As a member of the board, I have seen the impact that this organization has on people with disabilities entering and staying in the workforce. The programs, trainings and other programs that TransCen puts on are first rate. They have adapted to both the virtual and in-person world. I am proud to serve on the board of this great organization and can't wait to see what all they accomplish in 2023!

As the parent of a son with disabilities, we have been fortunate to have found and worked with TransCen for many years. TransCen’s three-tiered approach to their job placement direct services program is masterful. Their focus on the individual, their personality, interests, support needs and job skills is a winning combination for a successful job placement experience. Individuals are further accomplished as active and engaged members of their community.
TransCen has an exceptional staff of talented, interested, and enthusiastic professionals. Transcen is an organization for which I and my son are most grateful.

Transcen has changed the lives of my students for the better. As a teacher of Franklin Public Schools, I prepared my students to transition from education to the world of work including training, Life Skills college opportunities, jobs and recreation and leisure. Transcen has made this a seamless transition by teaming with me as a teacher and each individual student to gain job skills, job shadows, temporary work experiences and careers. They have also done multiple parent and student presentations for my school district. I am so thankful for how they have helped Craig, Roger, Charlie, Trent, Adiah, Jamie, Caroline, Abby and more! Thank you Transcen for facilitating success for these awesome individuals from my class and other classes in Wisconsin. We truly appreciate your dedicated staff and strategic methods to help people succeed.

I am most familiar with the work of Transcen's Worklink Program in San Francisco. As a professional and consultant in the area of employment, Transcen and its services often are the 'North Star' when I think of where the field needs to be to support individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve competitive integrated employment. They are generous with what they know (training, technical assistance, publications) and committed to systems change.

I've been connected with TransCen on nearly every level. As a parent of a child with multiple disabilities, I watched as Transcen provided him with job development, placement, and on the job training. When the opportunity arose, I joined TransCen's Milwaukee branch, CEO, as a Job Developer and successfully placed scores of clients in community jobs. And I'm proud to say that I have recently been chosen to serve as a member of TransCen's Board of Directors. So I've seen this nonprofit from inside and out, and can attest to its unwavering commitment to the simple principle that meaningful employment is the single most important determinant on the path to inclusion, independence and dignity for people with disabilities.

I'm a person with disabilities, the mother of adult children with disabilities and have led disabilities inclusion strategy for a large global company for fifteen years. I joined TransCen's Board of Directors because I wanted to learn more about direct service providers and I wanted to learn from the best in the field. TransCen is recognized around the world as a leader in helping youth with disabilities transition from school to meaningful integrated employment through training other providers, helping set up and run programs, and working with young people directly in locations including my hometown of Montgomery County, Maryland. Laura Owens and her team are deeply knowledgeable, passionate and creative. Every day they change lives, strengthen communities and help build a better more inclusive future for us all.

I have been involved with TransCen since it's inception as the auditor, and now Board member. I was fortunate to watch the organization grow from infancy to the professional organization it is today. TransCen has always maintained the highest standards whether it be for accounting or professional services. It's been a pleasure working with and knowing all the people that make TransCen what it is today.

I have known the team at TransCen since the mid 2000's and have maintained my connections to them since then. I have done so because of their commitment to quality, to research, to practice rigor but most importantly because of the commitment to the people they serve.

While I am based in Australia and have access to many web base training resources, I have brought my team back to Transcen's on line training again and again because of its quality and relevance to the work we do. Their reputation as a provider of quality goes across the Pacific

TransCen occupies a unique space as an independent non-profit. In this role they can provide quality training and consultation while being free to innovate and advocate. TransCen has a national reputation as an organization that translates current thinking into easy to use practices for schools and disability employment providers. The are willing to tailor their training to the needs to states, schools and providers, and in doing so, are effective in being responsive rather than prescriptive. TransCen is a mission driven organization that does not lose sight of its core mission - to promote meaningful work and community inclusion for all individuals with disabilities. It has been a privilege to be part of the TransCen team and to see their impact on systems, individuals and families.

I started working with Transcen/CEO in April of 2021. I knew right away that the clients we serve were our priority and it was about providing quality services. I have grown in this company and with the clients we serve every single day and I am excited to see what additional opportunities we can expand on in 2023.

As a young parent whose 1 1/2 year old son suffered a stroke and dealt with aftereffects of that event, I became affiliated with TransCen and joined the board of directors. Now 31 years later and with grandchildren of that son who suffered the stroke, I now serve as Chair of the Board of this wonderful organization. Through my affiliation with TransCen over these 30+ years, I have seen the growth of TransCen and the difference it has made in the lives of parents, students, employers and government agencies in ensuring that young people with disabilities are able to find meaningful work as part of their lives. Testimonies by both young people and students and their parents as well as employers have inspired me and made me more aware of the need to be inclusive of all people with disabilities in our country. TransCen's focus on research, training and direct service and its unrelenting commitment to its mission of Improving the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful work and community inclusion make it a great non-profit and one with which I am honored to be affiliated. Thank you for all you do Laura and to your team of dedicated professionals. Oliver Moss

I would see individuals in public settings, who appeared to have some sort of mental or physical disability, and I wondered to myself, how does these individuals get along in life; and whom, besides family, is there to help them. I've been in the service sector most of my working life, working with children, young adults and adults in after school programs and the Juvenile Justice system.
Once I decided to get involved with Transcen, I have been so enlightened to the aspect of Inclusion, and how I could be effective in this realm. Working with individuals that society wanted to place on the outside looking, I was able to add to the Quality of there lives. This was done by bringing them on the inside and showing them as well as employer's, that they have so much to offer to the work force of our country. That they can work side by side anyone, and be considered an asset and an essential factor to the growth of many businesses.

I'm the parent of an adult with disabilities, who is brilliant but will someday need assistance in adjusting to integrated employment. The information and webinars that Transcen makes available are great educational materials for a parent in my position.
