Causes: Mental Health, Sexual Assault Services
Mission: Provides support and advocacy to empower adults and children who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse. Through leadership and education the organization works collaboratively with the community to end violence.
Programs: A) crisis hot line - provides 24-hour support for people in crisis. Follow-up service includes referrals for assistance as well as inclusion in on-going support groups. B) shelter-provides 24-hour housing for victims (and families) of domestic abuse or sexual assault. This service includes food, clothing, emotional support, advocacy and limited transportation. C) community outreach - provides education through public speaking and community involvement. This service is provided in schools, workplaces and service organizations. D) crisis intervention - provides 24-hour contact services to victims of domestic abuse and/or sexual assault. Police accompaniment and hospital accompaniment. Please note: as you can see, many of these services cross over. The expenses for each service are nearly impossible to break down. This total represents the expenses for all program services.
