For the past 3 years, I have gleaned from the expertise of Tajudeena Jones and Totally Positive Productions. Through God’s Wisdom, Knowledge and Gifts, My journey in Spoken Word and Public Speaking, for years, has granted me access to many main stages throughout my Career.
I was privileged to take part in a TPP Talent Competition in 2021. By the Grace of God, I was able to place 3rd and the doors of opportunity through this great non for profit have swung open ever since.

My experience with TPP was a beautiful one. My family, including myself, 5 children and grandmother were picked up from our scheduled pickup location by TPP transportarion on time. The team was very nice and helpful with loading the stroller for the smaller children onto the bus. During the ride, the itenerary for arriving at Navy Pier was clear and led us to further more excitement as we were told we'd get to enjoy free pizza! What child dosen't enjoy pizza? And what parents dosent enjoy free pizza? We we're picked up on time and arrived at our drop off location on time. We are grateful and look forward to more field trips and or experiences with TPP in the near future.

We had an amazing time with Totally Positive Productions! We are homeschoolers always looking for opportunities to venture out with our kids to learn about our great city! TPP is a great nonprofit organizations that have given out over 10,500 bouquets of Flowers as part of their Love Your Community Campaign" random acts of kindness initiative. They also produced a successful Love Your Community Day Event "Safe Summer Kick-Off' in June 2018 at Chicago Park District, Hamilton Park Cultural Center where over 400 youth and adults were in attendance and were fed food as well.

This non profit is very generous and the staff is kind. The only way I think there could be an improvement is that TPP should include pronouns to be more inclusive and create a safe space for all.
Totally Positive Productions is a phenomenal non profit organization. The staff is very friendly and loving going above and beyond expectations. They have donated new uniforms and school supplies to the disadvantaged as well as offering employment opportunities to the unemployed in the local area. I have observed the positive impact that Totally Positive Productions (TPP) strives to achieve with youth and young adults in Chicago through various programs and services aimed at keeping the youth away from the streets, characterized by gang-related activities. Of particular interest is the talent competitions which search, nurture and develop the talent of young people with the aim of enhancing their creative skills. Totally Positive Productions (TPP) has been working to improve the quality of lives of youth and young adults in Chicago over the last 26 years. TPP has targetted 300 young people yearly through various programs such as Talent Competitions and other 'Off the Street' activities as a deterrent to drug and gang violence. I would highly recommend TPP for the opportunities that it creates for the young people in Chicago.
This nonprofit is doing great have a really great time at the zoo and also the food was amazing not only that but I learn what this program offers it's a great way to spread awareness to others to make our communities better knowing about TPP I will be able to inform others about it and hopefully make a change in there life's making this program grow

I think this non-profit was excellent in terms of doing what it was intended to do. As a nonprofit who aims to educate kids on crime prevention, I would say it did just that in an effective (and fun) manner. I learned a lot from this experience and I loved how personal they were with those within the group.

Hi my name is Keiari Walker. E.t and my grandmother invited me and my brother to the trip, we had so much fun. then we went out to dinner we had pizza, chicken. all kinds of food. We enjoyed the trip, we're looking forward to more trips
It was a enjoyable trip, the children were nice and respectful, the food was nice and amazing, I enjoyed the trip looking forward for more. It's a nice and beautiful thing to take the neighborhood children on trips. I'd like taj for putting this together.
They are doing well on trying to help their community and also protect them. By this I mean helping kids stay out of trouble and keep there mindset towards a bright future and also for adults as well.
Giving back to the community. They are well involved in helping people in so many positive ways. Great organization.
TPP is reaching out to the most vulnerable members in the community, the youth. And by doing so the grandmothers, elderly aunts and such are able to aggressively bond with these young people as they are the ones who accompany them on many of the outings. I took my grandson and great nieces and nephew to the zoo outing. They had a wonderful time as they'd been shut in so long due to covid19 and welcomed the "field trip", as they called it.

This nonprofit organization remains visible in the Englewood community. they offer so many activities for our youth. they work with the parents and other community minded citizens to encourage the youth of Englewood to engage in positive play,and social interaction. At their events they are able to include something for everyone. one outdoor activity in the park this summer included face painting for the little ones, "rap"music for the teenagers and gospel, inspirational singing for the not so young. A good time was had by all!! TPP is a great asset to the community and I hope will continue to be visible yesterday, today and tomorrow.

I took a group of neighbor Kids on a couple of TPP trips. These children have not been exposed to another type of Life because of their environment. I can see the change in them gradually
and I always tell them to stay out of trouble so that they can attend our next adventure so far it's working. They are learning and looking forward to attend our Trips TPP is truly making a change in the urban community

Happy that Totally Positive Productions (TPP) received a Thank You Letter from Sargent Jeffrey West from the 006th District CAPS Office earlier this year on behalf of the Chicago Police Department Eddie T. Johnson (Superintendent of Police). TPP distributed bouquets of flowers to the entire police department staff at the 006th District as part of our "Love Your Community Campaign" random Acts of Kindness initiative!

