I have had the privilege of collaborating with many incredible organizations, but Under His Wings stands out as a true gem in our community! I met the Executive Director Arcelia about two years ago and knew immediately that we would be connected. Her dedication to the young ladies in the program is truly inspiring! She gives her all to these girls!

My experience with this nonprofit profit has been amazing. You can tell they truly care about people and they do their best to show it. I never imagined I would be where I am today and I owe it all to Under His Wings. Even now I still talk to people I met there and the director. On one of my most important days they showed up for me and showed their support for me. The director cares the most and she is the best person I know. When I was struggling with my life and needed help they were there for me. I’m so grateful for Under His Wings and I hope others are able to get help from them as well.
Under His Wings is an amazing opportunities for young girls and families to grow and heal from challenging situations. They provide wisdom and guidance that impacts families for a lifetime.

Under His Wings is an incredible nonprofit I’ve personally seen transform lives in our community. Through their steadfast commitment to Christian principles, they’ve provided guidance, support, and hope to local teens and their families. Their work doesn’t stop there—it extends to uplifting the entire community. Their programs are rooted in genuine care and a deep desire to reflect God’s love in everything they do. I’ve witnessed firsthand how they help young people grow in confidence and purpose while fostering unity and positive change across all they touch. This organization is truly a blessing to everyone they serve!
I have worked with Under His Wings by providing life coaching and exercise services. The staff at UHW truly care for and invest their whole hearts into the girls who utilize their services. Many residential homes and programs are merely a stop in the journey of a troubled persons life but at UHW it's not just a stop along the way it's a transformative encounter that leaves the girls walking down an entirely different path than the one they were on when they came to UHW.
It is truly remarkable to see the transformation that takes place in the residential girls. It's so wonderful that while they are in the residential program they are receiving not only love and care but skills and help in areas that they will take when them when they graduate. UHW also provides help and resources outside of the residential program and make it evident through their diligent support that they genuinely care for the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of girls who need it so desperately.
I am honored to work with a program that shows the true love of Christ in tangible ways to each and every participant, it is a rare thing to see these days!
Under His Wings is more than what it began over 11 years ago. It had a humble beginning as a residential home, and now while still humble they serve not only girls in the home, after they return home, those that await to come to the home, and those that won’t be able to come. Today not only each of these girls are loved and served, but their parents, relatives, friends and each person they interact with for the rest of their life. I’ve been able to serve along side my wife for over 5 years in many roles and ways.
I've seen first hand the impact this organization can have for the girls who come into the residential program. Many that have graduated from Under His Wings continue to keep in touch and support the girls who come after. They know, as we do, that Under His Wings' mission is to help them heal and succeed through discovering their worth in God's eyes, not the world's. They know to reach their dreams they need to say no to the things that will hinder them from reaching that goal.

While I am not apart of Under His Wings, I have helped/worked for events that they have held. There is so much that they are doing for people and helping steward them on their walk with the Lord, and in their families. I support them because of the support they both give/show others, and the amount of time they genuinely pour into these young women. God has most definitely got His hand over this team, and I am praying that the Lord would continue to have His hand over the young women too. Jesus is so good!
Under His Wings is a distinctively Christian ministry which receives girls who are in poor family environments and impresses on them their worth in Christ, they continue their education, learn to relate in a healthy way, and if they have a special area of interest, they are encouraged and provided avenues to pursue those interest.
I have been supporting UHW monthly because I believe in Arcelia’s mission to save young ladies as they work through life’s challenges. I wish they could double the number of young women in the program.
I have watch Under His Wings grow and flourish over the past few years. They have excellent leadership in their executive director. This nonprofit's mission is to connect young women residents to who they are in the eyes of Christ! They provide these teens impacted by trauma with a loving home and teach them life skills! They help them navigate a positive future.

