My mother passed away on 11/21/2016 and she had an account/balance left over that she never picked up because she was liberated from SelfHelp on 9/29/2015.
I went to surrogate's court so I could have the legal power over my mother's estate. I presented SelfHelp with the documents and I was told they couldn't give me the monies because the document wasn't worded right. Though reading the letter from the courts you could clearly see that I was awarded administrator over her estate. So now I had to go back to court to get it done right. Now on 1/9/2017 I returned with all my paper work and certificate from the courts. I was told I would have the funds by the end of the week and I'm still getting the run around.
