Mission: The organization's primary exempt purpose is to conduct opinion research on solano county transportation policies and various funding alternatives and to educate the community on transportation needs, planned projects and influences on safety, mobility and quality of life.
Programs: The organization retained a consultant in 2016 to conduct a statisticl survey to learn the need and the feasibility of placing a solano county half-cent general sales tax measure on june 2016 primary ballot, which could have brought more than $150 million dollars to the county over five years for much needed improvements for the cities of solano county, many of which have streets and roads in serious need of repair, while bringing jobs and dollars to the local communities, which measure ultimately was placed on the ballot by the solano county board of supervisors. The committee has done similar surveys in prior years. The committee had fifteen meetings in 2015 and 2016.
