I started working with Trinity Rescue in February of 2017 after a sudden tragic death of my only child. I went to coumseling, but wasn't getting what I thought I needed during what is the most difficult time of my life. I prayed to God daily, asking for peace, love and understanding....I also prayed for God to help me find a purpose that would help in the healing process. Well, God does work in mysterious ways....I saw a friend had posted a picture working at Trinity as a volunteer....I knew immediately that's what I needed to do.I cannot begin to tell you the rewards I have received from the rescue. The owners are absolutely wonderful, loving caring people...not just for the care of the horses, but for each of the volunteers....there are a lot of volunteers and they know each by name and have a personal relationship with each of us.They are eager to share their knowledge for caring for these horses, ensuring that they receive the individual special needs required. In the short time I have been there, I have seen several abandoned, abused, starved horses rehabilitated to the most amazing, beautiful animals. Trinity goes far beyond the call of duty when they are notified of horses in need. In addition, to the full time job of the rescue, they both have "regular" full time jobs.Trinity is a blessing to the horses and to all of the volunteers. My soul was (is) broken and so are the new rescues. Together we are healing.
I have been volunteering here for over a year. I have seen so many horses come in fearful and starved for nutrition and love. They get fed, loved and trained. They become confident, loving and happy. All of the volunteers that I have met have a high level of commitment to the animals and to the organization. It is a great place to give time, effort and love.
These horses have come from varied pasts. After hearing their stories and seeing the way they have learned to love and trust, it is rejuvenation to my soul as well.
God bless Cynthia and Joey. You could never understand how much time they spend Helping these horses. I admire and are grateful for people like them.
This is a wonderful organization. Cynthia Heaton and her husband have sacrificed their lives to give these beautiful animals a second chance. God bless them and all the volunteers that dedicate countless hours to help.
I rode & owned horses before I went to college. They were the best years of my life. I miss my horse so much. I read Cynthia's story about finding her childhood horse & how she rescued Greyson. It spoke to my heart. I never found my horse but helping rescure other horses & knowing they were someone's special horse makes me feel prevliedged to volunteer at Trinity. All the horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules are loved & cared for at Trinity!! It's truly a special place
My daughters & I volunteer at Trinity horse rescue. We love it! Wonderful people and great horses. We have seen horses come in from horrible conditions and flurish into wonderful & happy horses. Each rescue story is amazing to see and be a part of. These horses are loved & spoiled as they should be. We are proud to be a part of Trinity
Trinity is truly an amazing sanctuary for these animals of every shape and color. Everyone is so lovely and such a wonderful family to be a part of.
Trinity helped my family through so much!!! It's not just about the horses! !! Hands down, 4 hooves or 2 feet, your family once your here!!!!
I love this place! My daughter and I stumbled upon this place looking for a way to give back to the community, I had no idea that just with a few visits this place would help & change my family so much! Each day we wake up & look forward to checking the Facebook page for updates & any photos of the horses. On the days we are blessed to go to the barn & help out everyone there is so welcoming & friendly! They are very informative & eager to answer any questions we may have......and with a 7 year old, we have a lot of questions! The ponies here are truly loved & you can see that everyday....... Thank you Trinity Rescue for opening up your home for us!!
I started volunteering a year ago at Trinity. I have never seen more care, commitment and passion. The owners and other volunteers pour their hearts and souls into the mission of saving abused and neglected horses.
I recently started volunteering at Trinity and I've already felt the blessings. It is clear Cynthia does what's best for the horses and constantly is thinking how to make their lives more comfortable and full of love. I am amazed at the Trinity takes with getting each horse to trust humans again and find loving homes. I'm a horse lover to the core and I'm excited to continue helping Trinity change lives.
Trinity Rescue was presented to me on 6/14/15 (over 2 years ago) and I continue to be honored to be a part of this organization. The founders have taught me so many things about horses that need to be rescued. I have seen enough, but probably not all, abuse, neglect and abandoned cases that have come into Trinity Rescue. With a lot of love and medical evaluation and treatment, these horses are restored to their "should be" status. Trinity continues to rehab these horses and trains them to be rideable under saddle before placing them up for adoption. Potential people that want to adopt need to prove themselves worthy of adopting any of these horses. I admire these qualities and I will work tooth and nail with this Rescue to help them achieve their goals. I am "hooked" as they say and once a valuable adoption takes place, it is bittersweet. You feel happy for both the new adopter and the Trinity Rescue horse, but you feel like their is somebody missing in your life when the horse departs. I would recommend Trinity Rescue to any potential volunteer or potential adopter. The people who direct Trinity Rescue work hard to make sure there is an absolute true fit for these horses, and the part that is also admirable is that if the parties (horse and adopter) do not work our, Trinity Rescue will take the horse back in a heartbeat.
