I’ve fostered for Trenton Cats Rescue for a few years now, and it’s been an excellent experience. They are well-organized and well-run; any questions or problems I run across, I’ve been able to get a swift and helpful response from the organization. The adoption events and Facebook posts to get cats adopted are also extremely helpful at getting attention for the animals.
Trenton Cats Rescue found my beautiful tabby on the streets of Trenton and placed her in a loving foster home with absolutely amazing foster parents who loved and comforted her until the day we met her! They went above and beyond to make sure our baby was taken care of with nothing but the best care! You can tell the rescue and their fosters do all of this for the cats because it is something they truly love. Our new cat has been the greatest addition to our family and without the help from the rescue, we would have never been able to complete our family the way we did! I will be forever grateful to the rescue and all of the foster families who take these sweet babies in!
I am a foster and I have met the most amazing, kind, and caring people. They are very helpful and always are there when you need them. I have been fostering with them off and on since Covid and recently I have became a foster fail! This organization helps a lot of cats and always thrives to get them all adopted. We are care for all the cat babies and always want to see them get the best forever homes!
Wonderful nonprofit focused on providing the best possible care and finding the perfect homes for stray and foster cats. As the cat mom of three adorable TCR alumni, I can’t praise this nonprofit enough!
Love our beauty adopted in 2021. Adopted this pretty girl at 3 years old from TCR and couldn't be happier.
They do awesome work for the city of trenton. Taking in cats. Doing fundraisers and adoptions. The city of trenton is lucky to have them!!
Trenton cats rescue is a great nonprofit that has helped my family. I have adopted from them two kittens who were saved and taken care of by Trenton cats rescue before they become my boys in November of 2919. The rescue takes their time making sure the cats are adopted by the right families. They take their time that the personality and age of the cats would be the best fit for everyone. I had such a great experience when I adopted my two boy cats I now donate to them with every paycheck and make sure they also get my company. I am also looking to get another cat and will 100% adopt from them again
I've been a volunteer with Trenton Cats Rescue for the last few years and continue to be amazed by the dedication of the officers and volunteers on a daily basis! No one is paid and most work full-time and have family responsibilities as well. All of the cats and kittens are loved and valued and cared for as best as possible.
My daughter adopted two kittens and then I adopted my cat from Trenton Cats Rescue a year and half ago. I was so impressed with the people and the program that I began volunteering with them. Every one I meet is so dedicated and giving and care tremendously about finding not only a home for the kitties but their purrfect furever home ♥️
I filled out an application recently. I got an interview, but once they realized I was a senior citizen, she said she would have to talk to her director since they do not want to adopt to older people. I have had cats all my life and really miss having cats since the recent passing of my cat.
When we were ready to adopt again after losing our Moe we applied to Trenton Cats Rescue. The volunteers were so kind and caring. They helped our family find the perfect kitty to fit right in. We absolutely love our Cami! I was so in awe of the volunteers that I volunteer, donate & even fostered kittens! This is the best animal rescue group - small but such hard working, giving volunteers! Please do what you can to help them! There are so many kitties that need homes!

Trenton Cats Rescue is the best! We came to them months after losing our longtime kitty Moe and we were heartbroken. They were so kind and caring. They helped us find the perfect kitty, Cami, to join our family. The volunteers give so much of their time and love to help so many cats! I had contact with other rescues in our adoption process and I can say TCR is the best!
I adopted Faith Lynn on February 23, 2019, and she lights up my home. Trenton Cats is an awesome rescue, who truly care about not only their rescues, but the people who adopt them. I went through a vetting process so they were sure that I would be a good pet parent. They have been there for me when I had questions about raising a kitten (even though she is my 6th cat, it's been a while since I had a kitten in the house!) The women are warm and caring. Thank you Trenton Cat Rescue! You're PAWSOME!
The volunteer family of TCR is phenomenal!
We adopted our bonded pair, Spike and Sophie, from a TCR sponsored site in our town. All the TCR folks knew our kitties so well. When it was time to take our pair home, they gave us a special ball Spike was enamoured with...and three years later, he still loves that particular ball! Our brother-sister pair really adore each other, and we are grateful that TCR took the time prior to our adoption to get to know them well enough to recognize that they are a bonded pair.
TCR takes great medical, foster, and adoption care of all the cats they have the pleasure of finding forever homes for! Thank you TCR!
Trenton Cats Rescue is a wonderful organization! I adopted my cat from them about a year ago. They were very thorough in checking with references, which I appreciated. My kitten was bottle fed and kept healthy by an amazing volunteer and is friendly, sweet, and so much fun! I was lucky enough to spend some time volunteering and fostering with the organization, and each person I interact with is knowledgeable, kind, and loves cats!
This rescue group does so much good! They help the residents of Trenton and beyond with anything and everything cat related! They have no location, no funding, and no paid positions at all, yet do more then most township animal shelters in the area. A truely wonderful group, I support them 100% as does my Trenton cats alumni, Misty
2 years ago I adopted Phoenix (the orange kitty by himself) wonderful babie. Unfortunately he got cancer and died at 22 moths. Heart broken I reached out to Trenton cats and they helped me grieve and also helped me with adopting Sissy and Oliver (2 tabbies). Instant love and when I took them to the vet, my vet was very impressed with how much Trenton cats did for them. Sterilization, chipped, shots etc.. since that adoption in July I adopted Denver and Frisco (the 2 ginger boys) again great experience and they were welll taken care of.. Also great volunteers who are always there to help! I give them 5 out of 5 stars.

