Mission: TrueGift Donations hopes to alleviate the critical shortage of school supplies in U.S. K-12 schools. For various reasons, school supplies for classrooms run less than $20 per student per year in most classrooms, and teachers spend money from their own pocket for school supplies. We believe that providing the specific supplies teachers require is the most efficient method for helping our education system.
Programs: Giftlists. Our primary purpose is facilitating the direct donation for required supplies to individual teachers. Teachers list the specific supplies requested on our web pages, and donors can donate supplies directly to those teachers, or make a monetary contribution to TrueGift Donations for us to contribute those specific supplies. We also provide for donors to make more general contributions, e.g., a sum for supplies to 7th and 8th grade science classes in poorer schools.
