Rachael and Nick established the Traveling Lite Foundation to honor the life and memory of their son Ronan. Ronan left our world at the age of 13 after a ten-year battle with a terrible disease. They have another son who is the age now that Ronan was when he passed and is also a student at Dunaway like Ronan.
The foundation works within our school systems to help supply the tools, education, and the skills necessary to achieve success in non-traditional areas of learning.
Traveling Lite recently completed installing the equipment creating a Pod Cast Studio at Dunaway Middle School. Traveling Lite also engaged knowledgeable, outside help to assist the school and students with getting the studio functional and becoming proficient with this new technology.
Traveling Lite is unique in it's purpose and will always be greatful for any donations.
The Godfrey family has my deepest respect for what they have been through, and the work they are doing now. I'm honored to have them as friends.

As a volunteer, I would like to thank the folks on the board who spend their time on events and in meetings to put together these inspirational activités and awards for the students in the community. It’s a blessing to have such loving and dedicated people working hard in Ronans honor. We have plans for many more grants and awards and a new big project - a sensory room in a middle school is our next big undertaking. It’s already getting the teachers excited about the opportunities it will provide their students and it’s wonderful to see and to be a part of it all. I encourage you to consider donations for TLF, it is a small, grass roots group working for the benefit of many students.
The Traveling Light Foundation is an incredible nonprofit organization that benefits and enriches the lives of youth in McMinnville, Oregon. It only exists because of charitable donations from people like you and me. Even if you don't live in McMinnville, know that the young people benefitting from TLF will have a ripple effect on their community and beyond.
Every year for the last three years or so the McMinnville Oregon Masonic Lodge, Union No. 3 A.F. & A.M. donates to this wonderful charity. We are very excited to be a part of this foundation and their ongoing passion towards our children in our community.
I was able to witness Nick and The Traveling Light Foundation install the in-school recording studio and I have seen the positive impact it has had on that community. It is an extremely popular and successful program and gives the community a space to learn and enjoy.
What a phenomenal nonprofit. TLF is making a substantive difference in the lives of young people and I could not recommend them any higher. There are many ways to get involved: community events, fundraising, serving in leadership, donating. You won't regret any of it!
I got acquainted with this organization through friends of the family. I met Ronan and his family a few times. What a great way to memorialize his life and create a lasting legacy. Love the work they do and enjoy being able to help as well.
My experience with Traveling Light is through the vet fun, annual trivia game fundraiser. The organization cares about both its mission and those who donate to it. Highly recommend!
Traveling Light Foundation does wonderful work for our children and schools in our community of McMinnville Or. The money raised every year goes to programs helping positive growth for kids. Such as a recent podcast studio in 2024. I am very proud to have a relationship with Traveling Light!

There is no better feeling than seeing your donation make a positive impact on a child's life! I love the mission & people behind the Traveling Light Foundation...and it helps that the donation events are fun too!
As the founder of this organization, I would like to focus my review on my experiences watching the recipients of our scholarships. Many of our goals have been met in such a short time, thanks to the efforts of our board and volunteers. I cherish seeing the smiles when we hand a STEM computer package to an eighth grader, the smiles on the teachers faces when we show up with an armload of soccer balls, a box of books, or a check to help purchase a new piano. These smiles remind me of my son, Ronan, for whom we founded the organization. He was a spark of hope and inspiration in so many lives, and we are all proud to be working in honor of his love for education and the betterment of our world.
During a local fundraising event, we aimed to replace the aging piano at Duniway Middle School. The event staff's hard work and the community's generosity were inspiring. Our Traveling Light Foundation member had a bright idea – to offer matching donations for that night's contributions. The unity and excitement were contagious, and together, we surpassed the fundraising goal. The new piano brought joy to the school, empowering young minds with the gift of music. This collaboration is a testament to the power of working together for a common cause. As a board member, I'm proud to be part of an organization that fosters such harmonious community support.
As a proud board member of the Traveling Light Foundation, I am inspired by their unwavering commitment to enriching youth education. Their passion for making learning fun and exciting is truly commendable. One of the foundation's recent successes involved donating two Raspberry Pi computer systems to STEM students at both Duniway and Patton Middle Schools. Witnessing the pure joy and excitement on the faces of these talented young minds when Traveling Light Board President, Rachel, handed over the Raspberry Pi was a moment that will forever stay with me. It was a beautiful testament to how this foundation empowers students with creative learning experiences and provides them with the tools to explore their potential. I am honored to be a part of such impactful work and eagerly look forward to witnessing many more success stories in the future!
The Traveling Light Foundation was founded by our very special friends, Nick, Rachel, and Callum, in honor of their son and brother, Ronan, whose legacy lives on through this impactful organization. I am humbled and honored to contribute to these invaluable initiatives and eagerly anticipate many more dreams being empowered through the Traveling Light Foundation's commitment to fostering a love for learning and exploration.
Traveling light Foundation helps to ignite the spark of lifelong learning in our youth. We are a great nonprofit organization that supports local educational goals for our community and our kiddos with a special emphasis on engaging kids where they are and helping them see the joy of learning.
I have only been working with TLF for half a year, but I have already seen the incredible impacts of the work they do. Their fundraising events are community focused and align with their values.
I am excited to help TLF continue to support education and exciting opportunities for the youth in the McMiniville and the greater community!
Traveling Light Foundation (TLF) has been growing and making a difference in the lives of young people. The board has volunteers from all walks of life who are enthusiastic about donating time, money, and resources to bring enjoyable learning experiences to our community. For example, TLF recently donated new Nike soccer balls to the PE department of Duniway Middle School in partnership with United Way. The Youth Advisory Committee works with the board to perform service projects and raise funds, such as McMinnville's Lemonade Day.

The Traveling Light Foundation is committed to encouraging McMinnville's youth to explore the sciences and arts. The scholarship committee has given a Raspberry Pie Package to two different middle school students over the last two years to help these young people continue to pursue their interests. They have donated a piano for Duniway PTSA. The Foundation is also working with a local middle school to get their pod cast studio up and running. As I have said the Traveling Light Foundation is committed to encouraging McMinnville students to explore and expand their interests. Please check out their website at www.gotlf.org.
I have been working with TLF for over a year now and they have an amazing staff and focus in on making a meaningful positive impact on the youth in the community.
TLF has sponsored numerous projects including a piano for the Dunnaway middle school in McMinnville, OR.
