Mission: Transplants for Children empowers families to MASTER LIFELONG CHALLENGES of pediatric transplantation We accomplish this through: Peer to Peer Social Networks for children and their parents to create a sense of solidarity and acceptance, and to keep families together Transition Program from pediatric to adult medical care that prepares the transplant recipient youth to survive into adulthood Patient Navigation & Direct Services to help families overcome the complex demands of transplant care cycles Advocacy & Parent Education to eliminate barriers to critical services and assist families to succeed long term

Programs: Transplants for Children was created in 1986 by Sharon and Eric Sutton in response to their own difficult personal experience in securing a liver transplant for their son. Although having endured the tragedy of losing their son, the Sutton’s were inspired to honor his memory by creating an organization dedicated to assisting families manage the daily challenges associated with the transplantation. We have various volunteer based support programs and event throughout the year which enable us to create solidarity amongst our families.
