are the only one in Marietta that responds so quickly and works so hard to help Veterans. They help the first time and continue to be engaged with the Veteran with a plan for their future. Kim Scofi & Peggy Beascoechea are the most dedicated and work so diligently in their work with Veterans.
We, Debbie Ginocchio and Pat Soden of Sweetwater Mission met United Military Care about two years ago at Cobb’s National Night Out. From the moment we met Kim and Peggy we immediately knew just how dedicated and sincere they are about their Mission of helping Military personnel and their families. We invited them for a tour of Sweetwater Mission and the opportunity to share with them our Mission and how we are on the “same page”. A really Perfect Fit to grow their program and ours.
The meeting was amazing! We felt like we’d known Kim and Peggy forever. We talked, we strategized, we laughed and we cried. What genuine people. They are amazing and a perfect fit for us to join them in helping Military folks.
With Everything we are doing, we wanted to make sure that we were able to help the military folks but through the right organization. Kim and Peggy, are truly honest and they would both give the shirt off their backs. We are truly behind them 100% for any of their needs.
Kim & Peggy, Thank you both for your true dedication to the community and the care and support you have for the Military folks. We Love you.

I work with 2 of the Directors and they are VERY knowledgeable and professional. The UMC helps Veterans in so many ways, including distribution of needed items, finding shelter for the homeless, and working with veterans to help obtain benefits and services. They even help me understand how to coordinate programs and events with other Veteran organizations. Their office is a haven for many of the veterans needing guidance. I hear about how volunteers and funding is generously shared with those in need. I am very impressed with their nonprofit organization and how proficient and dedicated the staff members truly are.
United Military Care is an amazing organization. No other organization does more for our homeless veterans than them. whether helping to supply basic necessities, such as food and clothings, or finding a person shelter or a job, they are there!
Awesome Nonprofit!!! Provided an endless supply of information and resources for military veterans and their families. Also provided mentor ship for Veteran own business owners looking To bridge the gap between military and civilian communities alike.
This fine organization serves veterans of all ages, life-stages, and situational needs consistently with excellence! It is an honor for me as a Vietnam Veteran to serve our veterans through this great organization.
Marine Corps League Detachment 647 is proud to provide financial support United Military Care though their holiday food drive. We participate in a number of their events. We also refer military and veterans seeking assistance to UMC when the assistance request exceeds or is outside our detachment's capability We know from experience that UMC will respond quickly and effectively to render assistance. The UMC team works hard to meet the needs of those needing assistance.
I have had the opportunity to work with United Military Care's Homeless Female Veteran assistance. They are an amazing group to work with and provide excellent services to our veterans.
United Military Care is small but they do big things to help our veterans especially those finding themselves homeless. They provide essential toiletries, food, and clothing. They also host events to honor and recognize these heroes.
A few years ago I was looking for an organization that helps veterans and I came across this wonderful group that was close by. They offer so many great services to all kinds of veterans. I have participated in sock drives, food drives, toy drives and more. They do so much to help out the community.
United Military Care does an excellent job of taking care of the basic necessities of life for veterans and their families.
I have coordinated 3 Thanksgiving food drives and 3 Christmas toy drives with UMC to give to military families in need. Cannot say enough nice things about this organization. Such sweet volunteers.
Five out of five stars are given to United Military Care. Every client is given personal attention by a very knowledgable staff, regardless of the need of the veteran. The Battle Buddy program ensures that veterans in need (food insecurity, need transportion to the doctor or need information about the Veteran's Administration, need a little TLC and hundreds of other needs). Volunteers become a part of the family providing services to veterans. Every effort is given to take care of veterans.
UMC is an amazing Veteran support organization. They focus on Vets in the state of Georgia and provide food and clothing especially for the homeless Vets. Unlike some Veteran support organizations where less than 5% of donations go to the Vets, UMC applies almost everything they take in to them. They are an exceptional organization run by outstanding patriotic women!
I donate to UMC because my friend volunteers there, I like her a lot and she works really, really hard.....don’t know exactly what the heck she does but the veterans seem to really appreciate her work because they’re always calling her for socks !
I am very happy to tell you about my experience with United Military Care as a non- profit. They are wonderful charitiy that helps veterans on the ground floor - clothing, food, and financial support. My wife and I support this hard working charity because the good works they do throughout the military community. They take a personal approach in getting involved with individuals and helping solve their problems and serve them the best that they can.
I am also a part of an American Legion POst 29 and we sometimes partner together to solve a veterans issues. They are professional, compassionate and dedicated in the work that they do.