I founded Totally Positive Productions in August of 1993 and since then our organization has impacted many lives of youth and young adults through our programs such as: After-School and Weekend programs, entertainment workshop, free cultural-enrichment trips, youth employment programs, service learning projects and community outreach initiatives.
I went on a trip with totally positive productions and when I was on it the trip really inspired me. I loved it
They are providing a service that is unheard of giving flowers while a person lives is an Amazing thing so many of my friends and families have been Blessed I have a Daycare and this has made their day.

Totally Positive Productions is a great and fantastic Non Profit Organization. They care about helping youth and young adults create a brighter future. They have wonderful field trips which are also educational and cultural. It's so important to have this resource for children today because it's so easy to slip through the cracks and these people really care about SUCCESS for the future in our youth. They also do wonderful community events and fundraisers. They've had nothing but positive feedback and comments from those who have been involved in making their events a huge success. They also give tools for the young adults in the working world and also do service workshops. This is a wonderful place to be at!
We participated in TPP's 'Safe Summer Kick-Off' and it was a blast! We're an organization that brings kindness to children in the form of Disney characters and crafts, games, etc. and we've been to many different events... however the hospitality and the generosity of both TPP and Taj Jones was amazing. They asked us prior to the event what we needed, and provided us with everything we could ask for, and more! It was a hot day and we were put in the shade... given both food and water, and were constantly thanked by all of their members for coming. I was able to complete 16 hours of Community Service Hours with Totally Positive Productions (TPP) which I needed for court to be in good standings. I learned valued administrative skills while helping TPP in its ongoing mission.

I have been a part of the growth of Totally positive productions for close to a year and I can not say enough about the great work that Taj Jones is doing in Englewood. They also put on some dynamic poetry productions.
I've been involved with Totally Positive Productions for several years now. I finally became a member in 2013. Since I began volunteering til now, the organization continues to take steps to improve its outreach to the youth and continuously focuses on its core mission. TPP aims to reach and cultivate as many youth as possible.
Totally Positive Productions has been a great experience for the youth in Englewood and abroad, it has taught them to be more responsible pre teens, teens and young adulds through the crime provention programs and service learning projects offered. it has taught them communications skills ( reading, writing and speaking) Tpp has also help build self esteem in many youths and young adults. Help build leadership skills and interpersonal skills, helps promote good positive competitions among each other through poetry and poems. Employ youths of employment age. also offer internship in many different areas. Tpp encourages youth to stay in school and teaches how to avoid/resolve conflict through positive role play. I wish there were more programs out here like Tpp, then we would be living in a safer more positive neighborhood. Tpp far exceeds my expectations and i will always support them and have my daughter and her friends participate in the any programs offered through Tpp. Also, Tpp is very resourceful and give high reccommendations when vallet. I really appreciate Tpp. This is my favorite non profit organization.

Totally Positive Productions (TPP) has always kept true to their word in producing postive rap, singing dance and spoken word talent competition. As a matter of fact, TPP has a Spoken Word Talent Competition coming up on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Gorilla Tango Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Spoken Word artists has a chance to win one of three prizes (1st - $300, 2nd - $200 and 3rd - $300.
Totally Positive Productions is committed to helping young people stay off the streets and in school with creative arts and community service. I was working with TPP on submitting an anti-violence public service announcement that was created by the young people in the program. It was amazing to hear the passion and experiences of inner city teens. The organization is also committed to countering negative stereotypes of African Americans created by rap music by creating positive rap. This is a not only an expression of creativity; it's expresses their emotions and pure genius. TPP is definitely a hidden treasure in the big city of Chicago.
I worked with many not for profit organizations but never found any to be unique asTotally Positive Productions (TPP) in displaying youth talents and skills in such an inspirational way. Youth appear very motivated and determined to participate in any activities, event or projects that is sponsored by Totally Positive Productions. They enjoy learning while having fun in a positive-environment. Overall, I feel Totally Positive Productions give youth the opportunity to develop positive attitudes while utilizing their skills by completing different service learning projects and competing for cash prizes in essay and spoken word talent competitions and other competitions. In addition, all of the cultural enrichment field trips youth and young adults participated in were all free of charge. It is hard for not for profit organizations to do something good for youth without focusing on the cost of projects however, Totally Positive Productions make it happen regardless of the cost involved.
I have been with Totally Positive Productions since 2008. I was one of the many youth who participated in their cultural enrichment field trip to Medieval Times. They have helped me manage my anger problem through participating in their Community Works Crime Prevention Program. I was a winner of one of their essay and presentation contest. They took the time to help me when no one else would. I want to thank them for helping me.

I AM POSITIVE THAT THIS PROGRAM HAS DETERRED MANY YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ENGAGING IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.
The vision of Taj Jones in creating Totally Positive Productions has transformed how youth approach performance art and the messages they send. Creating events and contests that encourage positive messages to youth, and even creating an entirely new genre of music with Positive Rap, Taj is truly on the right path in today's world of mixed messages. I have nothing but positive things to say about Taj's enthusiasm, commitment and courage to take on this monumental task, and I applaud his work.