I have been a volunteer with Trenton Cats Rescue for a couple of years. I’ve volunteered in different capacities and have seen almost all aspects of this nonprofit. This is an all volunteer organization. The love and care for cats is evident everyday. All of the cats and kittens that are dropped off, trapped, returned, and picked up are cared for by the volunteers and all are eventually found good homes. Everything is done to make sure each cat is healthy when they are adopted by their forever families. I’ve adopted 2 myself! Trenton Cats Rescue volunteers do work most others would not do.
We have adopted two beautiful cats from Trenton Cat rescue! It was wonderful working with them to bring the two kitties to their forever home!! This non-profit is doing a great job and performing a much needed service!!
I adopted my sweet, gorgeous cat, Jack, from Trenton Cats Rescue almost 3 years ago. TCR had pulled him from a shelter along with his mom and siblings when they were tiny nursing kittens. I'm so grateful to TCR for saving him; he is truly a perfect cat and the love of my life. The volunteer assigned to interview me when I applied to adopt was very sweet and patient. Everyone from TCR who I encountered was kind and clearly passionate about saving cats. They are so energetic about throwing new and interesting fundraising events, and whenever I see their adoptable cats in retail stores they are clearly very well cared for. TCR is a wonderful organization. Attached is a photo of Jack the day I adopted him, and another photo of him from this month (6 months old/3 years old).
We've adopted 3 cats from TCR, and have been very happy with the rescue! They're very responsive, in the event that any issues should arise with adopted cats, and very easy to work with.
I have been fostering for Trenton Cats Rescue for a little over a year and a half. At least 15 cats have stayed with me and most of them have been adopted! The folks who run the rescue are a super dedicated group. Meds, food, litter, etc. are always available and if I message someone with a question, I get a response quickly. A more passionate group you will it find.
Trenton Cats Rescue has brought so much into my life. Over the past 5 years, I've adopted 3 awesome cats, made a bunch of friends at various events, and have personally helped several hundred cats and kittens find their furever homes. This group is amazing and I am super proud to be part of it :)
I volunteered for this organization for several years. They do an excellent job of providing foster and shelter for cats inside select Petsmart stores. The cats and kittens are treated with the utmost care and are socialized so that they can be placed in loving homes. Of course they are “no kill” and often save cats from that fate from other shelters. I saw even the most unlikely candidates for adoption find great homes even though it may have taken up to a year. All potential adopters are screened and every possible effort is made to make a perfect match and guarantee a “furever” home! Of course I have added 2 beautiful fur babies to my home from this rescue and they are my best friends.
I recently adopted a kitten, named Vegas 8.18.18 and he is a joy. Wally Taco Bell has a new playpal Holly Berry who I adopted on 12.18.17. He loves playing with any toys and isn't very fussy with food. His biggest joy is cuddling with his new playmate Holly.
I recommend adopting before buying as there are so many cats and dogs that need homes. Trenton Cats Rescue is the best when finding a pet.
Susan and I are happy with our Ward, our Trenton Cats Rescue adoptee. We've renamed him George. The adoption process was very efficient and organized. Our email inquiries were answered very promptly. We are impressed by Rescue volunteers Julie Monastersky and Kristina Wetzel They are both conscientious, knowledgeable, and caring both for the adoptees and the people who adopt them. We also appreciate the facilities and supplies donated by PetSmart as well as the veterinarians and other Rescue volunteers who saved and cared for the adoptees. Susan, George, and I thank the organization for so effectively carrying out its mission in our community.
Trenton Cats Rescue is one of the best rescue groups I've ever encountered! Everyone is so warm, friendly, and helpful. You can immediately tell that the cats' happiness and well-being are the most important things to this group. They will go above and beyond to find the right match for you and work with you if things don't go as planned. I can't say enough good things about the people and cats I've met through this rescue! I adopted my kitty last week and I love her so much! Her foster family is amazing and helped raise such a sweet, loving cat!
The people that run Trenton cats and all the volunteers are simply amazing! They are so hard working and they care so much about every cat that comes their way. It is extremely hard work to foster and care for all the kitties, but you will never see anything but smiles and deep love for every furry friend at Trenton Cats. Thank you everyone associated with Trenton Cats and especially all the foster families for what you all do! Our latest family member (Ellie the blind kitty) has been an amazing addition to our now 4 cat household. Thank you for caring for her and giving us a chance to be friends with another truly amazing cat!
My favorite TCR moment was hosting a spay/neuter clinic at my house.
I met great people doing great things!
At the end of the day, cats ( and 1 bunny) were spayed/neutered, a feral kitten became my new foster (who was later adopted!) & one of my current fosters found his forever home with me.
It was a great day across the board!
(Justin adopted me!)
Trenton cats Rescue has gone above and beyond for me in assisting with vetting and adoptions of several strays over the past 2 years. They are all so nice and caring and take time to explain how to handle trapping etc....i highly recommend TCR....they do what they can to help out cats in need...
I actually do a little volunteering for them, my daughter does more. I know they are a group of dedicated people who work hard to find homes for animals who have for one reason or another lost theirs, or who never had one. Since I've always worked with this rescue of course they are my favorite, I can't think of one negative thing about them. They take extra time with cats that need it, and work closely with them, they really care about the animals they adopt out.
I've been volunteering for Trenton Cat Rescue for six or seven years. My husband and I have fostered hundreds of kittens for this organization. Their fervent dedication to animals in need drew us into the community. Even as we have recently moved out of state, we are still fostering for the organization long distance and hope to continue as long as we can!
Rescued my Vedder and Tesla from Trenton Cats. I work at the PetSmart where they are set up and the volunteers work very hard.
We adopted our cat from Trenton Cats Rescue and couldn't be happier with the experience and our new family member. The volunteers really care to match the right people to the right cat. Our cat was rescued injured off the street and the foster care he received before we were lucky enough to adopt him was incredible.
