Treasures 4 Teachers has been the greatest gift to my teaching career! I had a parent purchase me my first membership as a Christmas gift back in 2016, and I have been an avid shopper and supporter ever since! I know I can go there and get my classroom stocked with all the necessary materials my kid-o's need without breaking my VERY tight budget. I tell every new teacher I meet "You HAVE to go to Treasures!", and I have yet to have a single one return unimpressed! If you are looking to support teachers, THIS is your nonprofit.
As a special education High School teacher for the past 8 years ,Treasures for Teachers has added to my take home pay.
I can always get school supplies, additions to enhance a lesson, and prizes for students to encourage their academic success. The $5.00 fill a bag has made my teaching salary go so much further. Before T4T, I was spending at least $1000 on school supplies for my students. I have been able to add so much more for so much less (money). Thank You T4T for all that you have added to my teaching and my students learning experience.
I have worked with Treasures 4 Teachers several times over the years on project related work. The organization is well managed with a devoted board and energetic director. The multi-faceted mission of helping classrooms/children, preserving the environment, and helping educators draws many volunteers of all ages. Volunteering at the warehouse is a delightful experience. In the past most donations were for classrooms so they have struggled to find income for salaries and to build membership and rural outreach would take additional resources. If you would like to help this organization and can donate money for salaries, truck maintenance/purchase/lease, membership drives and rural or online outreach projects they would welcome it. The really wonderful thing about T4T is that every donation is used to 110% of its ability. If you donate a toilet paper or papertowel roll it will go to good use at least once more time. If you donate a dollar it will go toward so many things. If you donate 10,000 it will help assure this great organization goes really far.
