This rescue is one of the best. I have adopted 3 dogs from them and have had no trouble. All of my questions were answered I even got a care package with each adoption. They truly love all of the dogs in their care. They may be particular about who they adopt to, but that is because they want to be sure the dogs will be well taken care of. Can you blame them when these babies have been neglected and abused by there previous owners? I can't say enough about how great this rescue team is. They go above and beyond!
I have no words to express my most profound gratitute to this rescue mission and in particular, to Ms. Lisa. She rescued my elderly dog from a shelter in Miami. My poor dog had been lost for 2 weeks. She was scheduled to be euthanized but Ms. Lisa rescued her on time. Lisa not only rescued Chichi but took her to the Davie Veteranry Clinic, where Dr. Bennett saved my Chichi. They took excellent care of Chichi. When I went to pick her up at the clinic, Ms. Lisa had all the paperwork ready and she even gifted Chichi a beatiful leather collar with crystals. I will be eternally grateful to Ms. Lisa and Dr. Bennett.
I find it very interesting that as soon as the two below commented their honest review. On the same day of 8/27 suddenly five or so people who WORK or VOLUNTEER for this company made a comment. This organization claims to rescue their pets. I cannot attest to the validity of their adoptions or rescues. As I personally know that they have rescued a pet that was actually a lost pet. Then the original owner went to pick the pet up and they refuse to answer calls, questions, remarks and any sort of attempt to reach out. They’ve blocked numbers and emails. What professional dog rescue program does this? Not all the dogs they have have been rescued. Some are being kept from their original owners. Including “Kim” with renal failure. They claim the original owners were abusers and that they “rescued this pet.” The reality is that this pet was a lost pet that the original owners loved very much. When they finally heard someone had found the poor lost dog who is an elderly dog. They refuse to return the dog. Despite police report, evidence of ownership, and evidence of a healthy loving household. They just keep their pets for the money and profit they can make off of them.
I was introduced to True and Faithful Rescue Mission by Stephanie Hoverman. After hearing about it from her and all the great things they were doing, I wanted to visit the Senior Ranch and all the furbabies there! Wow! What an incredible place for these precious dogs. They are given topnotch care by owner Lisa Letson and all the loving and caring volunteers. After a few days there I was able to witness the incredible care and love each one of these babies was given! Totally stole my heart. Any dog that comes to the ranch truly become princesses and princes, treated with respect and given the best medical treatment available! After volunteering a few days, I knew I wanted to be a donor and supporter of True and Faithful Rescue...and...am now fostering when needed. I also have a foster fail, can't imagine our home without her!
I have been to the ranch where so many discarded dogs are well taken care of. Dogs that have been overbred by careless puppy mill owners, dogs that were dumped at shelters, dogs that were left on the streets, dogs that were neglected by their owners - left in a backyard all day and have to run away from a horrible situation. True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission gives these dogs a better life, no matter how long they have left. They bring them to the vet and make sure they are healthy if they are adoptable, and if not, they still live comfortable lives until the end. These dogs are so lucky to be taken care of by the generous fosters and volunteers. I am happy to donate to this great organization whenever I can.
This place is fantastic!! They really care about these dogs and go above and beyond! Beautiful grounds and beautiful care by all! I have two rescues and best choice I’ve ever made! I’ve also donated and will continue to do so!
I have had only the best experiences while working with this rescue. for several years I have worked doing transport, fundraising events, and volunteering at the facility with day-to-day operations. We have saved and placed many dogs together.
But most importantly after working with them for years they placed the sweetest old lady that I never knew I needed to complete my life. I have fostered many pups for them, but the Director knew this girl was supposed to be mine. She has completed my life and brings me more joy than I ever knew.
So I can honestly recommend this group from every level. A volunteer, a partner, an Adopter, I donor, and huge supporter.
I have been supporting, adopting & fostering dogs with this rescue for over 7 years. Known to rescue senior dogs & dogs with extreme medical issues the care received has always been the first priority when preparing for adoption. The dogs are given appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter & dentals in addition to any other medical issue that needs addressed. I have adopted 6 dogs to date & Lisa has always been there for any questions or support I need even years after I’ve adopted. I adopted a female (pictured) with mammary tumors, severe dental disease & hernias in addition to liver compromise & surgery was completed with all factors involved & she is still thriving 3 years later. Currently I am fostering a deaf senior with a severe eye infection & have been provided with everything needed to properly care for this special needs dog. He will be cared for & healed before his adoption can take place. I would give this rescue & Lisa more than 5 stars if I could.
I have been working in Rescue for many years now. It has been my honor and pleasure to work with true and faithful. Every dollar that comes in goes all for the dogs and their care. The medical treatments that all dogs receive through true and faithful is incredible.
I am a long term foster for this rescue. I foster the hospice cases. I have had the pleasure of having some of these hospice cases for just a few months and I have had them for 2 years. Some of these dogs that came in had cancer, stage 4 renal failure. They were uncared for during the major part of their life. They were cared for at the end. I've learned a valuable lesson of the loyalty of these dogs that came from nothing.
I have adopted dogs from this rescue since they started. Very open, honest about any issues that the dog has. I will keep working with this rescue to save the dogs that have been neglected by their past owners.
I can't attest to the validity of adoptions with this place. The way they place animals is sort of a high turnover. There is a huge lack of post adoption support. They claim you can always reach out for tips and advice but each time you do, they make it feel like you are a nuisance and causing disruption into their daily lives. For simple things or legitimate concerns, they will point fingers at you for providing poor care when it is far from the case. The folks here are completely convinced that they know every dog extremely well on a personal level and that all their dogs are issue free. Please be transparent, a rescue dog will always have flaws, there is no such thing as perfection. It's also extremely shady that dogs are not allowed to be adopted where they are based (Venice, Florida) They spend all the time driving up north to Virginia and New York and even flew dogs out to Denver... There isn't even a meet and greet between the dog and the human. It's a completely flawed approach. If you want to foster to adopt, forget it, you only get 2 - 3 days to decide if you want to be considered. If you apply outside of that window, forget it. You can't even be considered. Given these circumstances, it also takes a dog a few weeks to truly get comfortable with someone. No one is going to know right away if they are the right match or not. With that in mind, it's so important to be supportive and empathetic if people reach out for help. Instead Lisa shuts you out and deters you from ever wanting to reach out to her again. I recommend going with another rescue who would be more welcoming and supportive.
