As a parent, one of the greatest joys is seeing your children genuinely happy and thriving. My two daughters absolutely love Tzu Chi Elementary School. Their excitement every morning, the way they talk about their teachers and classmates, and the kindness they’ve learned to practice—these have all deeply touched me as a mother.

Their love for the school naturally drew me in, and I soon found myself becoming more involved as a parent volunteer. Through volunteering, I’ve had the opportunity to give back to this wonderful community and support the place that has brought so much joy and growth to my children. It’s been a meaningful experience that’s helped me connect with other families and witness firsthand the heart and care that Tzu Chi pours into each child.

A wonderful organization that leads with kindness.

The Life Science Garden at Tzu Chi Education Foundation provides students in Tzu Chi schools and even for students in nearby schools with excellent hands-on experience to learn about how to maintain garden and different types of plants. The garden also offer a supportive environment where community members can connect with one another on a personal level. I enjoy to visit the Life Science Garden as well.

High schools usually require students to volunteer in the community, and it is a record that colleges review for student applications. Many new/new families in the US don't know where their teenagers can volunteer or are afraid to reach out to main stream nonprofits due to language barriers. Tzu Chi Education Foundation is a good choice. They do not only provide volunteering opportunities but also mentorship as an educational nonprofit. The organization is also Mandarin/English bilingual

美國高中一般要求學生做社區志工，相關記錄在申請大學時也是學校考量的重要依據；但許多新移民家庭不知道小孩可以去哪裡做志工，擔心小團體不正規，但有時又因為語言隔閡不方便將小孩送到大機構去。慈濟教育基金會就是很好的讓孩子做志工的地點，中英雙語的環境，而且小志工會獲得具有教育意義的陪伴。

慈济是一个国际慈善机构，曾经辅助救济一百三十多个国家，非常了不起。慈济启发人善良本性，哪里有灾难就出现在哪里！付出无所求，广结善缘，普惠众生。

I am delighted to share my experience with Tzu Chi Education Foundation, an outstanding organization dedicated to making a significant impact in our community. I highly recommend others to get involved with or support this incredible organization. Their work is vital, and their impact is significant!

Teachers at the Tzu Chi Elementary school, Walnut, CA are excellent. They are all loving, patiences and experienced teachers and they all went above and beyond for their students and families. I am really satisfied and wish more parents know how good the school is. I have 3 kids who went to Tzu Chi. One is already graduated and is now in college, the other two are in TK and 3rd grade. They are very happy in school and they loved their teachers. Their levels are higher than other schools. Teachers will challenge them to the next levels and they provide supplementary materials to the students. I really appreciate how they incorporated the humanity classes and especially character education in their program. This is really important for the children because I think having good manners, loving hearts and know how to appreciate and be grateful to others and things are very important.
They also include music, art and PE in their curriculum plus they offer after school enrichment program for the students. My kids can stay for the enrichment classes without me driving them around town.

I like that Tzu Chi teaches students the healthy development of personality. In addition to the normal teaching content, they can also learn courses on natural environmental protection and farm experience. More importantly, they pay attention to the character education of students, which will have a great positive impact on their future life.

As an educator at Tzu Chi Education Foundation for the past few months, I can't even begin to express the fulfillment and joy this experience has brought into my life. Tzu Chi Education Foundation has also been a place of personal growth for me. Through various programs and the support of my colleagues, I have developed my skills and knowledge in education. But most importantly, the values and principles that Tzu Chi embodies have profoundly influenced my perspective on life.

To be able to play a role in shaping the future citizens of the world and being part of a team that truly cares about making a difference is an honor. I am extremely proud to be a part of the Tzu Chi family.

Tzu Chi life Science Garden is part of the Tzu Chi Education Campus open to public on Saturdays. It's cozy and filled with many different veggies, flower and fruit trees. Very nice place and a good experience for kids and adults.

It's truly a pleasure to working with Tzu Chi Education Foundation. Our family members are really enjoying volunteer events with Tzu Chi during our weekends in the past half year. They provide tons of volunteer opportunities that can fit all age level and all year around. Tzu Chi has a great love to all, crossing culture, religion and countries. Just love it from our bottom of heart.

