I started working with Trinity Rescue in February of 2017 after a sudden tragic death of my only child. I went to coumseling, but wasn't getting what I thought I needed during what is the most difficult time of my life. I prayed to God daily, asking for peace, love and understanding....I also prayed for God to help me find a purpose that would help in the healing process. Well, God does work in mysterious ways....I saw a friend had posted a picture working at Trinity as a volunteer....I knew immediately that's what I needed to do.I cannot begin to tell you the rewards I have received from the rescue. The owners are absolutely wonderful, loving caring people...not just for the care of the horses, but for each of the volunteers....there are a lot of volunteers and they know each by name and have a personal relationship with each of us.They are eager to share their knowledge for caring for these horses, ensuring that they receive the individual special needs required. In the short time I have been there, I have seen several abandoned, abused, starved horses rehabilitated to the most amazing, beautiful animals. Trinity goes far beyond the call of duty when they are notified of horses in need. In addition, to the full time job of the rescue, they both have "regular" full time jobs.Trinity is a blessing to the horses and to all of the volunteers. My soul was (is) broken and so are the new rescues. Together we are healing.
Cynthia and Joey truly have hearts of gold. The love and care they give to horses in need are beyond measure. My heart was broken following the loss of my gelding companion of 27 years, when someone told me about a sweet gelding recently arrived at Trinity Rescue. His owner had passed after a long battle with cancer, but prior to his passing, he asked Trinity to find a good home for his beloved buddy. When I saw him, I knew we were meant to be together. Cynthia was incredibly welcoming, kind and understanding. She made the process smooth and communicated with me in a timely and detailed manner. Jabez joined our family and is very much loved. In visiting Trinity Rescue and staying in touch, it is clear just how very dedicated Cynthia and Joey are to their mission. They are a gift to the countless horses and donkeys they rescue and to those of us who are fortunate enough to be honored to be given the opportunity to share our lives with them.
Trinity Rescue not only rescues horses, but people. They certainly rescued me. I had lost my Arabian heart horse who had been with me for 27 years. Needless to say, my heart was broken. The loss of a beloved pet is very difficult and healing takes time, so I wasn't looking for another anytime soon. But one day a photo jumped out at me on Facebook and tugged at my heart. It was a sweet Arabian, Jabez, who had just recently come to Trinity following the loss of his dear person. Once I saw that photo, there was no question about contacting Trinity to meet him. Cynthia was nothing short of amazing. She was so kind and helpful as we navigated the adoption process. After meeting and riding Jabez, I knew that we were meant to be together and both Cynthia and Joey made it happen. I was so touched as they showed me around their beautiful facility and introduced me to the other special souls they are caring for with kindness, love, attention and the best of care. Everyone who volunteers there truly loves what they do. Trinity Rescue is a magical place. Cynthia and Joey are as dedicated as they come. We are so very fortunate that they provide an amazing service. Jabez and I are truly grateful.
It's really hard to know where to start with describing my experience with Trinity Rescue and Sanctuary. I have been involved with Tirnity Rescue for 7 years now since they started. Not only have I learned a LOT about horses and horse care, but about myself and others who are there to help the rescue also. The owners and leads are always willing to teach horsemanship, care, and everything you want to know and could know about horses. They've built a great community in dedicated volunteers that not only shows in their verbal and celebratory appreciation for them all, but you can see and feel that the volunteers care just as much too. I've seen amazing transformations from horses who were so malnourished and couldn't stand (and helping to get them back up) to beautiful creatures that some are beyond recognizable because of their regained health. Not only does Trinity change these horses lives physically for the better but works to improve their minds by building trust and discipline through love, kisses, ground work and other knowledgeable and respectful training! Such an amazing nonprofit which is why I tell everyone about it and always support them.
Trinity Rescue, where compassion, integrity, and determination are just a few of the attributes seen at this rescue. Compassion for each animal, no matter the circumstance is so clearly evident. Integrity in how they operate, at all times, is seen and heard in interactions. Determination to help heal the bodies, minds, and hearts before finding a forever home to continue the same love and care.
I have my two heart horses as life partners because of this rescue and I highly recommend anyone looking for the same to visit Trinity Rescue!
Trinity seems to know what every individual horse needs, as a volunteer it amazes me every time how every horses needs are met. They are a wonderful sanctuary for these horses to be re- homed after being rehabilitated with love!
Started volunteering at Trinity I guess about 1 1/2 years ago - unbelievable how they know exactly what each horses individual needs are. Rescue Rehabilitate & rehome with such love - I'm honored to be even a tiny part of that!
I only visited once for an orientation and volunteered (had things going on and live about an hour away). But I could tell the horses are loved and well cared for while I was there.
Absolutely love this place and everyone involved! They are doing amazing things to help the horses. And make barn chores fun while volunteering their time and effort
I have been an active volunteer at Trinity Rescue & Equine Sanctuary for over 3 years now, and I am happy that I did not miss this great opportunity to help in any way that I can to rescued horses. Cynthia and Joey Heaton are the founders/owners and they say this is a dream come true for them. The truth of the matter is that not only have they helped our horses, but they have also helped people to get to know all about horses, which leads to loving them and everyone else who frequents the rescue. It is unimaginable the amount of friendships (human and equine alike) that have developed here. Everyone is courteous and loving. I can sense that the horses are all happy here until the absolute right person(s) come along to adopt them. Then, or course, it is a bittersweet situation and I can guarantee you that any adopted horse will never be forgotten. Trinity Rescue is truly a wonderful organization and I am thrilled to be a part of it; learning more and more every day.
