Target demographics: In 09/26/2013 TYRONE GOODSON YOUTH AND SPORTS PROGRAMS, INCORPORATION, was established as a 501c3 not-for-profit organization with the purpose of providing a safe haven where under privileged you can participate in comprehensive programs, football, basketball and academic tutoring that promotes the physical, educational and life skills necessary to prepare and empower them for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives.

Programs: What is the OLD SAINT NICHOLAS PROGRAM? The TYRONE GOODSON YOUTH AND SPORTS PROGRAMS, Incorporation, has developed an Old Saint Nicholas Program, which will select a defined number of youth through a vigorous selection process. The scope of the project involves distribution of Christmas packages to needy youth in our target areas and will be based on criteria, The program will in the near future be expanded to a Tri-County program that includes Citrus and Hernando counties. This program will focus highly on the economic disadvantage in providing the joy of Old Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus. All toys are intended to be educational.The types of educational toys will vary on ages, course of study, and accomplishment in the class room. Youth excelling in school we hope to provide Lap Tops and educational software, among other educational materials that will promote excelling in the classroom. All youth selected will be furnished with toy packages that our research determined will best serve each youth selected as a means to promote the joy of Christmas. The TYRONE GOODSON YOUTH AND SPORTS PROGRAMS, Incorporation, Old Saint Nicholas Program, will commence every year on December 1st. The organization begins its selection process the week after Thanksgiving. Old Saint Nicholas Program intentions are to provide goodwill to youth in need through distribution of Christmas packages for up to 150 youth, with the intention of expanding the selection number each year by 10 needy youth until, hopefully, all needy youth have been served. Forty-Forty Turkey Giveaway Program What is the Forty-Forty Turkey Giveaway Program? The Forty-Forty Turkey Giveaway Program is based on providing free turkeys to the needy in lots of forty recipients at a time. This is our first event, but is projected to be an annual affair. All you need to qualify is to be in need. There hundreds of needy family that may benefits from the 40-40 Turkey Giveaway Program. Turkeys will be given our before Thanksgiving starting in 2017. KEEPING THE FAITH PROGRAM What is the Keeping The Faith Program? The program "Keeping The Faith Program" is in honor of Alvin Delaine. The program was developed in honor of a young African male, who was diagnosed with terminal Colon Cancer at a very young age and was treated until his death by UF Health Shands and UF Health Jacksonville family of hospitals and services. The Keeping The Faith Program primary purpose is to sponsor funding raising events and efforts to donate to the UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, Child Life Program in in honor of Alvin Delaine. It was Alvin's dying wish that a program be developed to assist the cancer stricken children at Shands in coping with their serious illness. UF Health Shands Children's Hospital is also a member of the Children's Hospital Association, formerly known as the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions. The Children's Hospital Association advances child health through innovation in the quality, cost and delivery of care. Representing 233 children's hospitals, the Association is the voice of children's hospitals nationally. It champions public policies that enable hospitals to better serve children and is the premier resource for pediatric data and analytics, driving improved clinical and operational performance of member hospitals. UF Health Shands Children's Hospital has 167 beds, including fully-equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. UF Health Shands Children's Hospital is part of the Children's Miracle Network's alliance of premier hospitals for children. The TYRONE GOODSON YOUTH AND SPORTS PROGRAMS, INC, developed the Keeping The Faith Program for the purpose of being a key player in soliciting funds for donations to Shands Child Life Program to offset its costs of purchasing supplies.
