Causes: Christianity, Emergency Assistance, Human Services, Personal Social Services, Religion
Mission: Believing that all people have the right to the basic necessities of life, TCM, a faith-based organization, assists Transylvania County residents in need with the basic necessities of life and opens up opportunities for people to improve the quality of their lives. We also assist the greater community in understanding and responding to these needs.

Programs: CRISIS ASSISTANCE Our financial assistance includes rental assistance, utility disconnect assistance and assistance with heating oil in the winter months. Our food assistance includes 5 days of groceries, fresh produce, meat and personal hygiene items monthly. Our clothing closet assists with 20 items per family, per week and includes men, women, children and infant clothing. Our household room assists with items as needed such as linens, pots and pans, small appliances and camping materials for our homeless neighbors. ADOPT A FAMILY CHRISTMAS Provides Christmas to needy families in our community by enlisting community members to share in the process of "adopting" needy families and providing Christmas gifts and dinner fixings, enabling them to have an enjoyable Christmas through adoption partnerships. BACK TO SCHOOL Provides new book bags and school supplies to children between pre-school and 12th grade. Each book bag is packed according to the students' school list for the year.