I've had the pleasure of working with United Military Care and they are a great organization that really help veterans
My husband is a veteran. We have both volunteered at United Military Care as well as contributing financially. We like how they care about the whole veteran and their family by providing food, clothing , Christmas gifts, financial help, etc.

We appreciate you both so much and have enjoyed working alongside you to care for our Veterans.
As a Soldier, particularly in a combat environment, you see, speak, feel & experience things in a different way. You interact with others in your same situation in a manner consistent with the job at hand and the way y'all were trained to do it. There is a sense of duty, camaraderie and even language, that facilitates a team approach to getting a job done, whatever that job may be.
Away from the military environment the Soldier may feel a bit out of place, different and even, alone. Those who haven't served many times cannot understand, much less appreciate, what the Soldier has been through, how they think, and why.
Veteran organizations, such as United Military Care, not only provide needed supplies & support to Veterans in need, but the opportunity to communicate with other Veterans, in a familiar, comfortable way. Interaction & communication with other "Battle Buddies" helps remove the feeling of loneliness, and encourages "community" for ALL involved. As volunteers with United Military Care we know our efforts are needed, helpful and greatly appreciated.
UNITED we stand with our MILITARY for mutual CARE and support.

As a Vietnam veteran myself, I have great empathy for those currently serving this great country of ours, and those who served in wars past. United Military Care understands the Veteran community and great needs within - from housing & medical needs, to human & personal social services. UMC is continually looking for ways to help Veterans, of all ages, in all stages of life. No one should be alone, and as a "Battle Buddy", we have each other.

Thank you for your service and for continuing to care for your brothers in arms.
United Military Care has the biggest heart and passion for Veterans. They feed the hungry, provide socks, hygiene kits and food bags to needy Veterans. But most of all they make sure Veterans are not forgotten. Volunteers are calling to check on Veterans during the pandemic. Veterans call in as strangers and finish the call with a new friend.

We appreciate everything you do for our Veterans!
United Military Care extended such care and support to our Military Families when we struggled to find it elsewhere.
Their Volunteer's go above and beyond to satisfy the need and then some. We appreciate you!! Thank you!

I've had the pleasure of working with United Military Care for the past few years. I cant speak highly enough about the dedicated UMC family. This is a wonderful organization.
UMC is a fantastic organization that truly does everything they can to help our vets. The people that work here have huge hearts and a giving spirit. My experience with them has been wonderful, and I will continue to return to help in anyway that I can.
Peggy and Kim both are one of a kind! I've had the pleasure of assisting them several times and the love and warmth they put into helping out vets is beyond impressive! Being a vet myself, it's great to see two people so involved in helping and going that extra mile.
I have been able to volunteer with them a few times over the last few years. The ladies are so amazing and compassionate. They help our hero’s and ask for nothing in return. The UMC is simply an amazing group.
I'm an older, single Vet (late 70s) living alone and my 'horizons' are not what they used to be.
Frankly, I was against the wall searching for my next move when I made contact with UMC and, almost immediately, things began to change for the better. The organization comes through with whatever the Vet needs by way of shelter, food and clothing; in my case it was transportation after my last hospital discharge.
"BOFFO", in my own personal language, is the highest compliment I can pay anyone or anything. In my view, United Military Care rates a "Triple BOFFO" !!
They have my never-ending appreciation.
.
Two of our three sons were in the USMC. One of them has done a lot of volunteer work with this group. He haz told us of some things they have done to assist vets who need help. I have met the lsdies who are in charge and they are very caring and grest things to help deserving veterans.
The people at UMC are very kind, loving and caring. They go beyond to help with our veterans with their needs and needs of their families. Thank you so much for your time and all you do for our veterans.
Peggy with United Military Care Inc. is an angel. I reached out for just a little hope & someone to listen & she was the only one answered. She listen to my story, in which my story seems unreal like all this couldn’t be going on with this one family & she listen & jumped in. She assist with getting school supplies, gift cards & treats for my 5 children but must of all she listen to me. I was able to take that load off my back, cry a little bit, & feel that I’m not alone. She gave me hope that someone cares & that’s all I really needed, that I’m not by myself & it’s going to be ok. Thank you Peggy for restoring my hope.
I have worked with these folks for the last few years as a volunteer and they are PHENOMENAL supporters of our veteran community. Can’t imagine people who are more giving or engaged...
UMC is a wonderful organization. They truly have a heart for veterans making a difference in there lives and the community that they serve. Working with them has been a joy!
Kim, Peggy, and everyone at United Military Care are wonderful. They give everything they have to make sure everyone else's needs are met. They are family to me. They pour their hearts into the organization and do what is right by our veterans, military. and their families.
Everyone at UMC is the best. Day after day they work tirelessly to provide support for our veterans and work with elected officials to support of veterans.
I am proud to know and support everyone at UMC.

