Unbridled Hope is an incredible ministry that leaves a lasting impact.
I have personally been able to see the effects that Jenny and her team have on adult’s and children’s lives through time and training with their gentle horses. It is empowering and life-changing for so many of these individuals. The healing that comes through the combination of excellent, loving staff, intuitive, well-trained horses, and a beautiful farm environment is life-changing for all who get to experience it.
My Granddaughter has ADHD and has experienced trauma in her past. She has had some wonderful experiences at Unbridled Hope. She loves to work with ”Gilligan “ and Jenny is so patient with her. She has started to have more trust since she has been coming to visit with the horses.
I am a Center Manager for the Head Start Program. This past spring Jenny and some of her staff came and brought some of her miniature horses for the children to interact and pet.
I feel Unbridled Hope and Jenny go above and beyond as a non-profit and would encourage other parents to bring their children for a unique experience in equestrian therapy.

Unbridled Hope
Unbridled Hope has been working with underprivileged youth and their families within their community providing therapeutic, spiritual, emotional and family support for well over a year now. They continue to touch and change lives for families dealing with trauma. The staff continue to educate themselves and the public on the effects of trauma and provide trauma informed care to their clients with compassion and empathy. A true blessing to the community and the families they serve.
Unbridled Hope is a great asset to the communities surrounding it. I was unfamiliar with horse therapy until about a year and a half ago. I have witnessed the hard work and dedication this family has put into this ministry. They are very knowledgeable in horse therapy and have created a very welcoming atmosphere for everyone that comes out. I have talked to many individuals that have been referred to Unbridled Hope, and they all speak very highly of the services they have received.
They people are great Jenny is a wonderful lady and the horses are great. I believe it’s a wonderful program. I have not used this particular program but helped at one similar in another state and I honestly believe people need to interact with horses more they truly listen to your feelings and help you cope.
I could never put in words how grateful I am that my daughter and son in law found this wonderful place to take my precious granddaughter to.Our whole family was very concerned about the issues this sweet little girl was going through. She is too young to know how to deal with the huge changes of emotions that happens to us when life throws us a curve ball such as a death in the family especially when we are so close to them it's a very difficult situation to deal with as adults so I can't imagine what was going through her mind. We were very concerned with how she was doing, everything from sadness to anger and every emotion in between. I am so amazed at the change in her sense she started Unbridled Hope. Mrs.Jenny is certainly a Godsend. We are getting our sweet baby girl back, with every session comes a new little twinkle back in her eyes and she loves going to be with Mrs.Jenny and all the horses and other animals that she gets to work with. I will continue to support this wonderful place and hope many more people can experience what my family has here.
My great nieces have spent time at Unbridled Hope and love it! They are quick to talk about the animals and what they do there. I have seen several photos of them there and the peacefulness and confidence are amazing!
As a mental health therapist, I have not only utilized UH as a therapy location; but, I have also referred many clients to their mentorship program. Great place!!
I have been a volunteer at Unbridled Hope for over a year now. The work Jenny and her horses do is amazing! She works very hard and cares so much for her clients as well as her horses. I encourage anyone who has a need to work through a situation to come to Unbridled Hope. Jenny told me, she felt God told her to come to this farm and do the work she does. He is there with her and they are doing wonderful things!
I had my first experience with Unbridled Hope last year. My coworker and I were invited by Jenny (the owner) to come out and see the horses, the location, and how she engages in sessions with clients. We were given opportunity to "choose" a horse. I was excited, having had no experience with horses before. I chose a horse. However, she did not choose me. Another horse kept coming to me. I got to work with her the remainder of my time there and learned that this horse had been through some trauma and was drawn to those who've experienced trauma. I was floored, because I have been through trauma as a child. I will never forget that experience. I did not realize the impact the experience would have on me! My coworker and I work with children in community mental health and we knew after that day how benefical this service would be for our kiddos. Since that day, several of our children have taken advantage of this service. Children connect with the horses in a way that is hard to explain. In my experience, They communicate with them nonverbally and leave sessions feeling restored and free, as if a weight has been lifted from their shoulders. Unbridled Hope is devoted to helping others cope with traumatic experiences and day to day issues. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Jenny! She is always ready to help her clients and takes their treatment seriously. Unbridled Hope is a true asset in our community.
Unbridled Hope is an amazing place for anyone to go! It’s awesome to see how the horses help people learn about themselves and grow as individuals. I could spend everyday there and I know my client’s who attend would as well! ❤️❤️The horses and what Unbridled Hope stands for!!