I spent 2 1/2 years as a girl in the under his wings home. I had no hopes of graduation until I entered the program. What does program literally changed my life. And now I have been attending my dream university since August this year.
After years of trying to find help for our daughter we were told about Under His Wings. From the first phone call I knew this was the avenue for help we had been looking for. It was ordained by God. From the first moment I talked to Arcelia I knew our daughter was going to get the help she needed. She is home for a visit after three months and we know that she is not the same child that she was when she entered the program. She is doing so much better and is still in the early stages of the program there. I can’t wait to see the young woman of God that she is going to become! We are amazed and grateful for Under His Wings and all that they are doing for the girls there.
I have been volunteering and working with Under His Wings for a little over four years now and the impact I have directly seen within those four years is truly amazing.
I have had the opportunity to serve with Under His Wings on many occasions. From leading worship at their banquets, to playing music at their fundraiser yard sale, to doing yard work around their house. Every opportunity to serve with them is so encouraging to me. Not only do they love the girls at the house well, but constantly seek to share Christ with whomever they come in contact with. Under His Wings looks to share the love of God to the girls first, but also to the workers that serve, the donors that give, and the every day people they come in contact with. They are a true example of how a believer needs to be serving and loving others.
I serve as one of the board members of Under His Wings, now for several years. The last couple of years have been such a challenge, yet God continues to surpass all expectations and has blessed UHW beyond all we could ask.
The girls that come through this program come from troubled homes. They need help through counseling, mentoring, education, and need a stable, loving environment to help them, in making better decisions & choices in life. This program gives them this opportunity with the help of our dedicated director, our devoted house parents and the staff & volunteers that invest in these girls lives.
Through this program we are able to Provide them a beautiful & loving Christian home. Connecting them with who they are in the eyes of God and certainly able to equip them with life essential to wholeness.
I'm so excited to say this program is making such a difference in the girls that have this opportunity and for their families. I can't think of no better investment than into the lives of each girl that comes to UHW. To God be the Glory.

I was completely broken and when I went here they help me get past everything that was making me depressed I give this place 5/5
My 14 year old daughter lost her father when she was 4 years old and was sexually abused by a relative at 5. I raised her as a single mother in a very loving home. She played travel ball and did all the things every child does. When she entered middle school she began to be very distracted by boys. (What teenager isn't). I was warned when we went through counseling when she was young that this may happen when she became a teenager. Long story short, she began sneaking out of the house to meet boys. I did everything possible to stop her and punish her. Eventually I even got her into the court system to scare her. I just wanted to protect her. One night when she snuck out it was not a boy but several men that picked her up. She had been set up and was missing for 4 days. As her mother I was beyond distraught. After 2 months in Juvenile detention, we found Under His Wings. It was a God send. I mean it. God put these wonderful people in our lives. I have seen my child grow in the Lord and in the believe that she is worthy and loved. She has always known she was loved by her mother and siblings and family but somewhere she got lost. The counseling and teaching that she receives at Under His Wings has made a huge difference in her life. I feel as if they have partnered with me to help my child find her way to the purpose that God has for her. I am forever grateful.
Under His Wings has had a huge impact on my family. My daughter Chloe has been at UHW for a year now. I’ll give a little back story. In April 2019, I was shot 8 times by a nephew that we had taken into our home. The day my nephew was arrested my daughter came forward with abuse that she was enduring for 6 months by the hands of my nephew. During my recovery our community, church and friends rallied around our family and healing began. Chloe was in need of more healing than we could give her and we found UHW. Since day one Chloe has been given the tools, support, grace and understanding to overcome her trauma and focus on her healing. Chloe is a senior now and currently looking forward to college. UHW has given my daughter a second chance at life, they have reminded her that she is the daughter of a King and anything is possible. I will forever be grateful for all they have done for her. I’ve been highly impressed with all the resources and support they have been able to give Chloe to change her life for the better.
Trauma and Drama are all some teenage girls experience... That is until they are taken UNDER HIS WINGS! This Christ-centered home for girls creates a new focus for these girls... HOPE! The staff cares for their physical, mental and spiritual needs by building connections and character. The caring counseling staff partners with their parents to equip these young women with the life skills and tools they need to move forward positively. What a blessing.
I have volunteered as a tutor primarily to two of the clients of the UHW organization. The teachers and parents and administration have always desired to provide quality individualized education services with a supportive, contentious approach. I have been able to watch each participant grow in knowledge and respect and confidence.
I especially appreciate that the staff is able to incorporate their faith in Jesus Christ in all they do.
Under His Wings was a blessing in my life. When a serious incident took place in my home with a sweet teenage girl that I was taking care of, I was left in the dark without any hope of finding a suitable place for the girl to get the healing and comfort that she needed. My pastors’ wife mentioned UHW. I called them on a Friday afternoon and the voice on the other line offered me comfort and assurance that I was not alone and that she would analyze the situation and try to help if she could. She then prayed over the phone with me and I knew right then that God was not going to abandon me. A few days later, the girl was moved in and settled into UHW house. She would called me to tell me how well she was doing and how much she loved her houseparents at UHW. Everyone I spoken with her and got updates from UWH, my heart would fill joy and assurance that UHW was the place that the girl needed. I will be forever thankful to UHW and their staff (specially Arcelia, Julia and Sharon) for taking the girl in with their arms wide open and for caring for her as if she was their own.