I have participated in fundraising and a flag retirement ceremony. Everything is handled in a respectful manner and focus is always on the Veterans. I look forward to participating in future events for the wonderful cause
During the time I lost my job and was losing my home, United Military Care stepped in and provided food/groceries for my family. My husband and I were so busy trying to save our home that we couldn't afford to buy food. They were truly a blessing for me and my family.
I was looking for a place to volunteer but I wanted a place that was honest about what they did and how they helped the veterans and this place was exactly what I was looking for
As an ex Army Vet finding an organization like this is a Godsend. This place really helped me and my family through a difficult time.
I had a great experience with the ladies when I attended a yard sale in Marietta Ga. They didn't hesitate to help me find some good items for my grand baby. They really believe in what they was doing for the veterans.
Giving of your time to help those who served our country is about the most rewarding thing a person can do. I go home grateful every time I interact with a veteran. United Military Care provides all the fixings for Thanksgiving meals, toys for military kids at Christmas and food/clothing for homeless veterans through outreach at Ft Mac. Those are just the big things! Then there are those phone conversations with veterans that need to hear a friendly voice on a bad day - we reach them through our Battle Buddy Program. Home visits are made to our veterans who are home alone or in Assisted Living/Nursing Homes. The Battle Buddy program partners veteran with a veteran for those "buddy" conversations. All visits are include a food bag to supplement what may be a once-a-day meal delivery program. United Military Care can always use more volunteers and more donations to continue the awesome work they do making lives a little easier and a lot brighter for our Veterans.
I have watched United Military Care provide empathetic and supportive care to military members and their families. They are a vital resource for the community.
I have been involved with United Military Care since it began. Over the years I have been a business owner working with some of the largest companies and organizations in the world. I also have been associated with several non-profits, and there have been times when I did not like the way some of these non-profits were run or spent their donations.
United Military Care is an exceptionally well run organization. The mission of United Military Care is one that I fully believe is needed. Although there are many Veteran related non profits, United Military Care helps the Military families and Veterans in a special way, by providing food, clothing and help with housing and benefit related issues. They are a very deserving organization.
This organization really cares about our veterans and active duty military families. I've had the pleasure of volunteering with them and what I experienced was awesome. They took great care in talking to people on the phone and I noticed how they made sure the people they spoke with knew they cared. When in need one of the first things people look for is someone who will actually take the time to listen. United Military Care is the very best I've seen yet.
An Organization that truly puts the military ahead of themselves. They would give the shirt off their backs if a military member or veteran needed it.
Great organization. Kim puts her heart and soul into running this organization. She is the kind of person who would give you the last dollar out of her own wallet.