Trinity Rescue was presented to me on 6/14/15 (over 2 years ago) and I continue to be honored to be a part of this organization. The founders have taught me so many things about horses that need to be rescued. I have seen enough, but probably not all, abuse, neglect and abandoned cases that have come into Trinity Rescue. With a lot of love and medical evaluation and treatment, these horses are restored to their "should be" status. Trinity continues to rehab these horses and trains them to be rideable under saddle before placing them up for adoption. Potential people that want to adopt need to prove themselves worthy of adopting any of these horses. I admire these qualities and I will work tooth and nail with this Rescue to help them achieve their goals. I am "hooked" as they say and once a valuable adoption takes place, it is bittersweet. You feel happy for both the new adopter and the Trinity Rescue horse, but you feel like their is somebody missing in your life when the horse departs. I would recommend Trinity Rescue to any potential volunteer or potential adopter. The people who direct Trinity Rescue work hard to make sure there is an absolute true fit for these horses, and the part that is also admirable is that if the parties (horse and adopter) do not work our, Trinity Rescue will take the horse back in a heartbeat.
Trinity rescue is one of true love and dedication not only to the horses it saves but also to anyone who walks through their door! After losing my beloved, well known Atlanta news brother inlaw, Capt. Herb Emory my daughter and I decided to do a charity fund. After much research we felt Trinity rescue was on par with Capt Herbs values and love of animals! Never meeting Cynthia before we showed up and were given the full tour, met all the rescues and told of their past awful stories! Cynthia was full of excitement and sorrow for she too was a fan of Capt Herbs! During our visit she showed us a pregnant mare that they had rescued and was ready to deliver at any time. We left that day with our hearts full and Cynthia with a check and supplies... life is good! A few months later I see a facebook post that the mare had delivered a healthy colt and Trinity had named him Captain!! Yes the tears flowed and of course when the time came he was destined to be mine!! Funny how people can come into your lfe and change it forever!!
This non profit is amazing. The work and care they give these horses is some of best out there.
Trinity is an amazing rescue. The Horses thrive here and Cynthia, Joey and all the many volunteers genuinely care about their wellbeing.
Trinity is an amazing organization. Their capacity for compassion and selflessness are an inspiration for us all. So grateful for the refuge they provide so many neglected, abused and unwanted equines.
Trinity Rescue has been such a blessing to our family. When my family was ready to welcome a pony to our family for my daughter, the Trinity Family was so patient with us in searching for the right fit! Cynthia did not give up on us and I was so surprised to find a message from her while we were on a family cruise. She sent pictures of Clara and said she thinks she may have the pony for us! Well she was so right! Emma visited Clara a few times and the staff was so generous of their time in helping us tack, letting Emma ride, telling us all about Clara’s story, and giving us as much time as we needed to decide if she was the right fit! We have had Clara at our farm for just over a year and we are so in love with her! Thank you to all the Trinity staff!
This organization is the real deal. Rescue, rehabilitate, train, rehome or sanctuary. We have three of their horses.
Trinity rescue fights hard for every horse they come in contact with. Trinity takes as many horses as they can to give them the opertunity at a better life. They taken in horses with uncertain futures just to make sure they know love and compassion within their life time. No matter the obstacle the team at Trinity handles it with as much grace as possible! They give horses that may have other wise never known a loving home a chance to be loved by a family all their own. With out this selfless detacation from the Trinity team many horses would be still living a life of hurt and fear.
Trinity rescue is down to earth and values every member of the volunteer team! They bring horses back from the abyss and invest in each horse that crosses through their doors so they can be a healthy, happy animal on the inside and outside!❤️ Trinity values the old horses as well as the young! A truly amazing organization that love investing time in!
We are so lucky to have Trinity Rescue in our lives. Our family is new to the world of equines and could not have managed without their help. Trinity Rescue tirelessly assisted our family with horse education while we searched to find the perfect companion for our pony. All horses in Trinity’s care receive the very best care AND so much love from all the volunteers. We are beyond thankful for Trinity Rescue and all they continue to do for horses and the entire equine community.
Trinity Rescue is dedicated to healthy new beginnings for horses. The owners and volunteers are top notch horse lovers. The volunteers are compassionate, organized and dedicated to providing excellent care to all the horses and ponies...with roomy stalls and gorgeous pastures to boot. Definitely 5 star operation.
Have seen first hand what great care all the people at Trinity have for the horses!
Trinity rescue is truly amazing their work is therapeutic for the horses volunteers and for the lucky people in which adopt these horses!!!
Trinity is close to my house and I love volunteering there. You can tell everyone there loves horses and just wants to give them the best care they deserve. They truly get rehabilitated through the love that the volunteers give them.