Trinity Rescue is the most rewarding and wonderful rescue for horses and donkeys that I have had the great pleasure of helping out at since June, 2015. The owners/managers know everything about equine handling and health. I don't believe that there are any amount of words that can truly portray how much each and every horse, mini horse and donkey there are so loved and taken care of. The leaders and volunteers are quite helpful and understanding and give great direction in how to proceed with daily chores and other things that the horses need. I am proud to be an active volunteer at Trinity Rescue, and recommend highly.
Started volunteering at Trinity I guess about 1 1/2 years ago - unbelievable how they know exactly what each horses individual needs are. Rescue Rehabilitate & rehome with such love - I'm honored to be even a tiny part of that!
I have been volunteering at Trinity for about five months now. They really know what the horses needs are which amazes me because they have so many horses. They never seem to miss anything that the horse needs as far as care. Wonderful owners with caring personalities & grateful to the volunteers.
Trinity Rescue is a blessing to horses and volunteers alike. I have had the honor of volunteering with of the most kind hearted folks and the most content Horses I've ever met. Trinity Rescue is the read deal. They are absolutely devoted to saving horses and they protect these precious creatures with a passion that is relentless. I love working with Trinity Rescue! They are amazing!
Second try.......first review didn't take. We love Trinity Rescue. I know Joey from a job in the non-horse field....
It is very obvious that Joey and Cynthia are very devoted to their animals. They are concerned for the health, welfare, and happiness of all who reside with them. We stopped by a while back with our grand daughter and carrots for all the "buddies". We got to meet all of the animals and saw Destiny, who had just arrived. What a difference in that horse today! A real beauty!! Trinity has devoted and wonderful exercisers and other volunteers who also truly care for and love these animals. Joey and Cynthia do their best to make sure the horses end up with a better life!
I have nurtured a love of horses since I was 3 and spending summers on my grandfather's farm. My daughter inherited this same love and we feed our passion by volunteering at Trinity. We have been a part of Trinity for 2 years and are proud to be part of a loving rescue family. The joy of grooming horses and cleaning stalls is not only helping the horsess, but it is therapy for our souls. The Trinity family is loving and embraces the true meaning of love and giving back. They are incredibly caring and create a warm and welcome environment in which to be.
Trinity rescue is down to earth and values every member of the volunteer team! They bring horses back from the abyss and invest in each horse that crosses through their doors so they can be a healthy, happy animal on the inside and outside!❤️ Trinity values the old horses as well as the young! A truly amazing organization that love investing time in!
Trinity rescue does everything with in their power to give horses in need a fighting chance to enjoy their life to the fullest! They also are the most amazing people. Every person who walks through the door is a valued team member no matter what they can do or offer. Trinity works hard to create a supportive envirrmemt for both horses and volunteers alike!
Trinity Rescue is such an awesome place to volunteer!! They take some of the worst abuse and neglect cases I have ever seen! And with the love, compassion, medical care, and food they provide, these horses have their health and their hope restored!!! Their goal, for every horse, is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome each and every one of them, no matter how long it takes. They are committed and value every life and inrich the lives of horses and humans alike!
This non profit is amazing. The work and care they give these horses is some of best out there.
We were in search of a riding companion for my granddaughter, her riding instructor contacted trinity and told her what we were looking for.. At trinity we found Snow White the complete companion for Jacy. They met one afternoon and snow was so sweet and gentle. Jacy groomed and talked and kissed snow constantly. We left and Jacy told me she loved her and they needed each other....
We put the application in and set the ball rolling. Month later we went to pick up snow and the journey began. What a great group of people at Trinity rescue. When we visited snow we were constantly given updates and told how sweet she was and what she liked and how well she was improving. They knew her personality and you could tell all the animals were treated carefully and cared for deeply by the staff and volunteers . Cynthia made the process with a purpose driven of finding the right place for snow with a piece of her heart she placed snow with us and we have grown to love her so much. We board her at Silby farms and Sam and ms. Sandy have helped and taught us so much about caring and taking care of snow. She gets so much attention from all the girls that take lessons and everyone loves snow, she is so gentle and sweet and was a perfect fit for a sweet, timid young rider. Thank you Trinity, Cynthia and volunteers, for giving your time and the hard work it takes to maintain a place for the needy
Resourceful and needed place.
I've seen Trinity Rescue do some wonderful things with the horses they've rescued in the past few years. It's wonderful that this committed group are willing to help horses that have been injured, neglected or abused. They also coordinate with other rescues in the state and offer assistance to them. I'm happy to support their efforts.
Trinity Rescue does amazing work. The countless hours and energy that these horses are given is nothing short of miraculous. I've visited the heard a few times and the staff and horses are all incredible! Love this place!