A organisation that takes care of Veterans, and families that are need with advise and guidance and help towards making life better in the future Thank You so much to all that have volunteered for this organisation.
United Military Care was very helpful with assistance me and my Family with Food and clothing. We were also offered laundry services. We got help with school supply for our Children. We also participated in the Kids Serve Too for the Summer which included hot Meals and Arts and Craft Project
United Military Cares is an amazing organization run and operated by nothing but volunteers. They truly care about all Veterans and go above and beyond to do whatever they can to help them. They also recognize the importance of the families that support the veterans.
United Miltary Care and specifically Kim Scofi have been an amazing blessing to my family and many others I've known for over 6 years now.
As a Military spouse and former FRG leader, I never realized how much this group did until of course one of my families or my own family needed them. They have helped with many things such as just supporting our unit as our soliders were deployed, to helping provide food and clothing to families in need, helping sponsoring children of service members during the christmas season, helping covering bills when the paychecks just didn't stretch far enough to cover. They've even help families in need after deployment find the a counselors to help keep these families together as a strong unit. I personally still recommend this agency to many I come in contact with that have needs.
UMC works around the clock to help any military family that is need! Their events are always fun and give back to the community without asking for anything else in return.
The care and concern shown by the volunteers at United Military Care is shown not only to those who visit the office for services, but expressed amongst the volunteers themselves towards each other. The organization works hard to create a familial atmosphere where anyone is welcome and thanks given for their service. The things they are able to accomplish and events they organize for veterans and their families with the donations they receive are remarkable. This is a group that believes in education of services for veterans and has a knowledgeable group of volunteers to learn from. I hope to see a UMC near every military installation someday!
I thought it was a wonderful thing you did, today. There truly was something for everyone. Thank you so much for the help and kindness. What a blessing at a time when there is much turmoil. The children there witnessed goodness and community. Thank you for that.
United military care is amazing with both of our last 2 babies they were so helpful and always kind. We go to the
Can't praise United Military Care enough. They help in so many ways bread, clothing, couponing, helpful info and so much more. My daughter loves the art program they have had during summer. Don't think we would have survived the rotations/deployments if not for it. Oh and can't forget to thank and mention their Volunteers, they are amazing.
United Military Care is the only non-profit organization that I know of that helps all military and their families, be they active, retired, or just a veteran who served. They provide food staples and clothing and even household goods as needed. All of this is provided free of charge. They give from their hearts and ask nothing in return. They also help with writing resumes and budgeting to help with the families needs. Thank you United Military Care for all you do for everyone in the community.

I have only been volunteering with this organization for about 6 months. Since starting I have seen the great work that they do, more than 400 military families (active, retired, veteran) have been helped monthly with food, clothing, and guidance and counseling on many different aspects of the military life. The vice president of this organization shows families how to shop smartly and save money as well as giving them support, even if it is only to listen to their needs and then directing them to the right resources if we don't have them. It is the only organization that helps all military families regardless of rank or status. I appreciate everything they do. I am proud to call myself a volunteer for this organization.
Everyone at United Military Care is genuinely interested in helping their clients. The help and service they provided to the families of our military members has been unequal. That being said; they don't help individuals that can't help themselves. It is easy to spot people who are unwilling to WORK to get out of their situation.
I've volunteered at United Military Care for six years and it is home to me. They are my family and I watch the staff give up everything to help our military families. I see what goes on day to day and the sacrifices the staff makes. I get excited to wake up every day and come to work because I know I will get to see real world miracles happen. I'm the first person you hear when you call the Atlanta office so give me a call and tell me how you will help this great charity. I'm a 30 year USAF spouse I know how hard it can be on military families and children. Please give.

We love you! You are such an important part of our team and together we get to make a difference. Thank you for giving so much of your time to help military families.
It is a true pleasure to work alongside so many selfless individuals who volunteer to serve military and veteran families around Georgia. There are so many families whose lives have been turned around because of this organization. Personally I have seen families without food leave with a smile on their face because they know they will be able to feed their children, I have witnessed dreams come true when a hometown hero throws out the first pitch at a Braves ball game and received thank you letters from veterans who would have gone without heat in their home during the freezing months of winter. Kudos to United Military Care and your team!
I highly recommend United Military Care for its commitment to those who serve. There is never a dull moment at either office (Atlanta and Hinesville) as there is always something going on to help our military. Our country needs to embrace charities that do what they say and show their support through dollars and time.
I was so grateful when I found out about United Military Care. We literally had an emergency where we had no money for any food. I saw a post on facebook about them, and so I went to get some assistance. I was amazed that they were giving out free Panera Bread to military families. And I felt so welcome, like a family. I was brought into a private area where I can tell them about my needs. And they gave me food for my family. They really had a lot of recommendations for me also. I made new friends that day. And I recommend them to everyone. From diapers to pans, from food to clothes...they are so giving when you are truly in time of need. And they only run off of donations. This community is so strong, they are giving, and caring. Without them and benefactors, United Military Care would not have been able to help me that day. Thank you! I now dedicate my spare time to UMC. Because that one small deed made me want to give them everything I can!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It is truly our pleasure serving such wonderful people around Georgia.
This is such an amazing organization! Provides so much for the military community! I can go and wash my laundry there if I don't have a washer or dryer. I can get kids clothes, pots and pans, or staple pantry items if we are having a rough time with finances. They don't care what your rank is, because EVERYONE needs a hand up every now and then! They have helped so much in small ways with our recent PCS to the area and I appreciate that they are here.