We LOVE Unbridled Hope. I heard about this organization through my sister-in-law. My4 year old has had some traumatic events in her little life, including losing an uncle by suicide. Jenny was very welcoming on our first visit and she is so patient with my daughter. My daughter has made progress in the short few months we've been going. I'm so thankful we found Unbridled Hope
Unbridled hope uses a method of horse training that is gentle and relationship focused, which makes it unique from other equine therapy programs. The client sessions follow the same relationship centered model and I have been amazed by the results. I have had the pleasure of volunteering for the past year and have witnessed human-animal connections that are immediate and deep. Jenny’s work is unparalleled because she uses evidence-based and scientifically-based techniques to continually bring each session back to building relationships with others through building relationship with the horse. Unbridled Hope teaches clients critical life skills in a natural way in a natural environment. Sessions are conducted in an age-appropriate and ability-appropriate way and much preparation and care is given to each one. This organization is making a difference in the lives of all who have the pleasure of being a part of it.
My 2 kids go to unbridled hope. The horses help so much. My daughter talks about going to unbridled hope, and seeing" her horse Gilligan" all the time. My children love it, and they both very much appreciate the help they get through Jenny Sutherland. Unbridled hope is an amazing place to connect with the horses, and help them with insecurities, selfesteem, self control, and patience.
I have guardianship of a child who began in my special needs classroom. He has PTSD, RAD, ADHD, sensory issues etc. working at Unbridled Hope allows him to express himself, work with someone who can help him connect to his feelings, and opens doors for me to be able to talk to him. He loves the horses and the calmness has helped him greatly. He loves working with Jenny and constantly asks when we are going to see her and the horses. This place works wonders and gives hope to those who haven’t had any in a long time!
My adopted children came from a traumatic situation. My son, age 7, is also diagnosed with autism, ADHD and ODD. My daughter, age 5, is also diagnosed with ADHD and RAD. Our case manager suggested we give Unbridled Hope a chance. The first visit had my daughter and I hooked on the horses !! The horses help us to understand how we are feeling inside. We learn so many lessons from them. Jenny Sutherland is so knowledgeable, kind and understanding! Our children love and respect her so much! Mrs. Sutherland has such training techniques with the horses and children that just has to be seen with one's own eyes to believe it!

Unbridled Hope is amazing! I have been there as a mental health professional and with my own kiddos! I highly recommend it for any age group or population/need. The benefits of what can be learned and how hope can be restored is remarkable! God is with this place!

Unbridled Hope is changing lives! I have spent a lot of time with Jenny as both a participant and as a volunteer. This place has become a safe place for so many, a place where healthy relationships can begin, trauma can heal, and people can learn meaningful truths about themselves.
II have a grandaughter that is ADHD. She has parents that both battle drug addiction. The one thing she loves is animals...especially horses. I had a friend who was in a similar situation and told me about taking her granddaughter to Unbridled Hope.
I can not say enough about Unbridled Hope. It has far exceeded anything I expected. It is very therapeutic. I have seen vast improvements since she has started going there. She has learned so much about taking care of animals and how they are similar to us. She is starting to understand more about her own feelings, how to trust, and how to handle fear. She has started opening up more to me with her feelings about issues concerning her Mom and Dad.
Lastly, I have told numerous friends and colleagues (teachers) about this program as well as a local pediatrician. I would highly recommend Unbridled Hope to anyone, at any age, looking for equestrian therapy.

Unbridled Hope and Jenny Sutherland are a blessing to the community. to watch the joy, confidence and changes in kids and adults as well while in a session is amazing. I have been fortunate to volunteer with Jenny on many occasions and it is beyond gratifying to see the power the horses have to relieve stress, fear and everyday issues with her clients. I have watched children who had to be lifted up onto the horse in to the lap of another smile from ear to ear as they led him around. It is pure joy to me to be involved and I can only hope that more people will be able to have the experience of a session if they can.
Jenny Sutherland is a miracle worker. She is very patient. Her horses are gentle. My 16 year old daughter who has autism and can be aggressive finds peace at Unbridled Hope. It’s amazing to see the transformation from an anxious, angry girl to a peaceful and happy girl. At Unbridled Hope, my daughter is able to communicate her emotions and knows the horses will not judge her.
Unbridled Hope has been Heaven sent for our Chloe who is autistic. It truly is hard to put into words the changes that we have seen since experiencing the miracles of equine therapy.
When first beginning, Chloe could not put into words how she was feeling. And there was an absolute and complete disconnect with her emotions. We now witness Chloe verbalizing and even physically showing us how she is feeling- even if it is a “hoof stomp” or a nudge with her head. We now know she is feeling a certain way because that is how Chloe and the horses have communicated their emotions toward each other.
It is hard to put into words how much Unbridled Hope has enriched my life as well the life of my daughter. The horses are so gentle, accepting, and plain old therapeutic. Their ability to empathize with each individual, knowing EXACTLY what is in the heart and mind, and then offer their unconditional love and acceptance opens up the power within each person to move through those issues and come out stronger and more confident. The process is so subtle one may not even realize what has happened until well after time with the horses. It is usually then that I can reflect and see just what God intended me to see. I love Unbridled Hope. And I cannot wait to get back out there.
