Mission: To passionately pursue changed lives by demonstrating the love of jesus christ to the homeless and needy.
Programs: The mentorship program includes one-on-one life skills mentorship and resource networking using internal and community offerings, as well as partnerships with other rescue missions providing services ugm of missoula does not currently offer, such as alcohol and drug life-recovery programs. Included in the mentorship program is the work experience program, offering participants the opportunity to regain work history through on-site and external experiences, helping participants build up a resume and gain a character reference while volunteering with supervision through the mission. The clean your closet for christ campaign is an inter-facility and community-wide component of mentorship, providing an avenue for work experience participants from the day center and the thrift boutique while also functioning as a social enterprise for the mission.
the meal service program which operates through the day center distributed approximately 13,370 meals and 107 food boxes, while also providing personal hygiene items and hundreds of pounds of clothing, sleeping bags, and blankets transferred from our thrift boutique, to meet the daily survival needs of missoula's homeless and/or needy.
ugm of missoulas women & childrens ministries offers single women and women with children a loving country-side setting for solution-based emergency shelter. The shelter is open from dinnertime through breakfast and incorporates relationally-focused goal-oriented activities such as parenting classes, money management, and personal growth opportunities, into the emergency stay. Emergency lodging includes meals, showers, and overnight accommodations, and transportation to and from the shelter is provided via the shelter shuttle. In 2016, over 5,300 meals were served and over 3,600 nights of shelter provided. All services are offered within the framework of a christian world view and are open to both christian and non-christian participants.