We are blessed to help great folks around Georgia - thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
You guys are of great help. We we've come close to having no food or clothes for our baby, you have been there. Your help has cover the basic needs for a lot of families.
I have volunteered for various organizations catered to multiple populations. United Military Care is one of the few that really gives 110% into everything. I have been in the office while the phone is ringing off the hook and have heard members discuss alternative solutions to various cases of veterans in need of assistance. They are constantly reaching out to the community and engaging people via social media. Very impressed with the organization ran by such few members.
Amazing organization who goes above and beyond to help our military families and community in so many ways! And the volunteers are always happy to be there with a smile on their face! We are Blessed to have this organization!

I am a service disabled U.S. Navy veteran and a military advocate, especially for women veterans. I provide services to numerous military families through my professional counseling and consulting business. It is most helpful to have a local non-profit agency available for referrals. I trust them to handle service members with dignity and respect. They have been very responsive when families have been in need. Thanks for doing a great job!

I have worked with United Military Care for several years as a key referral for service members in need. UMC tries to help anyone in distress by doing a thoughtful intake and staffing for immediate assistance. Plus they are very active in general support by helping organize special events such as Braves Day for service members. They have 2 locations in North Metro Atlanta area and close to Ft. Stewart in the south. They also travel to the Ft Gordon and Ft Benning areas as needed. Thumbs up as a great resource.
Most amazing staff my family fell on hard times and they were right there to help us. Very supportive and kind.

I am constantly amazed at the services provided by United Military Care in our community. I always choose to donate to UMC because I know my donations will go directly into helping our community. Keep up the good work!!
I started with United Military Care as a volunteer 3 years ago, I have successfully completed my internship under the guidance and education of the Vice President who has a deep compassion to educate and provide the proper knowledge not just for the military personnel but for all who have served or those that have a compassion to help the military community. Her guidance has helped me to receive my Bachelors Degree in Business allowing me to grow as an individual and a military spouse. United Military Care shows a passion and dedication to honor our soldiers and their families understanding that military families share in the same financial struggles as any family.
United Military Care has been a continuous honor to volunteer for. This military organization stands by its dedication and devotion to assist all military families in need of all ranks and status in the military. To have such a wide variety of services that makes a better tomorrow for our military families while their in transition is a blessing. With all our generous donors of in-kind goods it also provides a boost of morale for families that are facing difficult financial and emotional hardships in their lives.
United military care is an awesome organization that supports military families. Being a leader, it's nice to have an organization that I can recommend my soldier's to instead of constantly refereeing them to command programs which are often hard and time consuming to get immediate help in financial, food, and clothing crisis. I myself have even used their services. This type of organization is needed around every military base. They are great at supporting military families. The staff of volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable of other programs and resources available for military families both on post and off.
This non profit organization is such a blessing !
All the people are willing to help military families- thank you sooo much!!!
United Military Care is an amazing organization dedicated to the needs of our veterans and military families. Having worked in the VA system for three plus years, I have seen first-hand the struggles that many of our veterans (and their families) encounter upon their return from recent deployment overseas. United Military Care works tirelessly to meet the needs of these veterans by providing many forms of support, resources, and care both to individual veterans/families and throughout the community. I'm proud to support such an amazing organization that supports those who have given so much for our country!
As a volunteer, I've witnessed total dedication to Military Families Needs. From the necessities of life, budget planning, to Celebration of Service, United Military Care provides the total package. Volunteers are given the opportunity to learn job skills at the same time they are helping others. This is an organization that gives a hand up not a hand out. It's a role model for how a non-profit should be in today's society.
This organization is amazing, the people are very nice and understanding of situations people face. They respond quickly to emails and help immediately to calls and help any way their able.
The mission of this organization is clear, the staff's dedication to their clients, "Veterans" and their families is incredible. The organization collects and gives to those that have GIVEN the most. Headed by a STRONG leadership team, and are supported by efforts of volunteers, embraced by the local community and bussinesses. I visited the location for myself, and the veteran-students of Georgia Perimeter College. They provided goods to our students but most importantly information of services available. We appreciate their efforts and thank them for their service. Please support their efforts and continue to pay it forward.
