Joining, for me, was a Honor. Finally, an organization focused on creating a win win solutions, not situations for all, Globally; without product sells being it's main focus.

After reading TNKA's mission, the blog, and getting an understanding of the industry. I'm thankful that there's now an organization concerned with Public Health Globally! I'm appalled that there's nothing that governs such a critical industry.

I interview and hire for cleaning companies and i'm always amazed at the [client] contract requirements, the needs and their demands, compared to the wage that they are willing to pay. Everyone, regardless of their profession deserves FAIR WAGES and it's difficult to attract, locate, hire or retain individuals if there isn't a pay incentive or benefits for the work they do; low pay aligns with high turnover which equates to an unhappy client. However, it all starts with a solid request for service and the willingness to pay for service! The old cliche applies, "You pay for what you get".

Custodians and cleaning teams are the first line of defense when it comes to public health, yet the profession is demeaned, turnover is consistently high and young people aren't interested. What would our public spaces be like, and what would our health look like, if public spaces weren't cleaned daily? Trans-National Kempt Association [TNKA] has started the conversation and is creating a community of individuals, companies and organization that will work together to make substantial GLOBAL improvements for the good of our Environment, Safety and Public Health.

TNKA is a true industry leader.

Standards, codes, and regulations exist in most every other industry. TKNA is taking the lead to establish such in the cleaning business industry. Their willingness to educate and inform all who work in and/or are subject to this industry will be benefit all of us.

I look forward to the impact that TKNA is on task to accomplish.

TNKA is an amazing organization that is breaking barriers in the cleaning industry. As a worker in this industry, it is so empowering to know that there are people/organizations who recognize the need for better industry standards and regulations for such an under-served and under-valued community of workers as those in the cleaning industry! TNKA has opened my eyes to the possibilities of change and upward mobility that this industry has to offer and I am honored to be connected with such a stellar group of people who are genuinely concerned about the health and safety of our communities and who are aggressively purposing to bring positive change and evolution to this industry! Thank you TNKA! -Mija January
