Mission: The purpose of the organization is to positively affect the performance of photography enthusiasts and encourage an interest in learning, as well as to support charities that provide basic needs and financial assistance to the humane society and the arts. From the Heart is our way of giving back to the community by using photography and a juried art show, we raise money for local charities in the treasure coast area. Over the past eleven years we have raised over $60,000 that we have given to various charities. Our organization does not retain any funds received, it all goes towards the expenses of the event and then to the charity that is chosen for that year.
Target demographics: Support those interested in Photography; both amatures and professionals.
Geographic areas served: The Florida Treasure Coast
Programs: conducting numerous workshops to educate our members and the community in photographic techniques; prepared for a juried show that was open on the internet to all photographers everywhere; critiqued member photography to relay feedback and guidance in photography;- presented guest speakers to highlight their expertise in different areas of photography.
