Mission: To promote maine artists by providing opportunities for marketing, education and collaboration.
Programs: The organization had 7 craft shows in 2017 at various locations across maine, including highly attended shows in scarborough, augusta and bangor. Member exhibitors range from professional artisans who make their living selling their products, to home based hobbyists who want to sell their wares. Crafts included accessories, bbq sauces, birdhouses, books, candles, children's and doll clothing, ceramics, fabric arts, food products, knitting, personal care products, decorative painting, needlework, orginal art, pet products, photography, quilts,weaving, wood crafts, jewelry, and an array of other handcrafted items. The organization contracts a show director to manage each show, but relies on volunteers to help with the layout and distribution of marketing materials. Over 15,000 people attended the craft shows. The organization offers 2 art scholarships annually to students pursuing a major and career in a visual art.