Even before volunteering, I really admired how the Tzu Chi workers and staffs worked together to create a safe and positive environment for all. After learning more about their charity work and great efforts into providing a stronger community in society, I looked forward into volunteering here myself! This is my first time doing any volunteer work as a student in Highschool, and I couldn’t be more proud of being apart of Tzu Chi and serving my community!

Tzu Chi Education is a great place to send your kids for schooling. The school here not only teach the fundamentals like reading, writing, math, science, social studies, PE and Chinese, but also focus on building good characters. There is even a garden where the children can learn responsibility from caring for plants. As Nelson Mandela says, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

In addition to providing high-quality education and cultivating children's character and values, the Education Foundation has been committed to community service and community volunteer recruiting, communicating with the community, and serving as an important bond to connect the community. Volunteering is one of the most important jobs, which inspires children's compassion, learn to know and cherish good lives that they own, and learn to give out to the public. I will recommend Tzu Chi to all my friends

Tzu Chi Education Foundation has provided education emphasizing love, virtues, and good character. Staff and adults on campus hold these values closely when they interact with students, reinforcing students' positive character. It's very different than traditional schools that only emphasize test scores. It will be a wonderful place for parents who would like their children to have more than just academic achievements.

I’m so happy to have found Tzu Chi foundation and get to work with them side by side to help serve our local communities. Tzu Chi has many medical outreaches throughout the year to help the less fortunates! I will continue to introduce my friends and family to volunteer with me. Thank you TC!

Tzu Chi Education Foundation is a great organization and have been supporting the community. They organized compost Give-Away (Include e-waste collection) for local families, and also held charity sale to raise money for Ukraine.

This is the best school system I have seen yet - compassion driven and child focused with a purpose to help those in need. The first Tzu Chi school was founded in 1989 (Tzu Chi Nursing College) by Dharma Master Cheng Yen to foster outstanding and compassionate medical professionals. In 2000, Tzu Chi established its Education Foundation to deliver superior education where "kindness, compassion, joy, and selfless giving" is the motto. "Respect for life and faith in human nature" is the guideline and "Education of virtue, education of life, and education of the entire person" is the goal. Beautiful curriculum, staff, teaching methods, lovely place to work and educate your kids. You won't find a more compassionate and focused, well-managed school.

I love Tzu Chi community. They are very helpful and generous.

My little boy attended Tzu Chi summer camp. One day he fell at the playground and fractured his elbow. The teacher called me right away and notified me of the accident. Afterwards, they kept following up with me on my son’s injury recovery status and offered to help. They really cared about my son’s wellbeing. His camp teacher even organized the class to prepare a get-well card and a goodie bag. That was so sweet. Thank you for making the best out of an unusual circumstance!

I like Tzu Chi Education Foundation because they are a group of dedicated, passionate educators who believe not only in bringing solid academic programs to students but also in teaching children important values such as gratitude, respect, kindness, and compassion through our character education program.

Tzu Chi Education Foundation is a wonderful place. The students are able to learn about education, agriculture, and recycling. The people here are super nice and caring.

My time as a youth volunteer throughout middle school has taught me so many valuable life, communication, and service skills. All of my experiences with Tzu Chi have been so eye opening and educational! Although I’m no longer a youth volunteer, I enjoy spending my spare time helping out at the Life Science Garden in walnut!

I like the organic loofah, banana and winter melon grown in the garden. They are very fresh and delicious.

I started working in Tzu chi Education foundation in June, 2021.
Working here is a great experience and pleasure, all my coworkers are nice and professionals. Tzu Chi Foundation is built on compassion, giving and love. People who work/ volunteer in Tzu Chi do not just say, they are all role models to learn from.
After I understood Tzu Chi, I was happy to enroll my daughter to Tzu Chi preschool.
She loves her teachers, classmates and she is learning Chinese, besides Chinese and the academics my child is learning and building good character traits. (so far she has mentioned about responsibility, table manners, caring and kindness, and saving money to help others)

This is great organization, they provide great support to the people who need help. They " pay it forward" and help the communities.

This organization offers an amazing opportunity to help the community while keeping activities interest. I, personally, am involved with the weekly events and it is amazing. The workers are amicable and the community is welcoming. Come experience it for yourself.

Even though I’m not a big donor, I’m surprised that I can really see (actually feel) the dollars I donated to be used in the farm, in the school programs….. with the happy faces of the children and families at Tzu Chi even during the pandemic.
