Hi, my name is Randy and I am a volunteer at the Clubhouse Enrichment Center, a program offered by TLCS and TCORE. It has been my experience we have fun at the Clubhouse. Each day there are activities and workshops as well as lunch. Everyone is respectful and supportive. The Clubhouse offers a consumer-run peer counseling center and a weekly employment service. Please if you are a TLCS or TCORE client I personal invite you to come and visit-take a tour and if you like what you see, join us and become a member. Mission: TLCS provides transitional and permanent supportive housing, independent living skills training, information referrals, advocacy and community support services to people with psychiatric and other disabilities.
Geographic areas served: Sacramento
Programs: Residential services include transitional, and permanent supported housing for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Specialized housing programs are available for individuals with secondary challenges including homelessness, hiv/aids, and/or subtance abuse. Additionally, clients of our residential programs have been trained and supported to staff a "warm-line" to support other clients, and have participated in other community volunteer efforts.
case management services are provided to adults with psychiatric disabilities, some of whom are experiencing homelessness. These services include crisis intervention, information and referrals, housing assistance, benefits advocacy, employment assistance and support to appointments.
outreach services are provided to homeless individuals with mental health challenges. These services include information and referrals, crisis intervention, emergency housing assistance, benefits advocacy, transportation assistance, assistance to secure food and clothing, and referrals for medical, dental services, and psychiatric medication support as well as other community resources as needed.
coordinated psychiatric care and therapy services are provided to individuals with psychiatric disabilities, some of whom are experiencing homelessness. Crisis respite center - provides respite, for up to 23 hours, for adults experiencing a mental health crisis but not in immediate danger to self or others. Staff are available 24/7. The goal is to stabilize the crisis while addressing their basic needs for a safe environment and emotional support so that exploring their crisis with a solution oriented mindset is possible.
