Programs: Triskeles offers programs for youth and communities aimed at creating a positive and sustainable future. The organization's programs include a number of intensive collaborative relationships with other mission-related organizations. See description of programs on schedule o (page 31) of return. Side by side - teens work side by side with first through third graders in healthy learning activities like cooking, craft making, gardening, and farm visits. This program places an emphasis on making a connection to the natural world. Next steps - teens help third through sixth graders learn environmental literacy through experiential activities. Food for thought - youths between the ages of thirteen to eighteen learn about healthy food choices, organic gardening, cooking, leadership, business/job skills, and youth philanthropy in an expanded summer program. Food for all - organizations become part of a network committed to helping alleviate the growing hunger and poverty issues in the area through a raised bed garden and education program. Tempus conference - an entrepreneurship conference for high school and college students bringing nationally recognized speakers and panelists to share social entrepreneurship skills and practices. Green career pathways, philadelphia - aftr school trainings and career path development that provide paid summer internships and entrepreneur projects for youth. Green career pathways, chester county - job readiness program providing pre-internship training and paid internships followed by individualized guidance for further training, education and employment. Urban sustainability leadership academy - an afterschool program for juniors and seniors in high school providing group activities and individualized case management to support school advancement and college preparation and admission.
Trellis for Tomorrow is an great nonprofit partner focused on the sustainable growth of youth and the community. The work they do to educate all about sustainability and health is invaluable work in today’s world. We are looking forward to partnering with Trellis on an upcoming garden project next spring, to give back to our local community.
